In March 25th of 2021 my dad went to the ICU due to COVID outbreak and we had to endure more than 60 days without seeing him, he was intubated for a whole 40 days. During that time, his liver, his lungs, his kidneys, even his brain stopped working properly, he had no medical perspective on getting better. I myself was the responsible member of the family in exchanging phone calls with the responsible medical team, my family went apart, specially my mother. I stood my ground because I knew everything was happening the way it was suposed to. Due to my mother's severe anxiety and depression, me and my brother had the idea to get her a golden retriever, and for sure we did. Then, 4 years later, I have a beautiful golden retriever named Hope, because for sure she was a light of hope and joy so bright, so powerful, that my dad made it alive. I was crying this whole music video and didnt know why, then I read your comment and realized that I was encapsulated by the narrative, I was seeing myself wandering around our imaginary world with her and your comment brought everything that I just at once. Thank you. Dont ever be afraid of having hope. And dont forget to play with your golden retriever every day!!
As someone who still feels like a kid even in my 30s, and is about to have my first kid, this album and this song/video combo are going to do a serious number on me. Beautiful stuff.

Somehow I can’t explain it exactly but this song especially touches something in me. I’m not spiritual or religious but something feels like an open wound is closing/healing.
