    I wonder if you might consider a video on Ring Modulation? You made a post on GS recently mentioning using the ring mod on the Roland MC707(using ring mod along with a peaking filter), that really opened up my ears to the joys of ring modulation. I really don't understand it very well though, and feel like I'm probably not the only one.

    I am notoriously difficult to buy gifts for, and by that I mean that I tend to tell people to "Just get me an effect pedal". My wife, having eyeballed my browser history, decided to surprise me by buying a, gasp, Chasebliss preamp (the one with the sliders) for my birthday last year. The trouble is that the shop sent along a CXM1978 reverb instead. It is the happiest accident ever and the only thing wrong with it (aside from the price) is that it doesn't leave any reverb for anyone else. It has all the reverb. I am a reverb miser, now, and nobody is going to get their fair share. The sliders are neat, but the capabilities of this box, even a year on, has yet to be fully explored. It's completely bonkers. If you find yourself saying "Self, instead of buying a midrange priced guitar or a recapped Amiga 1200 you should get a reverb instead" then you should seriously consider buying this reverb. I also just realized that I should probably pre-load my browser history with Sherman Filterbank stuff.

    • @magicalsynthadventure3216
      @magicalsynthadventure3216  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sweet little story & review rolled into one 😊, alas, no more reverb for me for the foreseeable as I’ve recently acquired a Lexicon PCM81 and due to the algorithmic depth and modulation available in the box, I should be kept busy for approximately 20-30 years 😂
