  • From www.swimmingpoo... this is a quick review of the features and function of the 342001 Pentair SuperFlo VS pump. It is dual voltage compatible and works natively with both 1.5" and 2" plumbing.

You can feed 120v or 240v in to most Haywards now. But I do believe that there may be a reduction in HP. The display is also much better on the Hayward.

Thanks for your review was very informative. I have a solar water heater system it is driven by the pump, do I need more horsepower for that? It’s always worked well before but now that our pump is getting so old it’s very very noisy and the pressure doesn’t seem to be enough to drive the robot around the pool. Is the whisper flow still a good choice for this? Also I am not concerned about the cost of electricity since we have solar panels for electricity. Would you recommend another choice in my case? Thank you so much

Great videos!! Curious. Is the suction side of the pump set up for 2” and the return side at 1.5”??

Yes in this video that is how the plumbing is configured

In practice, Is there any benefit to that or just for demonstration purpose only?

@@deplorabledreg2935 This is for testing of 1.5" systems. There would be an advantage to have all the equipment pad in 2" plumbing as this slows the water velocity down. Slower moving water moves more efficiently.

Does it connect to automation, like intelliconnect?

Do they make super flows in non-variable speed?

The discharge pipe from the pump says DWV pipe. Isn't that the wrong type pipe for a pool?

Great video! What is the black circular rubber plug at the top used for?

On the Pump - it's most likely a blank - filling a hole which can be used to mount the control panel remotely. You'd run a wire into that port with a watertight fitting.
