Team GB Breaker Karam Singh - aka Kid Karam - explains the Olympic sport of Breaking which will be making its debut at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Team GB athletes represented the country for the first time at the European Games in Krakow last summer.

All of you hatin here have no idea about breakin. It is harder than gymnastics and requires years of practice to get to the highest level. It is also super creative and fun to watch. Why yall so negative? Go watch red bull bc one breaking competition and it will blow your mind how marvelous these athletes are.
😂 it's completely subjective like abstract art. You could have someone have an epileptic seizure and some moron will call it interpretive breakdancing and give them a gold medal.
Giving this ACTIVITY olympic status is a 100% insult to real athletes

Well, its a good and bad thing breaking got into Olympics. The same happened when it got mainstream back in 80's. People were afraid it could destroy the culture, but eventually it only spread it all around the world. Hopefully the Olympics only brings more people to jump into the culture not letting it vanish 🙏

There are many sports and Arts which involve comparable athleticism to traditional Olympic sports. The Olympics is a brilliant stage to recognise human achievements. It is good modern practices are being recognised. Many more deserve to be. Those who understand Breaking will know the training required is immense- individual moves alone can take years to learn.

There’s too many so called sports that shouldn’t be at the Olympics. It diminishes the achievements of those athletes who win gold medals in the traditional Olympic events.

It's madness that you can call break dancers Olympians the same way you can call marathon runners, triathelites, swimmers, gymnasts and people who train every day for their entire life to compete.
If you watch enough competitive breakdancing you’ll notice flips and moves that require core strength, flexibility, technique and daily training. Don’t gymnasts perform choreographed routines that include flips and spins?
@@AmadeoAbrogena Agreed. So much ignorance around breaking. The breaking skill level has increased so much since the 90s. People think it's a dead/ghetto cardboard dance but fail to do basic research and see that the countries worldwide that support and sponsor the dance.

@@One-EyedWilly I wasn't saying that it isn't more entertaining. It is simply outrageous that this is an official sport at the Olympics before Netball is, that's all I was pointing out.
I dont agree. This is physically harder and probably requires more skill and years of training to compete at the top level. Just my opinion

It's crazy that breaking gets recognition before netball. You are right about everything you said, but it's not morally correct. Not like the Olympics cares.
