Same, I wanted so much to have like an elaborate and decorated journal, and I likewise got burnt out. As a compromise, I only did simple designs for monthly pages but god xD
Same here! I was looking at some of my old journals last night and realized how they helped me sort out what was going on inside and how I coped with it, but I stopped because mine didn't look as pretty as some of the ones that I saw on Pinterest and on TH-cam. I'm going to start doing it again this year! Thanks Yin for all of your tips and tricks, and assuring people like me that it doesn't have to be cute or witty looking. 💜💜💜
my adhd ass picked this up in 2018 and utterly failed at it, as soon as my obsession with it passed I just forgot about it. But then I came back to it and instead of adding all those habit trackers, water trackers, what not, I started with barely anything and stuck with it if it worked and ditched it if it didn't. And then slowly added whatever I needed. And today, i'm proud that I regularly keep and maintain a (very tattered and falling apart) bujo 😤😤

Bullet journalling is supposed to be tailored for YOUR needs and to help you be less of a mess (hi, that's me, I'm a mess, lol), and I feel like a lot of people kind of forget that in favour of putting the aesthetic aspect as the most important and thus either being intimidated as you stated you were, or giving up after a bit. I personally am a very visual person, so for my Bullet journal I do like having an aesthetic aspect, but I don't want to pass hours just drawing and painting and colouring, so, an easy way to get the pretty aspects: stickers, washi tape and printing/gluing a lot of stuff. It also goes into the functional aspect too, since I print spreads that I use every month, like my 'working log', where I see which days I worked on what (was it planning? Was it researching/brainstorming? Was it outlining/writing/working on whatever project?) and how it went with dot stickers of certain colours for how it went (red is bad, purple is outstanding). A bujo can be whatever you need it to be. If the current system you have does not serve you anymore, you can just change it, experiment and make it better for YOU. Thanks for attending my TEDtalk lol.
Lmao I remember trying to start a journal it went okay for a few days and then I just kinda forgot about it because I’m so unorganised and I get overwhelmed easily and I just ended up writing on a sticky notes lol
I do something similar, except my sticky notes have the more urgent stuff on it like exam dates and assignment deadlines 😂 not sure if this is helpful to you, but what I did was put the sticky note onto a fresh page/on the page that is somewhat relevant to the stuff on the sticky note. It gives the book itself a nice pop of colour! Sometimes I even add comments to the side of the sticky note~
I thought many times of starting a bullet journal but all the design and styling looked super daunting - it's comforting to seeing one with a more grounded design. That being said, I'm so bad at keeping tabs and being mindful that I feel it will end up turning into a to-do list a possible doodle notebook
I started 5 years ago though I took a 6 month break at one point. I ended up supergluing 5 extra large moleskine dot grids together and at the end of this year I’ll be out of room (and out of control size wise) so I’ll start volume 2. What’s interesting for me is seeing how it’s changed from beginning to now, how I’ve brought some elements back and completely dropped others. While the actual tracking and monthly spreads have been mostly the same (though some of what I’ve tracked has changed), the decorative elements have changed. And because it’s a creative outlet as well as a calendar/to do tool for me I enjoy the decorating and theme creating aspects. The first book was almost exclusively sketch/drawing intensive. Then I went through a washi decorative phase, now it’s a mix of sketching and ephemera. I kept a covid lockdown journal in it, and also always keep lists of what books I read each year, which films, documentaries, operas or concerts I’ve seen or attended, etc. My favourite bit, however, is that my daughter likes the drawings and decorative elements so much she’s vowed to save it forever, so it will become a part of our family history which I think is pretty cool. I absolutely believe everyone should obviously do what works for them and more simple journals can be more helpful or better suited to others who don’t need or want a combined ‘life book’ style. So yay for whatever way people choose to do (or not!) Thanks for the video!!!
I love using a pencil to help me outline my journal before i put it in pen. It makes it easier to change the layout if i feel that its not working for me. I still keep it simple but it helps to take the stress off of messing up if you happen to be a perfectionist type person
I think the reflection section is really cool, and it’s something I wanna try and incorporate into my glorified to-do list lol. Still figuring out how I wanna set that up, but I hope I will at least get around to doing one in the coming year!
