Sir, you spent a lot of time saying how SLOW the RVX 32 is; but you failed to clarify that - based on your own testing results, even with it's "buttery smooth draw", it was actually FASTER than the Alpha X 33 and only slower than the Lift 33 by 3 FPS. Full transparency for my Prime Peeps - and the 80 # limbs smoke them both...but hey, I really enjoy your reviews and learn a lot. Keep up the great work....not sure about the vibe thing, more data the better I suppose.
yeah, he seems to hate on alot of other brands quiet a bit, wish there wasn't so much of a bias, like the mathews was like 13fps off and he gives it a 4 rating. Also another thing to note, other people have tested the speed and got different results (faster)
All I got to say is that bow is the nicest bow i’ve ever shot and it’s insanely stable and accurate, think it should’ve got a bit of better score but everyone has their opinions, thanks for the vid!
I am a prime guy and have an inline 5 and prime defy but I must say I agree with you mfjj I have had it with the speed lies of bow companies if I had the money I would buy a new bow with the most accurate speed ratings I know speed isn’t everything but it’s time to be honest nobody wants to buy a Ferrari that has a Miata engine
The grip was the main selling point for me with Prime. It is insulated and very repeatable. I have never had a better shooting bow than my Prime Inline 3. Lastly, you are shooting at ATA parameters not IBO. Stop saying IBO. Stop dinging bows for being below IBO if you are not going to test their actual IBO speed. That said, the speed you got is still awfully slow.
IBO and ATA both use the same parameters of 30” draw with a 5gpp, IBO just tests up to 80#. It is fair and comparable to test and rate speed using ATA. Yes some bows might have a difference at 80# but it won’t be 10fps+. Even if MFJJ’s chrono is consistently slow, it’s consistent, and Mathew’s and Prime definitely did some fudging this year
Correction, IBO doesn't have a designated draw length for testing so the numbers can definitely vary if a bow can go to 31"+ draw. There would definitely be a difference there.
@@sheyanderson4371 well if Ibo didn't nail down 70/30/350 it's they're own fault and I guess it's called ata now. General standard has always been 70/30/350, everyone I know always referred to that as Ibo.
He's comparing the speed taking into consideration all the other specs of the bow as well not just against the claimed IBO. He also took into account using 80% mods which would get you closer to the claimed IBO.
I held a prime a few weeks ago for the first time. I was seriously impressed. Hoyts new cam mod though.... I'm seriously looking at hoyt this year. I love my solution ss though. Gotta start a collection.
It's interesting when you adjust draw weight that you always have Primes under 70 by a "little bit" but Mathews is always a "little over"...if it's 70 make it 70!
Anyone who has done A LOT of hunting knows a smooth draw is super important, have yet to meet an animal that was worried about 10 feet a second, speed is over rated.
Speed is not off, at least not by that much. Since this bow goes to 80lbs, the speed is measured at 80lbs. This is ibo definition, despite the usual opinion that ibo speed is measured at 70lbs. ATA is at 70, while ibo is flexible, even the draw length is not fixed.
I guess my only wonder is how many FPS do you lose shooting through the whisker biscuit as you shot a drop away out of the mathews? Would that change that drastic difference in FPS rating?
The only argument I would make is giving the features a 5 if it includes strings and cables as part of their package. I really like the way primes shoot and hold so I never expect them to be fast. But 19 off ibo is crazy.
1305 thats the same vibration at Mathews 33 lift. Maybe people can drop the vibration stigma associated with the old Prime dual cams. By the way i shoot Mathews Phase 4.
So this bow is 19 fps slow and gets a 1/5 score and you consider it to be bad but Mathews was 15 fps slow and gets a 4/5 and considered good??? I hope you get back to being neutral and honest like you used to MFJJ.
This has got to be the most petty comment I've ever read. 😂 He literally does a great review of the bow and gives us all the info we need and you don't like the grade he gives it... I would be embarrassed to post that comment. Also he shoots a damn bowtech why would he be biased towards Mathews.
@@tylercarder581 what am I saying that’s not true? I think it’s a great bow. But it shot 15 fps slower than it’s rating. That’s not good for a bow that’s supposed to be fast. It’s only 2 feet faster then the Mathews V3X series that’s 2 years ago.

The speed is because you’re shooting heavier arrows their probably putting those numbers out with light nibs with a stiff but lighter arrow something like a 3D setup not a hunting setup I pull 63 pounds with a prime inline 5 and my 3D arrow shoots 338 fps with a 30 inch draw

I don’t agree with scoring reflex dimensions. That is not a measurement that matters in its own realm. What matters is the distance from the tangent point of the string to the cam, to the axis of the grip. Grip provides a torque about the axis of the grip. String pressure acts to resist that torque. Naturally deflex designs try to maximize that distance but limb length and brace also help. Also the only time reflex does actually matter is when shooting without stabilizers. It changes the position of the center of gravity. With stabilizers you control the mass, CG, and moment of inertia. Lots of tournaments won with an ultra elite and xt3500s. Reflex geometry is only a part of what really matters. That’s how I’ve always modeled it.
I'm a Prime guy so I agree with you, but, I can see where his breakdown comes from. The untrue speed listing kills this series. 280-90s with my setup always makes me happy, and I always achieve it with Prime. But, show up on measured speed. The MFO score was still high.
