All of you hatin here have no idea about breakin. It is harder than gymnastics and requires years of practice to get to the highest level. It is also super creative and fun to watch. Why yall so negative? Go watch red bull bc one breaking competition and it will blow your mind how marvelous these athletes are.
😂 it's completely subjective like abstract art. You could have someone have an epileptic seizure and some moron will call it interpretive breakdancing and give them a gold medal. Giving this ACTIVITY olympic status is a 100% insult to real athletes
Well, its a good and bad thing breaking got into Olympics. The same happened when it got mainstream back in 80's. People were afraid it could destroy the culture, but eventually it only spread it all around the world. Hopefully the Olympics only brings more people to jump into the culture not letting it vanish 🙏
There are many sports and Arts which involve comparable athleticism to traditional Olympic sports. The Olympics is a brilliant stage to recognise human achievements. It is good modern practices are being recognised. Many more deserve to be. Those who understand Breaking will know the training required is immense- individual moves alone can take years to learn.
It's madness that you can call break dancers Olympians the same way you can call marathon runners, triathelites, swimmers, gymnasts and people who train every day for their entire life to compete.
If you watch enough competitive breakdancing you’ll notice flips and moves that require core strength, flexibility, technique and daily training. Don’t gymnasts perform choreographed routines that include flips and spins?
@@AmadeoAbrogena Agreed. So much ignorance around breaking. The breaking skill level has increased so much since the 90s. People think it's a dead/ghetto cardboard dance but fail to do basic research and see that the countries worldwide that support and sponsor the dance.
@@One-EyedWilly I wasn't saying that it isn't more entertaining. It is simply outrageous that this is an official sport at the Olympics before Netball is, that's all I was pointing out.
@@One-EyedWilly my man you're missing the point. Netball has been a sport for far longer and they've been trying to get it into the Olympics for years. It's crazy that breaking gets recognition before netball. You are right about everything you said, but it's not morally correct. Not like the Olympics cares.
This is as much as sport as Dolly Parton is a rockstar The money spent here could be used for the USA field and track gymnast. Anything basketball you gotta be kidding me.
This is the most stupid thing Ever. The only sports worth watching in the Olympics is boxing and the USA basketball team. This stuff will not make it to the next Olympics. So stupid

@@dh12.breakers are some of the most athletic people on earth, stay mad
@ronk2307 where did I say they weren't athletic? It's not a sport, it's purely subjective.
You should learn how to comprehend a sentence.
I don't condone comparing sports, but if you really wanna do it, are you really going to compare it with gymnastics? 💀💀💀

Putting Derby on the map 🐏
This is as much as sport as Dolly Parton is a rockstar
April 1st?
This is ridiculous. The IOC should be trying to get people interested in the games again. This isnt it.
Karam is a great lad, good luck to him! Used to play football together, always been passionate about his break dancing, been doing it for years.
Nome da musica ?
Lets gooooo
Thats a sport, dont think so. Marbles will be in the olympics next.
There are only five herbs you cannot take!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you think bboys just decide one day they are gonna be breakers and not train? 😂
Haha yeah cause it doesn't take over a decade to become decent in breaking. You play ping-pong, no wonder you don't know what you're talking about.
Is this a fuckin joke 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Log throwing will be next in it 😂😂
Juggling to be the next Olympic sport 😂
Ferret racing would be a lot better than this.. 😂😂😂
Try it out
@@thefeels9086 now thanks.. If I wanna watch that. I'll get a a electric boogalloo dvd from 1984. 😂 😂
Is this the 80s/90s? Whats next? Will rap rock be an event too?

WTF OR LAUGHING STOCKS OF THE WORLD'S MARCHES ON
So break dancing gets the nod but netball can go jump in a lake? Wow.
I would rather wather watch this than netball tbh

I dont agree. This is physically harder and probably requires more skill and years of training to compete at the top level. Just my opinion

I definitely would be napping during a netball game
