Destiny 2 - Did I just drop Heavy Ammo?

This video seems to be getting a bit of traction! Anyways, first time I've witnessed this happen but it seems to be a glitch arising from use of the Heavy Ammo Finder mod.
How the mod works is that a counter is increased (up to 100%) by a percentage each kill and a multiplier dependent on if it was primary, exotic primary or secondary. After it reaches 100% the next kill drops a brick.
My best guess is that I was that next kill 😅

Sorry for the multiple failed attempts at killing my character at the beginning there! Not flat enough ground for the nades. I was regenerating sword ammo, which worked, just not in the way I intended!

you can also turn yourself into a ball with the relic

Yeah, I'm just finding out all these extra quirks! Never had it happen myself but this is the first time I've noticed an ammo brick drop from myself.

I mean, I could try. As mentioned in other comments and after talking with people in r/raidsecrets I genuinely think it's a bug stemming from use of the Heavy Ammo Finder mod. This is the first time I've witnessed it to happen and I can't see much use for it especially in raids when banners exist and also when you can regenerate heavy ammo more efficiently with a sword. But who knows? Perhaps there is an unforeseen benefit as can often turn out with random bugs!
Edit: or you can have the fireteam run 2 heavy ammo scout mods and a finder.

I had this happen in a custom match against a friend after going on a long streak

Are you sure it was a Finder brick though? (they glow a lot more). Obviously it's perfectly normal to drop heavy in pvp if you are carrying it. Or do you mean your friend dropped it after killing him and he wasn't carrying any?

@@madbeef. no. I had it clipped though I lost the footage since its on a different device. nobody had picked up heavy and he dropped a glowing brick. It does not have a distance counter like normal bricks.

Yea killing yourself in various ways still price things. Like if u have on firepower and die to your own grenade it’ll spawn an orb. Lol
