I'm glad I found your video. I'm heading out there for King Tide in a couple of weeks from now. I'm excited. Never photographed a king tide before.

I got a lot out of your process. Headed down to it tomorrow. Looking at 35 foot waves, might be standing at the other side of the parking lot, unless they just close the area all together. Won't know until I try.

@@JamesParkerPhotography Turned out to be constant storms so the lighting was dark gray on dark gray. Also the wind was recorded at 74 mph. Thought it was to dangerous, Decided against it.

When you panned around to show the crowd at the beginning of the video, one of the first people I recognized was Moose Peterson. :) I enjoyed the video.

James - when I was leaving that day I stopped and talked with Nick Page, Adam Gibbs, Gavin Hardcastle, and Thomas Heaton. They were starting their F4 Road Trip. Lots of great photographers there that morning!

King Tide is December 3-5, 2021 but the swell/wave forecast is dismally small. You need more than just a King Tide to get those epic sized waves - check out my video from last month's King Tide at Shore Acres State Park. th-cam.com/video/Jreoed4D8AI/w-d-xo.html

The King Tide alone is not what causes the big waves, you need a storm at sea to cause the large waves, the King Tides just help to amplify the large waves caused by the offshore storms. I was there that day in that crowd, years ago I would be one of the only few. Postings on social media is what has made it so popular and one WA photographer in particular who posted a fantastic image a few years ago . Thanks for the video. Oh...looks like Moose Peterson behind you. I did see him there but not sure if that was the day.
