Thank you so much Marko, this was so much fun to make, the location was amazing and so cool. It was wonderful seeing you in my hometown. I hope we will have something new for another video early 2023. Working hard here...
That salmon dial Doxa got it all, the type of find you keep for life 😍 if aging was always that perfect all the ladies couldn't wait to be 70! You have undeniable good taste Sir...
Boris is one of the coolest and most authentic collectors in the industry! Well done Boris and lovely creations with Grossmann and of course an incredible collection!❤️
What an incredible down to earth fellow and a wealth of knowledge. Great interview and showcase of what I can assume is the tip of the iceberg with his collection. So much to love here. Great job by both of you!!
Thanks Marko, for bring us this most interesting and relatable collection I think I have ever seen and I'm not that young. These are all foundation pieces that have been collected for all the best reasons. Thanks for being a champion of us watch collectors. Marko, i just contacted Boris regarding his watch issues with possible remedy. Cheers Peter...
How did I miss this? This is maybe one of the best video I’ve seen. TH-cam can be a wonderful thing. You can see a man, his personality, his passion and it matches his collection perfectly. Thank you for showing us this.
Such a great video. Boris just loves talking about his watches and his enthusiasm is so contagious. He is the kinda collector I aspire to be. Thanks for this video!
A lovely collection. I only have a very slight knowledge of watches but the Parmegiani particularly stood out for me and many viewers. Perhaps it's the power of the Golden ratio.
Definitely a high value collection, not just talking about money... Beautifully preserved Enicar and Yema are still findable if you look carefully, I'm mentioning Yema because they used to make bigger size too, and they're still pretty cheap.
I’m only a few watches into this collection and it’s already one of the best, most grounded (to my taste) collections I’ve seen yet - and I’ve looked at a few, to be modest. EXCELLENT content SWG! This is why I keep coming to your channel.
What can I say? This dude has impeccable tastes, even his spectacles matches his shirt. Love these pieces, particularly the Doxa. Would love to have seen more of that skeleton piece near the start that looked a bit like a Breguet tradition
Love this collection. Right up my street. Particularly love the enicar as I am an enicar collector. Big fan of breguet too. That watch is amazing, and would love to own.
Amazing guy and great collection. Thanks for the video Marko and thanks for sharing your collection with us, Boris. Fun fact: Alexander Pushkin, one of the greatest Russian poets in his famous poem Eugene Onegin had his main character wear a Breguet. This was in 1829!
Very interesting take on why which genration buys a watch or more often. I find myself admiring pieces that are well rounded, you know 100% feeling right. for exaple: VC 1921, Oris Aqus date at 6 all black, cartier tank and santos.
Hello Boris, very nice collection, I am very envious! If you want to preserve your vintage watches, you can place them in a watch box and use 1 packet of silica gel for each watch or there is a company called watch case farm that make plastic cases that I think have an air release valve. I like the idea of the plastic cases but it kills me to put my classic watches in a plastic case. It may be the best idea. What ever you do, do not place your watches in plastic sealed bags because plastic chemicals can react with the watch. By the way, love your videos on Dornbluth, I hope to get a Q2010 some day. stay well and all the best to you.
the Parmigiani is imo the best ... but go for the Ionica ! the movement in that watch is among the best ever and beats similar Vacheron, Patek, Breguet etc made around the same time
DEAR MARCO AND BORIS, GOD BLESS YOU MY FRIENDS. I AM VERY PROUD OF YOU AND VERY HAPPY FOR YOU. I HOPE ALL OF YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE. I HOPE YOU HAD THE BEST AND HAPPIEST CHRISTMAS OF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE AND THE BEST AND HAPPIEST 4TH OF JULY OF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. 🙏 SINCERELY PETER

Boris is a great guy. Great collector, horologist, and independent watchmaker supporter. Love the watches, straps and stories on them

Definately the power of the golden ratio. But also the dial has an amazing beauty.
What an absolutely mouthwatering collection. I immediately looked Enicar and Vulcain up... very desirable.
Definitely a high value collection, not just talking about money...
Beautifully preserved Enicar and Yema are still findable if you look carefully, I'm mentioning Yema because they used to make bigger size too, and they're still pretty cheap.

Most of those were extreme in design, hadn’t heard of any of the makes, certainly an eye opener, and good luck with your collection.
Loved this collection.

Breguet plays such an important part in the history of horology and they make wonderful timepieces.
That parmigiani is stunning
Thank you
The Enicar, Doxa, GP and Zenith are stunning watches…wow! Boris seems fascinating and would be great to chat with. Gruß aus California.
Thank you for your cool comment. These pieces are my faves as well.

Love his collection, and his artwork. And I need to start every day woken up by a Vulcain Cricket!
LOL... funny, yes. The Vulcain cant be ignored when it rings...
Great interview and collection. I am intending to add a piece of vintage and watching this video has given me some ideas.

You have to keep the watches in a place where you can control the humidity and especially the light. Also air proof might help.
Create a humidor...LOL

A very nice and personal collection! The Moritz Grossmann and Parmigiani watches are great!
Thank you, Christopher.
I like his glasses.
Thanks, I heard this a lot after the video... ;)

fascinating indeed
Chamber vacuum sealer will protect the watch from air and moisture indefinitely
You can also set the vacuum pressure if the watch isn't in a case.
Love that doxa.
The movement of the Girrard Perregaux is a Valjoux 23
Martel 146 Movement is the same as a 156, the only difference is the diameter
Martel 122 is 12 lines (Was also used as Universal Geneve 281)
Martel 136 is 13 lines (Was also used as Universal Geneve 283)
Martel 146 is 14 lines (Was also used as Universal Geneve 285)
Martel 156 is 15 lines (Was also used as Universal Geneve 287)
Martel 166 is 16 lines (Was also used as Universal Geneve 339)
This Movements were used by Zenith/Universal Geneve/Jäger Le Coultre/Girrard Perregaux
Only the 146 was used by Movado/Zenith after the bought Martel out from Universal Geneve in 1966
Just for your info
Lots of storrys could be mentioned about this topic....
Thank you, this is great information, appreciate it.
The CITIZEN logo almost looks so similar to HAMILTON.... Awesome watches especially DOXA.
Thank you.
If Dr. Emmett Brown loved watches and art and I would bet he would make room for all his watches in the Delorean
10:13 - what a watch..

Tired of the same old
@@russellseah2347 I intentionally did not show any Rolex. I wanted to show another side of watchmaking which most people are not aware of.
