i really want to learn to sing these songs for I have always loved Cathal's phrasing.; he sings with such ease. I met him on my thirty first birthday on the 31st July at a festival in County Donegal. The man is brilliant, I am just reading Sinead O'Conner's book "Rememberings" and she talks about that Bel Canto singing with ease. Cathal is that pure essence of that .Thank you so much for honoring this great singer.
thanks a million for uploading, real gem from the past, unfindable, used to listen to the record in the UCC listening lab instead of studying English Lit :)

A 'solo' album in the true sense - nothing but himself and the occasional bit of bodhran or guitar! Thanks for uploading, I've had McConnell's other solo album for a long time but never the chance to hear this. One of the greats, and probably the only Irish musician of modern times who is a good traditional singer as well as a top-class instrumentalist.
