DuckTales Remastered Walkthrough Part 2 - The Amazon - The Search for the Incan King's Sceptre

- Walkthrough of DuckTales Remastered played on the Nintendo Wii U. This video shows the first selectable stage called 'The Amazon'. In this stage we set off to find the Incan King's Sceptre which is said to be locked away in a giant temple in the clouds. In order to find this temple we need to find the 8 different Incan coins and insert them into a stone.
I always enjoyed DuckTales on the NES as a kid and couldn't get enough of the TV series so I am quite excited to play this version of the game. The original DuckTales on the NES had some of my favorite video game music tracks in it.

The greatest feature of this game is not that this is just a remake, but the fact that Scrooge is voiced by Alan Young, the original voice actor.
Rest in peace, Alan Young. (1919-2016)
That makes it better. Though, I feel that the cutscenes make the game sluggish at times.
I like the fact that the game is more punishing than most modern games. The NES games were notoriously difficult, but they were also very rewarding.
It really depends on how much you like DuckTales I think. If you enjoyed the cartoon and the original game and like this style of platformer I think it's worth it. Personally I hadn't played the original since I was a kid and thought the game was great, but I can see how people that didn't grow up this game/show could not enjoy it. The game is artificially lengthened by having some cutscenes (I enjoyed them) and also the game kind of forces you to fully explore each level to beat it.

Mani just read some of the reviews on this game. A lot of reviews were 7 to 8 stars and such but they also seemed to diss the game alot too. These reviewers do not know what hey are talking about. this game is awesome

I recently got to play this game as I got it while it was on sale on the Wii u eshop and my god it’s beautiful it’s one of those few games I’ve played where I actually felt happy and was having a blast the whole time
I haven’t had that feeling with any game in a long time
And don’t even get me started on the soundtrack it’s so good and I love to listen to it
This was one beautiful game I highly recommend to anyone who likes 2D platformers

I always hated those damn spiders.
The plants always used to piss me off
its annoying that the enemies are inifinite and always spawning
the spiders are easy to tackle
At some point you find out that you can pogo stick jump on spikes/thorny paths.
For spiders you just get near them and jump on the spot where they react to you, then when you jump, they go down at the same time so you time your jumps to hit on top of them as they go down.
The most annoying are just ones that keep walking or flying towards u.

Something feels a little off about watching a trailer for Matt Damon's Elysium before viewing a 2D adventure about a notoriously wealthy Duck played by a class actor in his 90's. Good game though :P

Not entirely. Hal Smith (Glomgold/Gyro) and Hamilton Camp (Gizmoduck) are dead (Brian George and Eric Bauza do their voices in the game) and Joan Gerber (Mrs. Beakely) is retired from voice acting (Wendee Lee does her voice in the game).
That's true all the treasure hunters they have to discover uncharted lands and the lost cities and village maybe rear treasure maybe scrooge McDuck find lots of money 🤑💰.

Yes you can skip the cutscenes but you have to activate the pause menu for it EVERY TIME!
