I have always loved this song but this version is incredible, such a beautiful collaboration. All of their voices compliment one another so well it gave me chills...and to hear Jonathan sing it so beautifully is not at all surprising. That man's talent is like no other and every time I see and hear him sing I can feel his emotion, his anguish, as if it were my own. I have always loved music but I have never been captivated and enthralled by one artist. I have never cared to meet a musician either, I have always just appreciated the music for what is was and how it made me feel, but Jonathan is someone I need to see in person. The way he bares his soul with every song and every word he sings, I feel like I know him, like I need to know him...however crazy that sounds and, believe me, I know how crazy that sounds.
This performance is literally a gift to all the fans and I thank you for it.

My dad passed away around two weeks ago... Just before he went to the hospital and went on a ventilator he told me this was his favorite song. Nothing thus far has made me cry so quickly, this is a truly beautiful song and it resonates with my thoughts and feelings going through this loss

Wow, this was one take in rehearsal?! Amazing. "One" started as a man-woman dialogue song (IMHO) when Achtung Baby came out, then over the years seems to have gained the veneers applied by Bono and others to become humanity's mantra. But at its heart where you all brought it back to, "One" is still about that first relationship...mom and dad, lover to lover. Knowing what we do now from your book, every utterance, glance heavenward, and pause from you imparts deeper meaning and understanding to these familiar words. Jonathan is incomparable - he sounds like himself, uniquely soulful and raw. Kim of course blows you both out of the water - in the best possible way! And all the others involved especially Dorian make this truly yours in a way only a few covers transcend their originals. Thank you for generously sharing this with us, it is especially meaningful for those of us who could not make the journey to Ft. McMurray last weekend. They are both set free now, released of the burdens of pain and human frailty above the trees. May you walk the earth knowing in your sorrow that they are again whole and in heaven's light. Xoxox KKT
