I have this soundtrack. I originally recorded it myself while playing through the whole game on a physical Turbo, but I couldn't capture the boss music without introducing sound effects. Later, I got the Japanese rom which has a debug menu with a sound test, so I recorded it that way. Now it's easy to find all this music online.
So happy someone posted this. Amazing soundtrack especially for the time. I truly loved this game and still do but over everything else the music made this a great game. The tone used for the explosive ball was awesome too. The opening music is so epic when the king embarks on his journey to reclaim his crown. Adrenaline filled!
Dude this whole OST needs to be covered by a serious instrumental metal band, that won’t shy from electronic tones/accents and atmospheric passages between tracks. So epic and strident and cathartic, knowing this is the story of a man on a dark and disheartening journey. One that requires courage in the face of gutwrenching fear, strength although crippled with doubt, resolve to make it through challenging circumstances beyond absurd. Please!

Do you plan on putting the first Legendary Axe's soundtrack on TH-cam? I think its calm, jazzy sort of sound made it one of the best soundtracks on the PCE.

(by now the emperor is back and is regarded as a deity or demigod by 1/2 of japan's population)

10:18 - 12:57 track Wow, just wow. Listen to this and then try to tell me that the PCE/TG16 was not capable producing amazing music.
