Hello chris-there are supposed to be 2 rare 2p(new pence coins) - the rarest being 1983-2p
There is also a rare 1971-2p (supposedly)- the program didn't say how to distinguish between rare 1971 and 1983 -2p- could u please tell me the marks to look for - thank u

👍👍 every 2p from 1971 -1981 says new pence . Then switched to two pence in 1982 onwards .There’s some 1983 2ps that were struck with new pence on by mistake. So basically you’re looking for a NIFC 1983 2p with new pence on it. Good luck 🤞🍀
