How about a pokemon with a 7th generation exclusive move, such as a Heatmor with Fire Lash, or a pokemon caught in a Beast Ball?

Another thing would be the Z stones for the z moves?

The moves show up invisible and glitched; blank, like the Item. Because the move isn't programmed into the game

About a year ago, before PKSM had all those checks added, I was able to transfer a Yungoos and a Torracat from Moon to Y.
They ended up becoming glitch Pokémon. They had Bulbasaur for their sprites, but they kept everything else. So my Torracat became a Blaze Fire-type Bulbasaur with Ember. They also keep their dex number, so they have dex numbers over 721.
I bet this will be trending in a couple of years

Actually, when the Pokèmon info screen says it came from a faraway land, it means that it was transferred from a different generation. So actually, it's not unusual that it happened.

You can put a gen 7 Pokemon in the box to transfer. Hit the blue button on the top right of the touch screen to switch boxes. It will automatically put it in the box. You’re welcome, :)
I've seen another video that he transfered an incineroar and at alpha sapphire it was an shiny bulbasaur with the same moveset, same ability and same lvl and stats

Actually I think if you press the switch Boxes button on the top right corner on the bottom screen, you can put the gen 7 Pokemon into XY/ORAS.
Yes you can, but the Gen 7 Pokemons will turn into a Shiny lvl 100 Bulbasaur cause it's the first Pokemon in the Pokedex, because it doesn't identify it's ID so it will turn into the first Pokemon, in shiny form lvl 100.

I think that Alolan forms are handled similarly to different forms, akin to Shaymin Sky and Rotom, hence why they can have different types and movesets while still being under the same id

You've just reminded me of a horrifying story from my childhood.
I had a Blue version with an official Mew from a Nintendo tour. I was trading between Silver and Blue and traded Haunter from Blue to Silver. Upon trading, Haunter of course evolved, but then learned Shadow Ball. Seeing as that wasn't in Blue version, the game spazed out, crashed and on restart, only "New Game" was present.
That hurt, and it still hurts to this day

That doesn't even make sense, once you trade it it would be reading data from Pokemon Blue so it would no longer attempt to learn the move because it would not exist in the learnset
I'm not doubting that you lost your save, but your Pokemon definitely did not try and learn a move that did not exist in the game
@128Gigabytes Well it did. Why else would I have gone "Wait? I thought Shadow Ball wasn't in Blue Version" so I looked at the Pokemon's stats, that was on the Silver Version, from the Blue Version and it just wigged out. It learned Shadow Ball on the Silver, not the Blue, but you can look at the other versions party. Out of ALL the glitches and holes in code and exploits and whatever else there are present is the original games, THIS is the one you question?
@@Rhys-Lightning That makes even less sense, you think your blue save file corrupted because of something that happened in the silver game? you're obviously remembering incorrectly because you were a kid when it happened, it sounds like your save happened to get lost for unrelated reasons and you think the trade did it
@@Rhys-Lightning Also its not a matter of if the games are glitchy or not, no one else has EVER reported an issue trading haunter causing issues, so your unfortunate save loose was unrelated

that message of traveling through space and time (or whatever) is the same one that you get if you transfer a pokemon from emerald to modern pokemon games (first noticed in or/as)

So that Pokemon Bank hack also lets you transfer your pokemon with items? As in, are you able to transfer mega stones from Gen 6 to Gen 7 with it?
Michael Reeder yeah it would definitely work. I can guarantee you'll get banned if you use them online though
When you say use them online, do you just mean battling, or does that include wifi trading, regular Pokemon Bank, and mystery gifts? I don't ever do battling or competition. I just play through the games and am working on the Pokedex (which includes mystery gifts and using Pokemon Bank to transfer from one game to the next). It would be fun to play through Gen 7 and be able to transfer my Rayquaza and Kyogre from AS to and from SM.
Michael Reeder I'm not saying that you won't get banned, but your chances of trading and getting banned are pretty low. If you're just using them in the game I don't see a way to get banned. Any online activity could be risky though.
Thanks for the video BTW. Just found your videos and am really appreciating them. Especially the one about transferring Pokemon from Gen 3 to Gen 7. I just got back into Pokemon about a year ago and am going through that exact process, though I'm starting with Gen 4 since they came out with ORAS. Thank goodness for that. Though I was curious what it took to transfer Gen 3 to Gen 4. That looked like a headache.
Every mega stone is already in gen 7 for you to buy with BP, why would you get banned?