I hope it works out well for you!! After reading your other reply about sticky notes I'm also considering just writing thoughts down on sticky notes as they come to me and using those as a reflection device too haha
This inspired me to try bullet journaling in 2022! I'm definitely SUPER lazy and lax about it but I am liking how much more aware its making me about my habits and choices.
for me, having an decorated bujo really inspires me to keep to it and keep organized. last year tho I was doing most of the decorating w illustrations and complicated spreads that I didn’t need, and so this year I figured out that slapping some pretty paper and stickers was a lot easier for me then drawing. I also try to do the whole months pages in 1-2 days where I’m feeling good
no because when i was learning the french numbers that was ALL I COULD THINK ABOUT 💀- also ty for this- i always feel like i need to make my journal detailed and then i’ll do one pretty page and then not touch it for months 😭
That's why I use refillable journals. I have one blank filler for diary and a dotted filler for bullet journal. They are together in the same notebook case (a leather one). I love writing my life events, but I also love tracking my progress on something I am working on. And I know for a fact that I won't be able to finish a whole book dedicated only for bullet journaling. So I use filler dotted notebook coz' it doesn't overwhelm me. An alternative is a journal notebook which is already a combination of a diary, planner and organizer. There are so many affordable ones out there. I used that last year and used 95% of the pages. I was sooo satisfied at the end of the year. Haha.
@@NeutrinodiMajorana Go ahead! If you are referring to the refillable journals, you have more freedom whether to go for either simplistic or artful designs. It depends on you. Now, for the journal notebook that contains blank, dotted and, sometimes, monthly planner, there are some which already have colorful pages or pages with designs. But of course there are also notebooks that contain clean pages if you prefer simplicity. Also, with notebooks/journals that contain different type of pages and sometimes with monthly planners, it's like doing different type of journaling using just a single journal. With this, you have a choice as to what type of content you want to write. For example, If I don't feel like writing in my diary (blank pages), I can do bullet journaling (dotted and/or square pages), or just update my monthly planner. It makes me feel accomplished since it enables me to consistently have a journal entry. Good luck!
Hi Ying! I discovered bullet journaling through this video a bit more than 2 years ago, it motivated me to start my own and I'm so grateful. Your simple approach and advice to customise the journal was exactly what I needed. Since then, I've found a way to do my journal that really suits me and watching this video now made me realise how inspired I was by your self-reflection process. It helps me a lot to this day so, thank you so much!
not to be weird but i found you recently and every video i'm once again shocked how much alike we are?? i feel like this would help a lot with my ADHD, though i tend to get anxious when making to-do lists, cause seeing everything i need to do in front of me at once is so daunting! (and simultaneously it reminds me of when in secondary school we just had store bought weekly planners that i barely did anything with......) still, i've always thought bullet journaling looks so comfy and good for keeping things in perspective, and this video was really pick-up easy and comprehensive, so i might just give it a try! thank you!
I have adhd and the same issue! So I call the lists "brain dump" so I'm able to get everything on paper. Then I have a circle bullet for reasonable things to do that day and have a bullet point that looks like a little cloud that's more of a "thought/suggestion" like "hmm laundry is soon" "maybe go on a walk this week" "plan a hangout?" Anything loose like that to just remind me and not stress me out. With the circle bullet I use the method of check mark if done, and arrow if I didn't get around to it and move it forward but I use X to cancel items I didn't do because I decided not to rather than think of it as "failed to do". When I feel overwhelmed by my list I go in and cancel or move items. It gets easier over time to learn what length of todo items is manageable! Also when I first started, and even when I restarted after a year, I let myself do a MASSIVE brain dump where I filled literally three pages each line with to do, concepts of what I wanted to do, events, everything. I barely looked at it again but just acknowledging the thought and writing it down helped get that "buzz" out of my head and helped me focus on what I actually needed/wanted to focus on. I know todo lists are a double edged sword for ADHDers but I hope this helped! (Oh and also I keep it super simple, one page per day no frills because otherwise it's too much to focus on and becomes a part of my list lol)
I really like how fast you talk. It's the exact speed my brain works at. I watched your whole video but I couldn't get through a Fast and Furious 7 movie last night. I swear my attention span has shortened. "crying"
Thank you so much for your suggestions!!! I've been trying to bullet journal (for the first time) & wanted to do it in a simple way without too much artworks or spreads so your video really inspired me a lot. Specially the habit tracker thing, I definitely need to make one lol!
