    I tired this with my mom’s bowling ball. Now I can finish it confidently. I messed up the lid and gave up on it. Thanks to you, I now know it doesn’t need one! Spectacular finish in that bowl, by the way!

    • @JackMackWoodturning
      @JackMackWoodturning  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is what makes for a flat foot, you’ll see the same when you flip your dinner plate over. It can just be a flat but that’s likely to not be flat when shaping by hand. Reducing the surface area means you’ll get nice solid contact with the surface it’s placed on.

    That turned out looking really awesome, but it sure looked like it was a pain to turn! LOL...Did you have to cut out any swearing during this project? 🤨

    The old rubber balls have asbestos in them. Not that plastic ball

      Iv spoken first hand to a number of pro shops who would disagree with you. I’d rather check all balls for asbestos then hope some don’t have it in the core.

    I had NO clue asbestos was in bowling balls. Turning them can cause permanent lung damage. Look up this 'Family of Bowling Alley Owner Awarded $4.4 Million in Honeywell Suit' Unbelievable. Take care guys!!!

      Did you want me to make a bowling ball into a bowling ball ??
