    Disciple beats motivation. Everyone is excited the first few days/weeks. And when that runs out you need discipline to keep moving, even when you don’t want to. When it’s cold, when you’re tired, when you’re hungry … no excuses!

    I like that you say go out and follow someone on Instagram or some influencer to get motivation or recipes, it seems maybe you don’t realize that’s exactly what you’re doing for people , me included. Love the videos so far , I haven’t stopped talking about your channel and videos since I stumbled upon them a short time ago. Giving me motivation to think about the food I’ve been eating. Enjoyed your video and really appreciate your transparency. Low-carb videos by guys usually don't appeal to me. Usually, way too much ego. But you're real life, down to earth, and not having to use foul language every other word, personally was refreshing. I've been on low-carb (this time) since this past July. I am down 68 lbs. and have 40 lbs. left to lose. I have lost and gained weight all my life (68 years old). Low-carb has always worked for me. I just need to work out an actual maintenance plan this time. I really want this time to be different and keep it off. I look forward to your videos. Keep up the good work and for getting your message out there. 👍

I'm right there with you, l have lost and gained several times, however, this was the first time I ever tried low carb, and in my opinion, it has been a game changer for me. I would also agree the maintenance phase is very tricky for sure. I will also be making videos of all of the low carb recipe's I have created; my lasagna is Bomb!! Great work on getting back on track, Age is only a number, keep up the great work and wishing the best of luck in 2025!!😎👊

    Love the message . You should do a video on the importance of buy in from family. I know I couldn't lose all the weight with a family trying to make it more difficult with unhealthy meals and then attempting to keep you away from the gym either out of jealousy or spite.

      That is a great topic and I will do a video on this, however, in my case there was NO buy in from my family on the diet part... I had to build discipline to stick to my diet while having everything that I could not or should not eat in the house staring at me everyday!

    I haven’t noticed if you have mentioned your height? I believe you’ve said you dropped to 185lbs. I’ve been on a health/ weight loss journey for a while. Lost 45 lbs in 2022 just changing my breakfast. In March of 2024 started changing my diet and working out, down another 80 lbs but plateauing at about 215 to 220lbs, I’m 6’1” by the way. Did you manage how many grams of protein you took in daily? My calorie intake could be lower but I’m trying to keep protein up to prevent muscle loss. Can you tell if you lost any muscle with only 2 meals a day like you did?

    • @milehighfatguy
      @milehighfatguy  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      I’m 6’ My lowest weight was 185, but I’m hovering around 200 right now. I felt best at about 195. But I’m trying to weight train right now so I’m not sure how that will look when I cut down again. I don’t know officially if I lost muscle but I would guess yes as I can’t lift as much as I could when I first started. So I am still working on figuring out where you’re at myself. Because I’m doing low carb I do get in a lot of protein, but I think in my case I need to lean it out and eat less fat to drop weight. But I will make some videos talking about how the weight training is going. However I don’t think in my case two meals a day had an effect on that one way or the other, part of it is that I do so much cardio their could have been done muscle loss from that. There is a guy that I follow that eats once a day and he is jacked so I’m not sure if the amount of times you eat during the day matters as long as your getting enough protein.

      @@youngmegamusic2512 Thank you, glad you have found some value in my videos. Great question and I will do a video about it. Truth is I didn’t, I have some loose skin but it’s not too bad and seems to be in the right places that it is not that noticeable. Call it snake oil if you want but I did use a moisturizer lotion on my skin, supplemented with collagen protein and ate avocados (mainly Guacamole) throughout my weight loss, some say that can help with skin elasticity… but some say that it doesn’t, so take that for what’s worth… my opinion was, what can it hurt, all those things are good for you anyway.

      I have had to lose weight 4 different times in my life, hands down a low carb diet has been a game changer for me this time.
