This is Part 3 of the rear end rebuild for an early B-body Mopar with tapered axles (1964 Dodge Polara). I install the seals into the housing, the carrier, axles, and set the axle endplay (shims).
Got give it too you for sticking with the old tapered axles!!. Yeah man I got a lot of homemade fixtures for my press don't overlook bmx bikes scrap the axle end pegs are a good source for making fixtures 😂
I have a 57 Belvedere. Do these have any gaskets between the backing plate and axle flange? I can't find any gaskets for these 57 8 3/4 differential. I'm in Australia but my 57 is from Georgia, I imported it.
