Good morning Emma, Loved seeing your TH-cam and getting a glimpse of your knitting world. Your knitting is truly gifted and I marvel at knitting savants like you. Your mom is a treasure and you are lucky to have her in your life! The Fair Isle sweater you shared with all the exquisite colors is a real showstopper! The smaller gauge you are knitting with on that sweater is so beautiful and if you used say.....a worsted yarn the detail would not be as intricate and lovely, so I can't wait to see it when you complete it. I'm about to venture into sewing bags and I've collected some very cool fabrics for this adventure. I loved seeing the bag your mom made - it was very well done! I'm a very technical/precision sewer so I know it will be fun to make. I want a separate bag for my ongoing knitting projects but I tend to have a couple sock projects together in 1 bag because they are smaller. I will always have socks on the needles- I learned to make them in 2023 from the University of TH-cam (CrazySockLady) and I wish I had jumped into that way sooner. Knitting brings a peace like no other activity and I'm grateful for it! I'm getting ready to put my home on the market and preparing for the big move to Oregon. My son got a job up there (he's a police officer) so him and his family are dragging me with them and we are a package deal. It's so disruptive but I can still squeek in knitting so at least I have that!!!!!!!! Look forward to peeking into your knitting world in your next episode! Thank you for sharing your knitting excellence😄. Carrie from Northern San Francisco Bay Area. 😘🧠❤🐕🐑☕🧵🪡🧶
Great to see you with your Mum and her fantastic knits. Your fairisle sweater looks amazing as do your socks. Have you ever considered selling your patterns some place other than Ravelry as I do not use Ravelry and would love to knit your sock patterns. Enjoy the rest of your stay at home and have plenty of time to relax. 🇬🇧
Great episode. You and your mom have a great rapport and it is fun to listen to you talk about knitting and yarn. Your June sock is beautiful. The blue on the cuff is perfect! Have a good visit with your family.
Enjoyed this episode with your mom. When she said that Tuku was her favourite, she became by kindred spirt. I have said the same for years…and thought I was alone! - All the best from Guelph, Ont. ~
First of all, Emma, your mom is AMAZEBALLS. She looks so young. (And maybe she is...) What is the dark color in her first Glass Houses scarf? Is it eggplant? Black? Also, I LOVE your June socks. Can you maybe start with publishing your June pattern? Please? :)
Foster by Claire Keegan is also really good (and short). I read Robertson Davies years and years ago - might have to revisit! Love those colors in your new Fair Isle. And lucky you to have a great knitting mom!
Super - I will have to read that next! Thanks for the recommendation. I read Davies every summer without fail, whether or not it's a new-to-me book or an old fave.
I would totally watch a TH-cam channel of your mom. Such a cutie, and so many wonderful projects to learn about 😄🐝

Hobbs is so happy and content in your arms
I love when your Mom joins you❤. A great episode Emma🧶
Thank you!! She had so much great stuff to share.
Omg I feel the same way about Donna Tartt (blah). And I love Robertson Davies, I so enjoyed his books! Hobbes is so cute.
LOVE those lace socks.
Aww your mom is so pretty! She can really pull off that short hairstyle, so youthful on her. Both of your projects are beautiful
She is asked frequently who cuts her hair and keeps a stack of their cards in her wallet!

Thank you! I love when she joins me.
Enjoy the episodes with your mom! I totally blew up my yarn budget with some Qiviut yarn I purchased in Alaska and plan to knit your Natalie cowl
I love your shawl with the beads ... I'm glad you just positioned the beads wherever as it makes it look like stars in the galaxy 😍
❤ Susannah
It is really nice!! I can't imagine having the patience for a beaded piece but they do look amazing in the shawl.
So sweet to see you and your Mom. Amazing bag! Family of artists. thank you Tuku wool is marvelous.
Yes - she is a great sewer!
Love the visit with your Mom. I can see where your talents come from

It is really the best!! Lasts forever and so beautiful.
May I say that I really enjoyed test knitting your socks. I did two pairs. Or maybe three.
