I can’t give enough praise to this channel. I’ve watched so many different channels and videos and all of them just made me more inconsistent. This is the one and only channel where I feel I’m actually being taught something. I bring this info to the course and feel more confident and I am more consistent. This channel has made me go from feeling like I NEED lessons, to now feeling like I can get away without them because of the knowledge in these videos

That smash factor talk with the putter and wedges actually blew my mind, I never thought about it that way but it makes SO much sense.

Im equally good tee through green , crap the whole way 😜….putting to (past )an old hole plug would never dawned in me but makes perfect sense…ive almost always tried to have just enough power to make hole , but occasionally miss way too long .so i can definitely see the use of that drill and its importance

Great video, so when taking the putter back I stay on the line of the putt and not go back at an arc?

My putting stats are 1.86 overall and 2.09 when I hit GIR. So I guess my chipping and pitching are pretty good. Need to improve lag and intermediate putting.

I may not be the best on my short game but I know it's better than it's way better than my tee ball

When it comes to plumb bobbing, I've only seen one TH-camr (Mr One Putt) talk about calibrating your individual putter. Stand in front of a wall with a good vertical line. Hold up your putter as if you are going to plumb bob. Rotate the shaft until the shaft is parallel with the vertical line. This is the position (i.e. the direction the putter head is pointing) you need to consistently use to get accurate plumb readings, and it definitely varies from putter to putter. Do you agree? BTW, just found your channel and really enjoy your solid fundamental teaching.

This is a great website with lots of good information. I don't consider myself a good putter. I have the yips and 2 or 3 footers terrify me. I average 33 or 34 putts a round. One thing though near me is that it is difficult to practice the short game since I don't belong to a private club. The local public courses don't want you chipping or pitching to their practice greens and often want you to pay a green fee in order to practice putting. They don't have practice traps either. So if I get a chance to go out by myself with no one else around (pretty rare anymore) I'll hit 4 or 5 balls from 50 yards and chip around the green. A good short game can save a lot of shots.

I recommend that you practice on a rug at home. I have a small round disk (any coaster or round thing the size of a hole or slightly smaller will work).
Then just practice 1’, 2’, & 3’ putts to that target for 5-15 minutes a day, either every day or every other day. Short putts start to become muscle memory. As you get more consistent, back up to 4’ to 6’. I don’t recommend practicing to a hole beyond 6’ because (1) with putts longer than anything more than 10 feet, speed is more important than line so only practice distance control for longer putts, (2) if you can consistently hit a target 3’-6’ away, you can find a spot onto the greens on your line and putt to that spot to get your putt going in the right direction, & (3) we don’t want to practice missing long putts to holes (that will teach our brains to expect to miss those)

I recommend to everyone that you pace off ALL of your putts in a round so that you build a repository of data relating putter impact to distance traveled. Pacing the putt will also tell you if it is flat, downhill, uphill, cross-hill, or some combination of these.
Lastly, for those of you who struggle to find the break of the putt, I CAN NOT recommend Aimpoint Express strongly enough!!!
Being able to have a system to apply consistently to read the break has made putting SO MUCH simpler.
Putting with Aimpoint Express just becomes a game to start the ball on a line you are confident in at the right speed. And you can read long putts in 30-45 seconds & short putts in 10-15 seconds.

Putting is important, but you are wrong about how important... the statistics from the tools that track millions of shots each year all show the same... that the correlation between 10 difference in HC on average has the same difference in more puts.. and it is around 1.5... so from 20 to 10 and from 10 to 0 hc it is only 1.5 out of the 10++ extra strokes that are putting... 7 strokes are from long game...
So all your clients are correct....