Just started this week. Literally have three days in it. I am liking it. Using the basic set up from the "start here" video. I use a lined journal for daily thoughts. I share that with my wife. This so far has actually made the past few days very productive. Will see what happens next week when I'm back to work.
I'm a simple woman. I see your video showing up in my recs, I instantly watch. Not sure if I'll do bullet journaling, but I used to write healthy recipes on my notebook that include low GI foods for my PCOS diet. So it's kind of like journaling? Sort of? IDK.
The best BuJo video I have ever watched. I bought the idea and can’t wait for my notebook and one fine black pen to arrive and start journaling. Have two questions: 1) How do you distinguish work and personal related tasks? 2) Do you also ‘journal’ at the same time, like at the end of the day writing all of your thoughts, events happened, etc in a more free formatted way?
I keep a separate notebook for work actually! A lot of the same techniques, though to be honest it's a lot more chaotic and less rigorous hahaha As for the end of day journaling, I usually add them as notes with a "dash" type bullet (like this -) after the normal to-do type bullets :D I'm not very good at keeping that up though to be honest haha
Genshin pronunciations got me here, the journal and adhd videos made me subscribe after I laughed out loud 3 times and I usually just smile and move on. I can’t believe I focused long enough to post this comment tbh lol thanks for the videos and funnies!
OMG. I like watching bullet journal videos, i just find them soothing. But never really considered making one for myself. Until you got to the "things I Did." monthly reflection. Time passed but I spent that time doing something. Combating existential dread. That speaks to my soul so deeply. I need to find a way to implement this is a way that gives me joy.
I've recently shifted this process to a private instagram account with no followers where I post a small photoset for each reflection!! i've found it a little easier to integrate into my life since I'm already wasting time on instagram anyways haha, I hope you find a format that works well for you!
This video showed up in my Recommended feed and I'm SO GLAD IT DID! I absolutely love your energy, and how there's a level of pleasant chaos with the format of your video. Please know I mean that in the best way possible! So many bujo videos are calm, and relaxing...but I lose interest in a while because I zen out. Your style matches my focus - or lack thereof - perfectly! I'll definitely be watching more videos. :)
oh i like the keeping the tracker outside of the main journal idea!!! i would get so annoyed trying to maintain good habits and grabbing for my journal when i don’t feel like it. i’m definitely gonna try that!
hey ying!! also a queer cn woman with adhd, and your videos give me so much joy. it's really special to see someone like me being lovely and doing all kinds of wonderful things. i totally get the ripping pages out, and the whiteout thing. something v v cool i discovered is frixion pens which are erasable and come in different colours and thicknesses
This was so refreshing, thank you so much! I've been bullet journaling for two years now and, by trial and error, found my own way. But sometimes I'm looking for new inspiration- new ideas for how to use it. But most of the TH-camrs just show you how to make it pretty, and I'm so sick of that!
it's really about function over form for some of us, though I get that a lot of people enjoy the process because of the beautification haha. glad this was helpful for you, best of luck with your journaling!!
This video was so helpful. Thanks very much! I don't have a notebook but a calendar with a lot of space and I want to use the bullet journal there. I will definitely take over your reflection module - that's exactly what I was missing. Stay healthy!
