  • I've had some choice words on Toyota LandCruisers in the past, so when Lexus said I could review their ultra, mega, EXTREME luxury LX600 (aka better LandCruiser), I jumped on the opportunity.
Say g'day to the 2023 Lexus LX600 Ultra Luxury (no really, that is its official name). It's a ~$240,000 behemoth, with 4 seats meant to chauffeur the wealthiest of people around the world. It could also be used as your kids' favourite way to commute to school, the choices are endless. Today we are going to be taking a look at my favourite Toyota Landcruiser ahem I mean Lexus LX600, and going to be talking about what makes this thing SO INSANE.

    I felt that.
And for that, take it off-road because why not?

This Yankee really enjoyed this review of the LX600. Hands-down one of the best reviews and you kept it fun. You also drove it like I would have and demonstrated its capabilities nicely. Well done! Definitely! Grab a non ultra-lux model with 18" wheels and take that thing off-road. It'll make you proud!

Toyota and Lexus SUV are very durable and can easily cross million kilometers. Others starts to deteriorate after 100,000 or after consuming the warranty years. ❤🏆

The front is not my style. Side and rear are good. Body control is disappointing through the corners when you driving fast. Other than that it's hot but expensive. My favourite SUV is still the new RX 500h, Toyota rav4 - 2.5lr hybrid and Toyota corolla cross 2.0lr hybrid

Edit, nope, the interior is super daggy. That wood and metal and leather combo doesn't even remotely go together.. The wood in particular is hideous.. It's 2023, if you are going to do wood, you don't do it like that. Sorry guys I really hate it LOL. First time I have proper disagreed with you though, was bound to happen sooner or later. The seats themselves when not looking at the rest of interior, look great. So there's that.
This car goes to over 200 grand, and the Japanese just don't know how to do 200 grand "class". No way. Horrible, particularly when I saw the sticker shock.
Honestly? I prefer the interior of the new Nissan X-Trail Ti-L or top spec outlander. OK so the Japanese CAN do class after all LOL. But not in this. Toyota specifically have an issue doing nice interiors, I guess it tracks.

There are different wood finishes you heathen. Like this one. th-cam.com/video/5zcmGQIjiAk/w-d-xo.html
But I hear you. Lexus dropped the ball not bringing the LF-1 Limitless concept into production. But there is still hope with the upcoming Century SUV.

Now let me give a real review from someone one who has owned a 2014 LX for 9 years, and now the 600 VIP. What a useless pile of perfectly designed junk. The motor. Always seems like it shifts at the wrong time and at the top of the RPM range. Shifts are very crude and sticky and seem at the wrong time. Always sounds and feels like it needs to downshift but doesn't. Motor very underpowered and it lets you know all the time. Seats are very hard and uncomfortable, badly designed. If you use the fan to cool the seat it sounds like a shop vac on full power. Lane management garbage that you need to manually turn off every time. Cheap plastics that scruff at the slightest touch. Carpet so cheap that when vacuumed, loses the strands that stick out farther than they should. Bumpy and squishy ride no matter what the settings. The TV screens in the VIP model stick out so far back as to give the rear passengers claustrofobia. When you combine extra thick front seats, and smack a screen on the back that is out so far you know why. And about the vip seats. Garbage. The screen in the middle to control them is like the same type on the old LX and no one ever bought this SUV for that. Complicated to use. So all this and this after just 1000 km.
I guess reviews are worth what you pay for them.. Nothing.
