You have all the bases covered: spin it, dye it and design it!! You always put a smile on my face. I hope you feel the return love from your followers. ❤❤
I've loved watching your channel and though I understand life happens, but miss you when you can't make it. Your idea of miss matched socks is genius! Enjoy your week.
Thank you Emma! Love all the yarny things! I’ll stick to knitting, but I’m envious of those who spin and/or dye! Small apt insulated w stash, soooo… Limiting my self: 7 WIP bags in plain sight. Various levels of “difficulty” (meaning: some brain power required to make the thing, nothing complex at the moment). Now that it’s cooler weather (sometimes!), I need to finish off -an inch or three- a few cowls, hats or mitts. If only to feel like I accomplished something! Keep on knitting! or spinning or dyeing
Emma, I have voted in 13 POTUS elections, turning 18 the first year 18-year-olds could vote. Sometimes I was happy with the results, sometimes not. Sometimes not A LOT. What makes America so special is in 4 years, we always get a do over I am so grateful to you for all the knowledge and encouragement for knitting and for introducing me to TWT. I don't think I will ever spin b/c I do well getting any knitting done! I hope you continue to share your projects and know you are so appreciated by your followers. Friends are too important to lose over politics.
Both of the sweaters are beautiful. You are so right about the use of repetition to achieve a good result. Practice certainly does make perfect. I think your WYS yarn is deep teal, 0716. 🇬🇧
Yes! I think that it is not always an easy mindset, because a lot of people get impatient. I find myself feeling impatient from time to time but in the end, if I like what I'm doing, I don't mind the practice and repetition.
Starry cup cozy. Thank you for the pattern, I bought it, and I remembered something you said in a previous show about fair isle knitting. Sheila McGregor’s book on Traditional Fair Isle Knitting from ThriftBooks was a great recommendation, thank you. I’ve got your pattern is a baseline, Sheila’s book for patterns, and lots of Shetland wools. Now I’m off and running to find the color ways for some cozy’s. ❤
You will never be bored again!! That is one of my absolute favorites. To design these little cozies I actually use the Selbu Mittens book, since the designs are all square, but I think you could do it with just about any pattern book.
Love the hockey sock idea. Baseball fan here (let's go Mets!). I think you could do half a season per sock - so what if they don't match. Our comfort watching is Northern Exposure, a great and quirky show from the 80s (Amazon Prime).
Thank you for the recommendation - I will have to check it out! I am indeed doing a half season per sock, so they won't match, of course, but I think it's fun. For baseball, the stripes would be much smaller - I think just two stripes per game should do it, since there are about twice as many baseball games in a season as there are hockey gaems.
Hi Emma. Great episode. Your color work sweaters are fantastic. If you like Scottish History and history told with tongue in cheek, then check out Scottish History Tours with Bruce. He has dreadlocks and a great delivery with a Scottish brogue. Always starts out with "let me tell you a story".
Here's the pattern! www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/turn-a-square I sing professionally at a church in Washington, DC - it is such a crazy life, but I love it so much!
I binge West Wing - Thank you for the tips. Martha Stewart IS amazing and I love her and get angry at her. But she did go to jail. So many men have gotten off for the same thing she did . Well love the episode keep on keeping on ! ttfn
You're right. I've been learning more and more about how many men (and white people) get away with things that minorities wouldn't. Even just getting jobs for which they are not fully qualified!
Love the proposed teal combo, but stop showing me color work pullovers- I have too many warm sweaters already! I am making a lace weight sweater for the first time, which I can actually wear more often in coastal California, but prefer fingering or sport weight color work projects.
I dont watch your political videos. Im sure there are more like me. I like your talks on everything but politics. You are right, politics is dividing and we need to be united and can do so over knitting or anything else.

I sure do! Thanks for always hanging out with me on Tuesdays and keep on knitting 😄

Thank you! I appreciate that people come back every week.

Thanks for showing us your Rhinebeck sweater. It’s beautiful!!!
Thank you so much!!
Heartstopper is my comfort show too - I definitely have watched it at least 3 times though and think I’ll start again this weekend.
It's just too heartwarming. Everyone is so sweet and loveable.

Thanks Jana! This is a lovely reminder that the most important thing we can do is simply to vote.

That sounds great! I will have to check that out for sure. Thank you for the recommendations!
Always enjoy your videos. I have started my West Yorkshire Spinners Christmas socks already hoping they will be done to wear during Advent
I hope they are too!! I plan to do a lot of sock knitting during the US Thanksgiving holiday week...
I think if put the light in front of you instead of behind you, you may get better lighting for recording. 😁
I think you're right! I should probably get a ring light. I hate this lamp.
What do you do as a church musician? I love your advent sock idea!! And using odd lots to do that. How can I find that turn a square pattern?

Ahh! I'm so sad for you that it's not cold enough for warm sweaters! I'll have to show a lighter weight sweater next time.
