Tim, thank you for bringing unbelievable passionate collectors. Emil is definitely a collector who enjoys the history and story behind the timepieces. Love it!
This is what makes a real collector (not investor): expertise, a personal relationship with his watches, knowledge of history and passion. Here at the highest level. Thank you, Emil, for giving us this insight.
Emil is one of the kindest souls whom is extremely knowledgable and passionate about collecting. He loves to share his passion with others and he is one of the best guys out there. Wonderful video!
Clearly one of your best videos to date! Looking forward to the second part. True collector with one of the best horologist minds in the game! Great stuff Tim, your a machine.
His collection was unbelievable. We had to cut this interview into two segments because the total run time was over an hour and we couldn't bear to discard any of the discussion; it was that good. Best, Tim
BUT, I learn something I didn't know each and every day. I'm a student of watchmaking and history, and that can be humbling experience even for the most knowledgeable. Best, Tim
Fascinating collection and discussion! The 6241 simply is amazing. More of these substantive discussions with collectors please. Thanks, Tim. No one does it better!
Thanks for watching! I try to bring my perspective and knowledge to each of these features while letting my guest dictate the narrative and flow. Best, Tim
I love this series. Fantastic collection & a great collector. Keep these interesting interviews/collections coming. Love the stories behind the collection. Well done Tim.
Incredible story on the Longines watch. Does anyone have any suggestions on further reading on different watches, specifically on their heritage (Breitling, Longines, Moser etc)?
And all of it was meticulously researched firsthand by Emil himself. I can't say I've ever met a collector who spent more personal time documenting the history and scarcity of his vintage watches. Best, Tim
Amazing provenance of rare and unusual timepieces. A wonderful horological journey waltzing across history. The best reason for adhering to the mantra condition, condition, condition!
I had one 1665 patent pending once, they send some to the Brazilian oil company Petrobras in late 60’s for the divers test it, I regret a lot selling it in late 90’s
Emil was fantastic. I hope to record a follow-up segment with him when I return to LA. His collection simply exceeded the scope of these video features. Best, Tim
Unfortunately, this recording space hasn't been soundproofed yet. My conversation with Emil had to coexist with daytime client hours in the adjacent WB store. Best, Tim
Watch collecting does not necessarily mean passion for engineering. Passion for watches does not mean passion for engineering, otherwise I’d be at all interested in any number of other engineering feats like cars, industrial machines or what have you.
great collection but you really didnt do his sea dweller justice. How can you talk about the "patent pending" on the watch so many times and not give a close up of any of it? The caseback, the bracelet, the clasp, the diving extension? None of it. Instead we just get more macro shots of the dial. C'mon Tim's hands on videos are better than that
Emil is one of the most passionate collectors I have the pleasure of knowing. Great to see his collection in the spotlight.
Thanks so much for visiting us during our LA swing. It was great to catch up. All the best on your new watch and upcoming deliveries.
Best,
Tim

Great "talking watches" episode...respect to the collector, pure class and true watch enthusiast. Tim is a great host...thank you.
Fantastic interview. Guy loves his history. Vintage is such a different world.

Looking forward to the second part!
Just watched this on my TV with a glass of wine... perfect for a rainy day here in Washington DC. Great interview!. Keep them coming Tim. Cheers!

“You know your watches”. Tim could start the watch sommelier program. That was an understatement!
BUT, I learn something I didn't know each and every day. I'm a student of watchmaking and history, and that can be humbling experience even for the most knowledgeable.

This is my favorite format of Tim's videos! Jewel of the internet
Brilliant show, thank all involved.

Amazing interview!
TIM, WHERE DID U GET THAT STRAP? I need that.
Random Question: What watch is Tim wearing?
loving the vibrant green color of the watch you wearing tim
Great video! Inlay has been swapped out on that 1665 as well I’d say…
Great interview!
The condition of those watches is insane for the period they are from. Skilled collector.
This is a true passionate collector with an amazing collection!! Great Interview by both
Fascinating!
Show us the watches !!
Great stuff
great video
Thank you for this kind feedback!
Best,
Tim
Great video. Where ever they did this had a real loud mouth in the background.

Cheers to Emil from one Soviet to another.

In Russia such type of watch like you show first call cavalery watch.

Tim needs to pause and take a breath when he talks. It's exhausting listening to him.
For a true watch guy, Tim has rather bad taste in them 😢
this green monster betwenn these vintage watches is irritating me:)
