Students don't want to learn in a school more fit to be a bunker then a school. A school equipped with armed guards roaming around? How is that supposed to make you feel more secured!?
What people want is the cause of this shootings gone or at least greatly diminished. Everyone assumes that this means that people who want that want guns to be banned, that's not what most people mean.
What they want is to make it harder for children, the mentally impaired, and known criminals to get their hands on a gun in the first place which means more restrictions, a crackdown on the illegal gun trade in the United States, and a comprehensive background check.