"Rip the f-in page out" I feel u lady Once I rip the page that i messup and then the binding. After the notebook look ugly i throw away the whole notebook 😃 And I ended up over thinking about that notebook sometimes out of nowhere 🥲 and feel stupid... like right now 😭😭
this is my first video of yours but you’ve already got a subscriber! i love how you’ve interacted w your audience and you seem really cool and down to earth
Brilliant. The best BuJo tutorial I have seen. Going to put a lot of this in practice. I understand the process much better and have been inspired. Thank you 🌻
Oh I absolutely understand the perfectionist part. I'm still like that 1000%, which is exactly why I now use erasable pens for everything. I never thought of the brush pens, though. That would make the big letter for my titles/headers a lot easier :D
Super random since no correlation with bullet journals at all but this video reminded me of another streamer, DeeBeeGeek ✨ And I think the reason for that is the way both of you communicate to your audience is so full of compassion and understanding. Your words feel so warm, sincere and heartfelt, and I really hope to discover more people like you. I really wish we can have more streamers like you that people can be able to relate and connect with ☺ Thank you so much for these tips, and also, sending good luck on your Genshin pulls 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Hi Ying! I don't know if you'll read this, but thank you for making this video! I tried making a bullet journal before but focused on the look of it (spoiler: I'm not an artist and I have ugly handwriting) and I also decided to do it much after the year started and in the middle of the week, so all of that discouraged me because I wanted it to be perfect, to start it 1 January and finish it 31st December - safe to say, I still didn't make my own journal. Your video taught me that I don't have to make it fancy and I can start with just a weekly journal if I'm not sure if it's for me. I'm writing this comment on a Sunday afternoon, so I feel like now is the perfect time to start it and I'll see if I wanna continue. I like your how-to videos a lot, especially because I feel like I can relate to you very much. Hope you're having a nice week and that you're doing well!
This is what I did too. I started with a really thin blank notebook and tried it out. It was interesting. I copied someone else's setup first, but after a couple of days I would analyze what worked for me and change things. Realized a lot about myself just by trying to figure out how to bujo more efficiently. The weekly didn't work so well for me. I tried it out for a bit but it got full fast. Now I'm experimenting with using a calendar with really big spaces and I'm writing my weekly events and tasks on it. Rapid logging works better for me cuz of the way I think and my job. (I'm a teacher.) Depending on the day, I can take up 1-3 pages.
So glad to see this video. Been feeling like a lone, functional bujo wolf in sea of scrapbookers 😂 I personally save all the fancy stuff for my actual art/creative journal
this is so helpful and detailed!! i had no clue the original bullet journal concept was so simple :0 i may just have to try this out…!! thanks ying 👀!!!
Happy accidents are the reason why I use the Pilot Frixion Pens. They are not removed perfect, but perfect enough for me to not use a hole bunch of correcting pens.
Thanks~ love your approach and personality ☺️ and just found your channel, I feel like this is such an approachable way to start bullet journaling which I loveeeee
My biggest problem is committing to journals. I have like 10 journals where only the first few pages have been used for: Animal Crossing turnip prices, self-reflection, ideas for content, doodling. I’ll even forget what each journal is for. 😅
I'm going to try this--ADHD and autistic, but I love a lot of your ideas. Also love the brush pens. Btw, I *am* an artist, and I don't want this to be some sort of artistic medium for me. I want to carry on with watercolor sketching and NOT get bogged down--because I think the watercolor sketching is more something for me to share on trips, with friends, etc. If I write something private, don't want to feel like I have to share this. Also do have some perfectionistic stuff, another reason I like many of your ideas.
I am just starting bujo and want minimal set up but very functional system. your video is very helpful! thank you for sharing! love the use of the brush marker, gonna buy them too. thank you so much for the time stamps too!! ☺️💖
For the trackers(habits/mood/period), I prefer using an app. But for goal setting and weekly planning, I still prefer paper. Anyway, you gave me a good idea with the monthly spread. Like writing what happened instead of writing plans/events(since future log and weekly spread kinda makes it redundant).
it's so funny to here you talking! I'm more an artist else i don't use my bujo but i really love your's! And you voice and speed you're talking! And this bullet journal is really minimum, i saw another video where every spred and line had to be perfect and well prepared on your "happy little accidents" are so refreshing!
i know this is a month later but i wanted to say that i use my bullet journal as a "habit" (task) tracker on one page for chores, health stuff and hobbies on one page and just a whole week's to-do list with no dates or labels on the other page! its honestly just good to have a place to dump tasks into and have the same trackers to remember to eat fruits or wash the dishes, etc.. ..so all this is just to say that its still useful if you dont have any events nor (like me) you dont have many tasks where you actually have to have it done on a specific day :)
I'm currently on my second try of Bujo-ing and so far, a simple approach is the way to go to keep consistent with adding entries. This new journal of mine is much smaller than my 1st journal so I'm not pressured to make elaborate spreads just to fill up space. I also left blank pages in between each week so if I wanna experiment with new lists or trackers, I can put it there but if I end up realizing it doesn't work, i can just not do it in the next week. Low commitment heheheh
It's so interesting but really, at some point I'd loose my patience if I made one 😅 Almost random tip: I used to lose a lot of sleeping time because if I woke up before the alarm I'd check the time at my phone and ended up spending time on social media and not sleeping again. So I changed the habit to check the time at my Kindle (the one with illumination), then I go back to sleep right after if it's still early.
