Jack Hawkins, originally from the south coast city of Portsmouth, died in 2015. Very popular throughout the country particularly during the 1960s & 70s.
Jack Hawkins was Scottish and moved to the South for work. My Dad was the trombonist in this band for years. They were amazing, I had the honour of them playing at my wedding reception in 1986....happy times.
Ace Willie Mitchell Cover-This Version is more Uptempo than the Original Version=Music from the Nite Club Scene in Newcastle in the 1971 Get Carter Film, I Bought this LP for this Track.
This sounds incredible! ❤
Brilliant, thanks Rod :)

You're right - and there's no guitar solo in the film. The whooping and "hey"! don't appear either.
Absolute Quality
Wonderful assembled cut from the film, with superimposed exactly this music. My favorite book, my favorite movie.