(IMPORTANT)In pksm there’s a little button in the top right corner of the bottom screen that allows you to completely switch the box’s. Mean you could have all 6 Pokémon in alpha sapphire.
6:12 Speaking of that if you catch a pokemon with a Sun/Moon exclusive ball can you transfer them and then use them or will that crash the game too?

where did you by any chance find a program to transfer Pokemon from the new game to the old one?
I'm sure you could have pressed the blue button in the top-right corner of the touch screen to switch boxes immediately, so that the Yungoos and Golem would transfer. The Yungoos would certainly be a shiny Bulbasaur with Yungoos' Dex number, but I'm not sure about the Golem. Anyway, I'll check out the updated version now.

Depending on the games they turn into a Premier ball or a Pokéball.
I remember seeing something similar happen with the Gamecube games, where your balls turned into Premier/Pokés, depending on which version you used them in. I believe Safari balls also had something similar happen, as they were changed in Gen4.

What I bet is happening is that since every set sprite has it’s own value, when you enter an invalid one, it just breaks. I’m sure if you could find it out, you could easily start hacking a bunch of those values onto older version pokemon and continually transfer them forwards resulting in free stuff. I assume that the reason they can even do this though is because the 3D pokemon games work on the same engine, which is recoated, redesigned, and upgraded overtime.

I tried doing this with Pokemon Black from Ultra Moon (A Buneary first, then a Ditto with Pokerus) and it worked like a charm! The "distant land" is probably a place holder, as Alola places aren't in X/Y
But what about an alolan pokemon that hasn't reached their alolan form? Are they different from their regular counterparts, already?
And if it works, would they evolve?
For example, say that an Alolan Cubone has been moved, then evolved in a previous-generation game. Will it become a Marowak, or crash?

When you tranferred the foongus with the item you should test it in battle. You said that it cannot be seen in party, but how will it act in battle? Say its an item like leftovers ( and item that has a battle effect similer to left overs) you start a battle the mon comes out, but would the items effect activate? Would you be able to even start a battle?

What happens if they have a new move, but on an old pokemon? I take it that it'd just crash when trying to view it, similar to the items.

What would happen if you attempted to move a Pokémon that learns a specific move exclusively in Gen 7 back into previous generations?
Beat the elite 4 with the lilipup so it gets the badge thing, will it still transfer?
So if Alolan forms only happen it Alola, then the forms are essentially one-and-done until they do remakes? Or are future games gonna have like a Bonus Stage at the end that's like "A small archipelago on the outskirts of what is considered the Alolan Islands"? Or are they implementing some sort of copout method?
I know Ultra Sun&Moon are coming out but at some point they'll leave Alola.

Have you tried older versions of the Pokemon Bank tool? I remember using one way back which was way more bare bones. maybe it doesn't have compatibility checks?

ik this is 4 months ago but someone managed to get some pokemon into S&S using hacks and they did work. but not all of the pokemons data is in the game so the ones that werent didnt work :C. hopefully gamefreak and nintendo learn that they cant give us lying excuses to remove pokemon and end up adding them back in the next game. even if they dont add another generation, everyones hyped for a Diamond, pearl and platinum remake.

You can put eggs in Let's Go. They show as eggs but can't hatch.

There is a "Switch boxes" button in pksm
That way you can put any pokemon in any generation!

i saw a video apearantly you can swap boxes in PKSM and it will be weird somone swaped a clone shiny incineroar level 100 and it became a shiny level 100 bulbasaur with a wormadam cry in ORAS
Did you try transferring one with a move exclusive to gen 7 (such as a Sharpedo with psychic fangs) but otherwise should work
My question is what about Pelliper with drizzle or Gengar with cursed body would those not be accepted or would it revert their ability’s back to normal

There should be a button on the bottom screen that enables to switch the Pokémon in the box and bank, no matter the Pokémon.
