    I’m glad you posted this. I wrestled with these brakes for three days. My main hang up was the brake mounts because the ones on my Framed Judgement were a smidge too big. I ended up sanding them down and finally getting them to fit. It was the first time I’ve put all new brakes on any bike so it was a learning experience. Thank you for posting up such good tutorials. I probably watched this video 35 times lol

    Oh my god thank you for making this video bro. I could not find a single video on Mafiabikes brake jobs. At least not ones that look like my kush 2. Your bike has the same type of brake setup and frame though. I was wanting to put this same rear brake on my bike but wasn’t sure where to start. Still pretty new to this whole working on bikes thing. But I’m trying ! 😂

But yeah I’ve had the same reaction at pretty much every mafia part I’ve worked on so far besides …… idk 🤷 😂 I dropped my bike the other day and the brake bent barely I dropped it from hip height and it broke the tension spring or whatever holds tension so careful of that! Thanks man! Been a while. Never mounted fully from a brakeless frame. Made it much easier on me. Running Springfields on a Sunday EX frame build. Not sure the year of the frame but Source sent me 3 different brake mount kits after getting the brakes through them. They finally sent me a link to Stolenbikes, a Type-D mount kit. Stolen sent me a note saying I’d have to sand the mounts down a tad to fit Odyssey brakes, 😅 well I made it here. Finally at the end. We’ll see how she goes after this.

      I digress. I don’t understand the issue with these brakes. Before even hooking up the cable, pushing the brake arms in by hand I cannot get both pads to touch the rim before they start to bind-up together near the spring. I thought with the newer removable type brake setup I’d be able to swap back and forth depending on the park/street/trails. God I’m frustrated.

    On the last part, close to the frame means close to the seat tube. I followed his directions and cut my brake cable too short and now I have to buy a new brake cable. Don't cut your brake cable before you measure it together with the straddle cable so that it reaches your brake caliper .

      @aurteekay6339 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well that’s pretty self explanatory if you have ever looked at your bike brakes and payed attention to how they work. Obviously you use the second cable to go into the straddle and under the original brake cable that goes to the handle and then use both of those top hats at the end of the other short double sided cable to connect them, you’ll have to keep your brake cable pulled out constantly or this will happen as well you won’t realize it moved forward and will cut it too small

    Great video! The information is very close to what I am looking for, but it wasn't an exact match for my situation.
    I have a question about a 2008 Haro F2 frame and the brake posts on that frame.
    There are small holes in the frame (near to each of the brake mount posts). The holes look like they are for a set screw to hold the brake mount posts in place, but I have tried various sizes of hex wrenches and couldn't engage to loosen any (possible) set screw.
    Can anyone point me to information on this style of brake mount posts? Are they removable? If so, how? Are there any videos anyone could recommend to help me understand the issue?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated (from the author of the video, or anyone else reading this). Thanks!

If that works you can kink the straddle cable a little so it doesn't slide back to the old position. If that doesnt work, try removing the arm and cleaning or sanding the post. Hope this helps