This was a great video :3 I think I’m going to start a bullet journal as well :0 I always thought they had to be super perfect and no mistakes and everything has to be artistically beautiful so because I don’t really have this skill I never tried it really so thank u to open my eyes hahaha
Gurll U know what u said the best things like just bullet no watercolour and washi tapes its actually a waste of time and yes I found u really really late wish I knew u when I literally started bullet journaling like its my first year doing journaling and i was so confused and was a waste of time i left or quit it in June but i am gonna start it again in October so yeah thanks a lot for posting this vud
Yesterday I was doing this week's spread and put 29 for monday and then 01 for tusday xd well, I just wrote 30 next and then moved on to write 2, 3 and weekend :D Mistakes happen and that's a part of life :)
I've come back to say that I've started using normal non-frixion pens in my journaling, along with wite out and it's sloooowly helping me to not worry so much about being perfect But since it's not erasable, it's also forcing me to really think while I'm writing, so that I won't need the wite out in the first place xD
I understand you completely… I am an auditor and structure and perfectionism is my daily live. I would tear the page. I can’t do this, this is too free-form. But I certainly appreciate how it looks.
I really cannot thank you enough for making videos like these. I fell into the trap of comparing myself to other people and I am just not an artist. I would avoid even using my bullet journal because I was afraid of messing it up. It made no sense. Your videos remind me that it's okay to keep it minimal and focus on what bullet journaling is all about. It should add efficiency to my life - not take away from it. Thank you!
people like you have giving me the courage to begin using a journal, and i have decided to document it as well so i can go back when im older and look back at the very cringe videos : ) cuz oviously im not organized or video sabi lmao
I love your lazy approach. I think we might sometimes get to focused on the design aspect... Your last comment on the habittracker is a great idea! I struggle with trackers, because of the whole proces of having to open my BuJo, search, cross out the right square... It is just mentally too much for me. I shall try your approach of a seperate paper somewhere easy to reach :)
When I make a mistake in my journal, I just put a piece of washi tape over it and write "lol" on top. I know bullet journals are SrZs bIDniZZ, but by the time I finish it journal & I flip back, I probably forgot the mistake already, get to peel the tape, snicker at the mess up, and move on. Allow mistakes and laugh when applicable lol
Honestly I really want to do this but it’s hard for me cuz my hand writing scares me and also sometimes I fall half asleep and get random marks everywhere, and then I wouldn’t be able to read anything-

I had the same problem starting out!!! really just gotta strip it down and start with the basics 👍
Do I wanna know what it is?
I'm so confused, what does it mean?
@@kittyangelzzz6512 well "dix nuef" means nineteen in french but it kinda sounds like deez nuts when you say it
@@-miaumiau lmao, thank you. I thought it meant something in Chinese and I was confused. Obviously my brain isn't functioning properly.
Haha.
Hi, I want to try this approach as well. Glad to hear that it may be the solution I was searching for.
Good luck!
I've been bullet journaling for almost three years and this is probably the best video on the topic that I've ever seen.
(and simultaneously it reminds me of when in secondary school we just had store bought weekly planners that i barely did anything with......)
still, i've always thought bullet journaling looks so comfy and good for keeping things in perspective, and this video was really pick-up easy and comprehensive, so i might just give it a try!
"crying"
I’m gonna sub to this channel for so many reasons.
1. she’s Beautiful n
2. She’s Smart
3. read 1 & 2 again
Sort of? IDK.
Ohhh I'm so happy you're sponsored by Skillshare, Ying!!! 💖 And his video is so good! I love the morning breathing habit, I'll try to do it too!!
The best BuJo video I have ever watched. I bought the idea and can’t wait for my notebook and one fine black pen to arrive and start journaling. Have two questions:
1) How do you distinguish work and personal related tasks?
2) Do you also ‘journal’ at the same time, like at the end of the day writing all of your thoughts, events happened, etc in a more free formatted way?
