been watching boxing every week for 5-6 years and this decision genuinely makes me want to stop watching, what’s the point

How many times is this going to happen, the sport is so corrupt. Not sure what fight they were watching, but Josh got schooled. STOP killing our sport. Ban them Judges, strip Josh and give the belts to the right man. Jack don't need a rematch, he already won. Josh knows he lost and so does his trainer and they are saying Josh won lol what a joke, lost all respect for Josh and his team. At least lose with dignity.
It'll keep happening because the spineless TV chans and their ex fighting pundits won't actually say the word corruption. They just say "robbery". This will continue to happen until they all grow a spine and start calling it how it is.

@@bobjob7611 This decision should be reversed, but it wont. Its no good them saying its a robbery and then next week its another event and its forgotten about, Jack trained real hard for this and may never get a chance to win a world title again.
@@leetaylor9510 If you lose, the better man won, shake hands and fix the mistakes you made in the fight and have the rematch, but Josh knows he can't win and will vacate and move up a weight. Governing body will probably make Jack No1 one and fight for the title, but there is no guarantee he will win and may never win a world title. Which means he loses out on saying he was world champion.

One of the worst decisions i've seen for a long time, probably on par with the Lewis Ritson robbery. The dude was outlanded 2 to 1, floored and clearly given a boxing lesson at times. I am absolutely shocked. I feel for Catteral, he's been denied life changing money.

I agree with Jamie. That was one of the most disgusting decisions in boxing. Catterall has worked hard his whole life for this moment. He literally put on the best performance of his career. The Judges play god and have no accountability. Utter disgrace!

nah ya gotta rips the titles off the champ..its english bias son..the knockdown was a joke and the points deductions an even bigger joke..plus luck wasnt on jacks side..he lost it at the weigh in son..maybe it was karma but it wasnt a robbery when you take into account the facts..english bias didnt even win you the fight because the judges seen through it and they always favour the champ and home fighter when it comes to close rounds..hence you have to go beyond matching the champ you gotta supercede every department...next time for jack in a few years..he will get a shot at one of the belts next so can redeem himself then son..

The bookies would of lost big time. I'm sure this is connected to the decision. Sports are fixed on major levels. My uncle told me this and it's become more and more apparent that this is the truth.

Wasn't that bad. The fight was awful and the referee ruined the fight. Jack knew he was facing the home boy and to be honest, he took the gas off when he knocked Josh down. Jack should of won but he should of done more to convince the judge's. We all know boxing is corrupt.

There was a 10-8 round and a point deduction in there yet one judge gave Taylor 114 points which means that judge thinks Taylor won 8 of the 12 rounds.

That’s the best point made in these comments, particularly when you think the knockdown wasn’t one of the first 5 rounds where you would give Taylor 1 of them at most
They don't think Taylor won 8 of the 12 rounds they know Catherall won the fight but when they have been paid off what do you expect these judges should be forced to come on national TV and explain how they came to their decision to score the fight they did

This is why boxing will always be a niche sport. This sort of decision brings boxing in to disrepute. The casual viewer will laugh at this sort of thing. It has yet again set the sport back years.

why oh why cant the judges' scores be posted during the 1 minute breaks between rounds ? If this was done, then everyone would know exactly what the score was, and react accordingly.

One of the most frustrating things for me to see was how Taylor shamelessly celebrated like he deserved it. Not an ounce of remorse when he knows in his heart that he didn’t deserve it. He went down a bit in my estimation for doing that

Feel so disappointed for Jack Catterall, he worked so hard for this fight, waited patiently for his opportunity, had the right attitude in the buildup, boxed such a great fight and comes up short on two scorecards.

Jonny hit the nail on the head when he said that scandalous verdict said “believe me, not your lying eyes” ….I actually feel sorry for Josh Taylor too, he has to continually announce “I won the fight” when he knows that he didn’t, what a burden to carry. I doubt he’s slept well since the fight, living a lie and trying to convince people that they didn’t witness the worst decision in a British ring. Ian John Lewis should never handle another scorecard at any level.

Felt with the length of time judging was taking that it might end up being a fixed draw to save both fighters records and have a rematch, but to see those scores was absolutely outrageous. Taylor was outclassed all night long and as a Scot, I'm disgusted to see this happen on our soil.

The judges MUST have been bribed or something like that....needs investigating and TBH the decision should be reversed,an independant panel should re watch the fight and overrule that daylight robbery.........or boxing will suffer,
It would be very interesting for someone to sit down with the "114-111 Taylor" judge and rewatch the fight on a screen with him and have him explain how he came to those scoring conclusions. I'm certain he would fall to bits in his explanations.

I’m Scottish and watched this whole fight seeing Taylor get battered for 12 rounds losing convincingly and was genuinely shocked at the judges decision. Everyone watching were simply waiting for Catteralls arm to be raised.
Jack held too much. It’s a negative style. He was never on the front foot. Judges didn’t like it.

Taylor should have had a point taken off him for the amount of punches to the back of Jack's head in clinches. Yet Jack got deducted for pushing down on josh.

I’m 58 years old, I used to watch boxing with my late father, an ex boxer. This is the worst decision I have ever witnessed, corrupt run by gangsters. Thought those days had gone decades ago. The sport is a shambles.
I think Taylor had a virus or something as he didn't land a punch on Catterall. But Taylor lost by 5 rounds. Shocking decision.

The bookies had Catterall 1/10 on to win going into the last round. They knew he was winning the fight. Everyone at ringside, in the arena and at home knew Catterall won the fight. Out punched Taylor in all but one round. Boxing after tonight has lost yet more fans to ufc/mma. Is it any wonder. Jamie Moore knows pressure and pressure alone doesn't win fights. Taylor clearly lost that fight.
