This is so so good. Reminds me of days past, early morning, yet also brings me right to the present and hopes for a future that supercedes anything I've ever known.
I'm going to explain what this song (paired with the title) means to me, as a woman. I'll be breaking this into several comments so that it's easier to read. 👍The song starts off with a calm, almost somber tone til about the 2 minute mark. This reminds of how a lot of the time/in the past women are/were expected to be quiet and just be passive. On the other side of the coin, it reminds me of a mother's soft love to a small child. Once we hit the 3 minute mark, the tone shifts into a more powerful/upbeat and "warm" feeling. I'm not sure how to describe that-but it's like coming out of winter and hitting spring head on. It sounds full of youth and strength, like generations of women from the 70s to now taking power and gaining a stronger voice than our counterparts of the past did.
At the 5 minute mark, the tone starts to calm down. It's soft, but still has a powerful resonance in it. It also sounds like a voice/voices is/are speaking, before at about 6:17 the music picks up again. It feels like a representation of women of the past seeing how far we've come and being excited-as well as mothers of now speaking to and guiding their kids/grandkids into the future.
At about 6:50-7:13, the musical tone shifts higher, almost like a soaring of a bird. I imagine a "passing of the torch" if you will, from mothers/grandmothers of the 60s-80s and even 90s to the younger generations of today, most notably being the early 2000s (my gen) since we are now becoming/have become adults. We've hit the ground running, so to speak-from the help of the people before us. We're full of life and force, and are continuing to bring our mothers and grandmothers and so forth with us as we all collectively continue to grow and evolve in the world.
Thats nice and all, im sure there are alot of good women who truly want equality... but some dislike men, yea thats not equality... I go on shopping event trips every night with hubby (In Second Life).. most of the stuff is for women and its very annoying, not very equal at all... there is a point I hope where race and gender should just shut the hell up and truly be equal and not talk about it anymore..... People are people, end of story.. I dislike pride... its selfish.. Unelss its gay pride, homophobes can shove it..
At about the 9:20 mark, the music shifts. It's now coming to an end, but it still has energy to it. This represents my generation passing the torch on to the next generation of kids/adults-but standing by their side in power and love. The main beat sounds like a heartbeat, and it continues until 10:20, when the song comes to a close. Final thoughts: this song is really cool! I love the beats and tonal shifts throughout-like cycles-sounding the same but always different. I'm honestly amazed you got me to think so deeply about a song, as I haven't done this since highschool😂 Thank you for sharing, Lane8! Can't wait to hear what you have in the future❤
