Hey guys, we had the pleasure to adopt Remy beginning of January. He is Such a lovely great dog and loves our other rescue dog Lupo and our 4 cats!!! He has been truly a wonderful addition to our family : he has a very gentle personality, and we all love him to pieces !!!!!!!
He seems to be a Labrador mix. They are good natured, kind with children, very social with other dogs and funny as a breed and love to play even when they are old buddies.

And imo the back movements are characteristic for retrievers. The way they overly express their pure joy to meet or play with someone. I don't know another breed that shakes its doggy butt that way :D they do it that special way during playtime, too, shoving their back to the other dog to tackle him, not the front like most dogs. It's so typical and you certainly can make it out at the dog park especially everytime 2 of them (Retriever breeds) are playing together. How different it is looking from others. And this guy looks a lot like the chocolate Lab of our friends (ours is a black Lab). Well, I hope he's in a good and loving home now, but seems this way. I imagine that's a large part of why he reacted so well to humans too.. he had was in regular contact with someone providing him some level of care, so he was a tame, friendly dog.
Based on his behavior and how healthy he looked (considering he lived on the streets) I am sure there were kind people around who at least interacted with him/ fed him to some extent. He never looked like a broken down, depressed or sad dog.

Dimmie Merian I've said the same myself. If you're loaded you can take the cash straight to the source, thus cutting out all the middlemen and help out physically as well . A lot of people don't donate (especially abroad ), as you dont actually know if the charity get's any of it, which is so sad .

Me too! I have two dogs. A malshi and a pomshi. They're half brothers 5 yrs apart and I love them more then life itself! It's terrible to say but I can tolerate humans on the streets better then dogs. I wish I had the resources and room to save or adopt dozens and dozens of dogs. Idk how people can abuse them or just discard them. Makes me sick!

Yes the world is unfair alright. I just learned in my city there are a whole bunch of 18-year-old kids who were in foster care most of their lives now living on the streets because the government forces them to move out of their foster parents' homes when they turn 18. A lot of them have no money & live hand to mouth in groups of friends. It would be bad enough if you were a boy, but I can't imagine what life like that would for a 18-year-old girl.

Whether they're hunting, working, "service" dogs, or just plain companions, attitudes are quite different concerning dogs...ALL animals really. That's certainly not the case with everybody, because abuse does happen here. Just not a lot of it compared to other parts of the U.S. Anyway, it's hard for me to "wrap my brain around" how animals are treated in some of the other countries elsewhere on this Earth.

@@iotoo5984 Yea I know how you feel bro...as a kid me and my brother used to bring home a lot of stray pets we found like puppies and kittens...they used to be so skinny and alone so we couldn't just leave em there...we used to bring them home and give some food but my folks didn't allow me to keep them...I used to be heartbroken but I was glad I could help atleast a little..if you can't help them atleast find a shelter or inform those guys so they can come rescue the poor thing

You can see how intelligent he really is. They gave him a treat, then the other dog which he looked like he was aiming for, then gave him a treat again, and then when giving the other dog the 2nd treat, Remy waited patiently and shared. He understood sharing instantly. What a precious boy. He deserves the world and I hope he gets it one day.

Remi is: Not agressive towards food- Let's people pet him while he's having a nom Friendly but not overly energetic- He greeted people, but did not jump or try and climb on folks when they arrived Dog Friendly- He did not try to push for a space while getting a snacc. I was adopted from Bulgaria at a pretty young age, we’ve rescued a few pups in the past and I’m currently in search of a rescue of my own. I’d be interested in meeting Remy, I’m not sure if it’s the big innocent eyes or the ever-wagging tail but my heart broke for him and I’d love to give him a forever home. I wasn’t able to find him on your website and I’m hoping that it’s because he’s found a loving home but if not, from one Roma orphan to another my door is always wide open :)

I just learned in my city there are a whole bunch of 18-year-old kids who were in foster care most of their lives now living on the streets because the government forces them to move out of their foster parents' homes when they turn 18. A lot of them have no money & live hand to mouth in groups of friends. It would be bad enough if you were a boy, but I can't imagine what life like that would for a 18-year-old girl.

Whether they're hunting, working, "service" dogs, or just plain companions, attitudes are quite different concerning dogs...ALL animals really. That's certainly not the case with everybody, because abuse does happen here. Just not a lot of it compared to other parts of the U.S. Anyway, it's hard for me to "wrap my brain around" how animals are treated in some of the other countries elsewhere on this Earth.

They gave him a treat, then the other dog which he looked like he was aiming for, then gave him a treat again, and then when giving the other dog the 2nd treat, Remy waited patiently and shared. He understood sharing instantly. What a precious boy. He deserves the world and I hope he gets it one day.

Friendly but not overly energetic- He greeted people, but did not jump or try and climb on folks when they arrived

Agreed. One of the most lovable and well-behaved stray doggos EVER. The fact that no one wanted to adopt him made me 😢, but I am glad Howl of a Dog took him with them.

I was adopted from Bulgaria at a pretty young age, we’ve rescued a few pups in the past and I’m currently in search of a rescue of my own. I’d be interested in meeting Remy, I’m not sure if it’s the big innocent eyes or the ever-wagging tail but my heart broke for him and I’d love to give him a forever home. I wasn’t able to find him on your website and I’m hoping that it’s because he’s found a loving home but if not, from one Roma orphan to another my door is always wide open :)

I hope that he found a good home. He deserves one. He didn’t ask to be placed here on earth. I would have more than happy to take him but I live in Missouri and I wouldn’t have a way to get him here. He deserves the best.