I keep a separate notebook for work actually! A lot of the same techniques, though to be honest it's a lot more chaotic and less rigorous hahaha
As for the end of day journaling, I usually add them as notes with a "dash" type bullet (like this -) after the normal to-do type bullets :D I'm not very good at keeping that up though to be honest haha
This is the first video I’m watching of your channel. Your personality is absolute GOLD.
this is the best journaling video i've seen until now, i think i'll give it a try!
Genshin pronunciations got me here, the journal and adhd videos made me subscribe after I laughed out loud 3 times and I usually just smile and move on. I can’t believe I focused long enough to post this comment tbh lol thanks for the videos and funnies!
“YOU THINK YOU CAN BUY ME? WELL UR RIGHT. TY FOR THE 5 SUBS.”
@@ying_verse What a neat idea. I don't use my instagram at all, but maybe that would be a way I could make use of it.
not me being unable to focus on the bujo tips because I keep wondering what dix neuf means in chinese
same
oh i like the keeping the tracker outside of the main journal idea!!! i would get so annoyed trying to maintain good habits and grabbing for my journal when i don’t feel like it. i’m definitely gonna try that!
hey ying!! also a queer cn woman with adhd, and your videos give me so much joy. it's really special to see someone like me being lovely and doing all kinds of wonderful things. i totally get the ripping pages out, and the whiteout thing. something v v cool i discovered is frixion pens which are erasable and come in different colours and thicknesses
Really needed this. Kinda the information mostly the vibes.
accountability buddie sounds like an awesome!! i like it!!
I really liked your simplistic methods! I'm new and will use the reflection bit at the very least!
For a video that is almost 20 minutes long, this isn’t boring at all.
really love your approach to a monthly reflection 💕 keen to incorporate it into my own bullet journal!
This video was so helpful. Thanks very much! I don't have a notebook but a calendar with a lot of space and I want to use the bullet journal there. I will definitely take over your reflection module - that's exactly what I was missing. Stay healthy!
"Rip the f-in page out"
I feel u lady
Once I rip the page that i messup and then the binding. After the notebook look ugly i throw away the whole notebook 😃
And I ended up over thinking about that notebook sometimes out of nowhere 🥲 and feel stupid... like right now 😭😭
this is my first video of yours but you’ve already got a subscriber! i love how you’ve interacted w your audience and you seem really cool and down to earth
This was a very practical and to the point video on the topic. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing the symbols and encouraging us to do what works for us. I enjoyed your video. ✏️
Great video! Definitely gonna try this out, might help me organize my routines more.
Thank you~! I'd love to try doing bullet journaling~
I'm so glad I was able to help it feel more approachable for you--best of luck!!! Hope you find a good balance that works well for you :D
Why do I enjoy watching Ying's videos about things I don't actually care about?
This is what I did too. I started with a really thin blank notebook and tried it out. It was interesting. I copied someone else's setup first, but after a couple of days I would analyze what worked for me and change things. Realized a lot about myself just by trying to figure out how to bujo more efficiently.
The weekly didn't work so well for me. I tried it out for a bit but it got full fast. Now I'm experimenting with using a calendar with really big spaces and I'm writing my weekly events and tasks on it. Rapid logging works better for me cuz of the way I think and my job. (I'm a teacher.) Depending on the day, I can take up 1-3 pages.
your handwriting is so pretty!❤️
So glad to see this video. Been feeling like a lone, functional bujo wolf in sea of scrapbookers 😂 I personally save all the fancy stuff for my actual art/creative journal
your cursive is so pretty!!! i need to learn how to write pretty cursive lol
i'm new to the channel and i was watching your older videos! i'm excited to be here and see you! ;)
Ayyyye this is such a cool topic!! Thanks for the amazing video Ying!!!!😁
this is so helpful and detailed!! i had no clue the original bullet journal concept was so simple :0 i may just have to try this out…!! thanks ying 👀!!!
I'm glad it was helpful!!
Happy accidents are the reason why I use the Pilot Frixion Pens. They are not removed perfect, but perfect enough for me to not use a hole bunch of correcting pens.
