      @sheridan Kirby-lucenti it’s simple the prior owners dident give a shit about the car. Probably had no intentions of actually finishing paying for it. That’s what some ppl do. They start a payment plan for a car, never pay and drive the car until it’s repoed. It’s sad that it happenes but that’s probably what went on here.

      Use dawn platinum. Saturate stain, rub together and let sit for a bit then wash. I use that remedy for everything from grass stains to food stains to oil and grease from a car. Works flawlessly 90% of the time. If it doesn't the first time repeat. The stain will come out

      Goop hand cleaner. It is literal magic and works better than dawn and oxyclean combined. Rub it into the stain, then rub the cloth together to really work the cleaner into the fibers. Let the cloth sit over night, then run it through the wash as normal. It works for blood, grease, grass, makeup, automotive repair dirt/stains, and way more than I can list on here. It even gets the orange spaghetti stains out of plastic tupperware!

      The worst part is that he only removed surfacegrime. The foam in the seats are still gross🤢

    I watched you clean it and I still can’t believe it! That was incredible. I have an irresistible urge to have my car detailed now - just to make sure my car never looks like that.

    1960s Mustang Convertible. Always dreamed of one since a little girl, the sound of classic muscle cars are so cool. Not as much technology, just you and the road.

    I find it amazing how totally thorough he is. It is no easy thing to dismantle the inside of a car… electric seats, all the carpeting… and then clean it so completely. Just amazing!!

    What does one even charge for a disaster like this? You should charge extra for the mental distress of having to even think about where to begin!! Awesome job!!! 👍🏽

      I'm curious to know also, what does a detail job like this go for?

    • @MrWoodyBalto
      @MrWoodyBalto 3 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      I doubt he charges enough. The time involved is enough to total a $4000 car.

      @pas7680 3 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Generally with repo's this bad the value of the car is less than scrap value, so even a thousand dollar detail will be usually worth it. Also detail professionals buy these train wreck vehicles on the cheap to clean up in their down time.

      no joke, probably around a thousand dollars, he dyed the carpet and extracted everything, and if he did the exterior with paint correction, that would be likely at least another thousand

      He has or had an app for telling him what should be charged to me its a 300 dollar detail and itll take 4-7 days

    To the question you asked about 10 minutes in: a white 1986 Honda Prelude 5 speed manual. Originally it was my Grandma's car and after she passed away when I was a child, it was eventually passed down to me; but, in the mean time, it sat out in the elements for a number of years. Eventually we had to get rid of it for a few reasons including a cracked block and rust/algae/moss everywhere. I still regret that. Someday in the future I'll get another and fix it up to like new condition. In the mean time though, I'll be keeping maintaining my current car, and someday I'll hopefully have a chance to pass it down when I have a family. Maybe with an electric conversion along the way ;)

    I feel like you're almost better off getting another carpet from the junkyard haha but man what a difference! Great job man. If I could have any car it would be a Cadillac CTSV wagon. I'd love one of those.

    When you do repo cars, does the bank give you a deadline or the give you all the time you need?
