Damn, talk about nostalgia! I had this on Xbox and absolutely loved it. I was about 20 years old when I purchased it. I would come home from my part-time job and the first thing I would do is head up to my room, turn on my Xbox and play this. Thanks for the vid!
This entire game is so Beautiful in many ways. The characters, the music. The demons. The Weapons, Puzzles. All of it even added more into this game for Xbox nd I still say it's the best game till this day 🖤💯
I was today years old when I learned you could actually kill that damn creepy doll in this version of this classic game. I normally ran away from it whenever it showed up because it was annoying AF!
Currently replaying this on the 360. It's so superior to Warlords, and it's disappointing how little they did to the Warlords remaster when they had made so many changes for Genma. Still terrified of Japanese dolls. D-pad is killing me though. :p

Capcom should totally be ashamed for not remastering this version, instead of just giving us a "remaster" of the original PS2 version. I haven't played this version yet, but can you skip the cutscenes?

I remember owning the original PS2 version and it hooked me to Onimusha. Then I also bought an Xbox and got this version and oh boy, it was so much better! I also remember it was one of the first playable BC games on 360, where I finished it again but in HD.
@@MarketUnderground Higher resolution graphics, a new type of souls, new difficulty, and a few fixes. Unfortunately, they never released the rest of the games on Xbox. Just 3 released on PC in some territories. And the new (ish) remaster was based on the PS2 version and not this one.
@@johnsantos507 its based on the 2001 ps2 version, instead of the 2002 xbox version, and therefor lacks important gameplay mechanics, additional areas, enemies, items and difficulty. the graphics pretty much look the same as the 2002 xbox version, so no idea how they can even call this a "remaster". you also cannot skip the cutscenes, or edit the controls. if you play in windowed mode, the resolution doesnt take into account the titlebar and border of your window, so the selected resolution will always be smaller and have a broken aspect ratio. and last but not least, there is always a weird jitter during the cutscenes, which makes the characters shake like they are being electrocuted.

You can buy it on the PSN store or amazon easy enough. It will be called Onimusha: Warlords. Genma Onimusha is an updated version of Warlords but exclusive to the original xbox.

You were very stingy with using the magic powers of the weapons. It would be helpful full against the fake Samonoske 1:57:10 and the demon doll at 2:22:10, stunning her to escape
How awesome would it be if Capcom would bring Onimusha series back and make a new game and make it free roam like Ghost of Tsushima but instead of mongols invading it's Gemma and you go through all of Japan as Samanosuke Defeating Genma and they add a ton of hidden oni weapions across the world to find and add a ton of lore and insight to the Oni clan and the Demons.

This game was definitely an influence to Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, God of War, Fatal Frame and Sekiro, such a shame it's just too underrated. Onimusha was the real father of the 3D hack and slash genre but only thing Capcom does to honor it is releasing a remaster of the first game's vanilla edition. Really disappointing

I miss the Ogre Tower. I have Warlords and my cousin has Genma and I was always envious that he got that extra bit of content

Where does he get so much medicine. Damn. No wonder he was able to pass thru everything . he had talismans and medicine up to the wazu.
Yeah, he had no medicine at the end of Dark Realm, but then by the time he was doing the Ogre Towers, he had 8! How?!
He was probably playing on easy mode because on hard mode, you don't get any talismans at all and you mainly get herbs only
so much better than warlords. they really messed up the remaster. :(

No where near ninja gaiden. One of capcoms best selling franchises during the ps2 era. It may have tjat ninja gaiden look but its not.