Thanks for making this seem so easy!!
another banger. your vids are always so fun to watch, ying :)
This was great! Thanks for sharing. I learned a lot I'd like to apply. *bookmarked to revisit*
I'm glad you found it helpful!!
I loved the video, and your personalty! Its a great message.
Btw.: That ring😍
Well done… love anything lazy yet functional. Low hanging fruit is best when hungry!
I am just starting bujo and want minimal set up but very functional system. your video is very helpful! thank you for sharing! love the use of the brush marker, gonna buy them too.
thank you so much for the time stamps too!! ☺️💖
I just clicked on this video randomly abd the intro sold me straight away lmao
You have a very pleasant voice! I can absolutely imagine you as a voice actor.
I don’t know why this video appears on my suggestion 👀 needed that thank you !
Girlll..you`re total vibe...subscribing to you...
it's so funny to here you talking! I'm more an artist else i don't use my bujo but i really love your's! And you voice and speed you're talking! And this bullet journal is really minimum, i saw another video where every spred and line had to be perfect and well prepared on your "happy little accidents" are so refreshing!
This is nice , honestly my life doesn’t have that many events so I don’t think I can pick this up which makes me kind of sad lol
I use it as an event tracker because that's just how my life is, but it's good as a simple todo list or reflections tool too!
i know this is a month later but i wanted to say that i use my bullet journal as a "habit" (task) tracker on one page for chores, health stuff and hobbies on one page and just a whole week's to-do list with no dates or labels on the other page! its honestly just good to have a place to dump tasks into and have the same trackers to remember to eat fruits or wash the dishes, etc..
..so all this is just to say that its still useful
if you dont have any events nor (like me) you dont have many tasks where you actually have to have it done on a specific day :)
I cant consistently keep up with anything at all, but this seems cute! I use discord to try and keep track of things with my roommate
Low commitment heheheh
low commitment really makes things feel easier!!! i hope this second try works out better for you
@@ying_verse I hope so too~ thanks for representing us ehrm...lazy bullet journal writers. Your tips are really helpful~
i'd love to do something like this but i know for a fact that i'd forget about it 2 days in 💀
Mood
It's so interesting but really, at some point I'd loose my patience if I made one 😅
Almost random tip: I used to lose a lot of sleeping time because if I woke up before the alarm I'd check the time at my phone and ended up spending time on social media and not sleeping again.
Gurll
U know what u said the best things like just bullet no watercolour and washi tapes its actually a waste of time and yes I found u really really late wish I knew u when I literally started bullet journaling like its my first year doing journaling and i was so confused and was a waste of time i left or quit it in June but i am gonna start it again in October so yeah thanks a lot for posting this vud
Yesterday I was doing this week's spread and put 29 for monday and then 01 for tusday xd well, I just wrote 30 next and then moved on to write 2, 3 and weekend :D Mistakes happen and that's a part of life :)
I've come back to say that I've started using normal non-frixion pens in my journaling, along with wite out
and it's sloooowly helping me to not worry so much about being perfect
But since it's not erasable, it's also forcing me to really think while I'm writing, so that I won't need the wite out in the first place xD
this is very useful and to the point... your video help me a lot, thank you ^^
I understand you completely… I am an auditor and structure and perfectionism is my daily live. I would tear the page. I can’t do this, this is too free-form. But I certainly appreciate how it looks.
I really enjoyed this so I liked & subscribed!
Wow, that was really nice. I have a diary that I write in but I like yours better. I think I will do something different like a journal. #2
Thank u for the video Ying! Such useful tips!!! I love you btw ❤️❤️
I did not expect Klee to start lecturing me on bullet journaling.
Thank you!
🥺I'm so glad this video helped! I know that comparison trap is super easy to fall into, wishing you the best of luck in your next bujo attempt!
omg she got a trim ♡
Everyone in chat talking about how circling the bullet looks like a boob while you’re trying to make a vid lmfao
chat truly has a mind of its own HHAH
people like you have giving me the courage to begin using a journal, and i have decided to document it as well so i can go back when im older and look back at the very cringe videos : ) cuz oviously im not organized or video sabi lmao
Real talk grlll.. Do the damn thang... So great to listen 2... Thnk u for sharing ur vibes
Use a pencil until you get comfortable. Good ones don't smudge and nothing has to be permanent!
