    I think you have found your TH-cam niche here... Tracing the Black heritage towards the Americas.
    As an Argentinean expatriate I loved the series.
    So many little details about my own culture that now I understand much more with all this context.
    I want more! Go to hunt for more content like this in Paraguay and the South of Brazil. There the afros of the colonial times suffered a similar fate if not worst.
    Great job!

    Gracias Ace. Por visibilizar la cultura afro en Argentina y en realidad las costumbres de otras comunidades y razas que se mezclaron. Y dar espacio a los "olvidados" del norte. Y tenés razón, el monte se parece mucho a los paisajes de parte de África.

    No one that I've watched of the TH-cam travel vloggers, come close to the narrative quality and details as ACE, the exception being Mark Weins food vlogs, Ace exceeds him in the area of cultural content. Ace's party stuff is mediocre, but his cultural societal subjects excell all. That's Aces gift.

    Who denies that there was slavery in Argentina? What people deny is that the country should be labeled as racist for policies from the early 19th century. And even back then, since the start of the independence movement there was a push to abolish slavery that became effective 1853, years before your own country did it and without the need for any kind of civil war like in the USA's case.

    I visited Rosario, Argentina for a friend’s wedding and stayed with the bride’s friend! The bride & groom are Haitian, and I’m a black African American-it was a very wonderful experience of a lifetime I’ll never forget! Even as we ode public transportation one day, a lady asked if I was an opera singer visiting. What an honor to be viewed in that way and not prejudiced or an injustice. I didn’t experience any racism problems in the time I was there. I agree every country has its issues, but it won’t last long bc a definite change is coming❣️

    • @newnewyorkcity7180
      @newnewyorkcity7180 ปีที่แล้ว

      What is an African American? Are you an immigrant from Africa that moved to America or are you a Foundational Black American?

    • @agme8045
      @agme8045 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      for some reason everyone thinks Argentina is super racist, and sure we have our issues, but we are far from being that terrible of a country. Everyone is super open minded and just like you said, people usually connect African Americans with ‘good stereotypes’, like for example that they have great singing voices, and they think of Aretha Franklin, Serena and Venus Williams, Obama, Will Smith, and the likes. I know stereotypes in general are bad, yet stereotypes are prone to exist when there’s not a lot of knowledge and contact with different groups of people. That’s the thing with Argentina. Most people here only ‘know’ about black people through the lenses of USA media

I love the food culture and preparation, the crashing equipment that's exactly like ours, except the cheese 🧀 making preparations but instead we turn milk into fermented sour milk & we enjoy it with stiff porridge from maize meal flour.
