I learned more about how the Bible came about with this video than I have ever known in my entire life. This is one of those that will have to be watched many times. So much information in these words.
They are ignorant liars. You learned stupid.
Please view the video "How We Got The Bible " here on youtube - extremely interesting and worthwhile to view!!

Do you need a job to keep your time better occupied?
Perhaps time on helping needy people ... there are unending needs. That's how i got inspired to go to tech school for the medical field ... volunteering at a hospital when my job ended bcs of the company going out of business. I ended up with an unexpectedly satisfying job, good money that allowed me to support my child myself and (with sacrifice of usual family niceties such as weekend trips away from the house or eating out) carpool her 22 miles away for a Christian school and extracurricular activities).
It-s incredible how much GOD will bless uou IFCyou 'love the Lord with all your heart.....and soul, and your neighbor as yourself." (Not speak/ write down at them) Seek Savior Jesus with all your heart while you still breathe. He PROMISES He WILL be found.

I lived in northern Italy and Sicily in 1981. I think it was in Sicily that I was told by Catholic women that the church didn’t allow them to read the Bible themselves. They also had to buy things from the church in celebration of different holidays or they’d lose their salvation. It took years for young couples to save up to be married in the Catholic Church b/c even a simple ceremony was so expensive & the people in this area were poor. I’m not trying to criticize the Catholic Church; I imagine it’s changed by now (and I doubt it was like that in other countries and areas back then). But the mention, in this video, of how common ppl weren’t allowed to read the Bible brought these memories back.
Interesting comment.
Those women, however, we're commenting on local marriage customs, not requirements of the Catholic Church, which, truth be told, eschews so much of the pomp and circumstance of modern weddings.
Normative marriage in the Catholic Church requires a priest and the couple. Period. The only cost would be a "stipend" to the priest--to the laborer go the wages (1 Tim 5:18).
In a serious pinch, the man and woman can marry each other (as in "Braveheart"), since they are the ministers as well as the matter of the Sacrament. The priest is actually the Church's witness.)
The few handwritten Bibles in those years would cost the people their lifetime earnings, and many people of those ages do not know how to read and write. Opening the Bible to laymen brought us 8000 plus Christian denominations who don’t agree on few words or passages. Giving every John and Doe the Bible was like opening the door to the Tower of Babel, we are talking of the same book but we don’t understand each other. Everyone who had read the fruit of the tree (the Book) thought he has learned how God works and think.
Men of Pride. We don’t know how much more were unpublished in the old copies of Didache (the writings that preceded the Bible that we know today); they are in the libraries of many monasteries under Catholic Parishes and out of reach to just any Peter and John.
This fact escaped those who claims ‘sola scriptura’ as the sole basis of their Christian faith.
@@yanayoriginals8498 thank you for the information. I recently learned that there are actually 45,000 Christian denominations worldwide, and rapidly growing as groups break off from the churches they’re attending b/c they don’t agree w how that pastor is interpreting the Bible - so they start their own church. That number doesn’t include all the “house churches” that are springing up everywhere. I’m grateful to have been led to the missionaries over 40 yrs ago and how that has blessed my life. I love that I can attend church anywhere in the world and the doctrines taught are the same wherever I go.
The Catholic church is the whore of Babylon fulfilling Daniel 7:25. The Protestant churches are her daughters. There is only one true Church and its members are described in rev 14:12.
There's no W or J in ancient Hebrew. The tetragrammaton is correctly YHVH pronounced yahovha.
This is the most comprehensive video I've ever watched about the history of the Bible. Ìt is truly a blessing and has helped me to appreciate my Bible a whole lot more. The bit at the end about the symbols etc was a real eye opener. Thank you very much for all your effort in putting together this invaluable information. God bless you richly.
Thank God for His Holy Word❣️❣️❣️
This was absolutely fascinating. Great work, very well-organized, articulated, and thorough.
You don't know how much that means to me. This has been a labor of love and I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
Take a look at the samarians same story s I think they are writing on tablets of clay baked
A question do you think Gutenberg who print the first bible
I have been studying this area a long time. You really did an EXCELLENT job!!
Thank you!!
Great resources!!
Great format!!
By the way years ago I did buy the Thomas Matthew Bible from the site you referenced.
They did a great job on this Bible. I felt blessed to have one.
I believe that seeing all these Bibles come forth answers the question, "....as long as it is translated correctly."
Years ago I used to wonder how that statement could be made. So I studied it.
Thank you Brother!
Wow - that sounds amazing. I am growing a pretty good collection so far but I'm looking forward to more in the future. I'm glad you liked the presentation. The more we studied the more exciting things there were to find. It's a rich subject. The more you learn, the easier it is to see the Lord's hand in this work.
Those great men of did a very good job, I honor them, and they in glory now.
Those great men of God did a great job of translation of the Bible into our languages. Had they not translated it we would have not having the Bible in our hands. Wonderful and excellent work.
I think of the scriptures like a masterpiece painting. If you look up really close to the painting, you just see splotches and blobs of paint, but if you stand back you see the beautiful masterpiece. If you look really close at the words of the bible, you might 'splotches and blobs' of words, mistakes or miss-translations, but when you stand back and look at the scriptures as a whole, you just see a beautiful image of Jesus.
Having spent some time working with linguist as a missionary with native Amazonian tribes in Colombia and Venezuela, I can appreciate the effort involed in Bible translation and word/phrase selection. This documentary helps us understand the immense investment of time and energy, the scholarship and research, required to bring faithful translations of the Bible into the vernacular language of a people. Good job!
I appreciate you.
All Glory to GOD'S infinite Wisdom to protect the Dead Sea scrolls in caves for 2000 years ! The book of Isaiah is almost a perfect translation word for word to today's version, as are many other scrolls that were found !! The Bible is the living Word of God --- Heaven and Earth will pass away , but my words will never pass away !!! Matt. 24: 35 . Please read the Gospels of Jesus - * John chapters 10 - 14 ( trinity ) . Ask Jesus to give you spiritual wisdom to understand his word , Ask and you shall receive - I Know it has worked for me ❤🙏.
Shame on you for wiping out (or attempting to or for being part of a community that attempts to) native tribal cultures.
@@ChessCat1500 OK, ChessCat1500, so let's have a discussion about this. My first question to you is a simple one. Have you ever lived among a native tribe of Indians in the Amazon? A native tribe anywhere? Not one partially assimilated by a surrounding culture, but one in their natural and inherited culture?
I had absolutely no idea how complicated the whole process was! It gives me a new perspective that I will remember each time I pick up a Bible.
Yes, the whole story should be taught in schools so that children learn to appreciate what it took for them just to own a Bible.
@@user-xq2zn8bu9q I completely agree.
Praise and thanking God for those dedicated people worked and gave us the word of God as it is today in many languages
You have calmed a restless spirit...comforted a frightened child. You are immensely appreciated
That's really excellent, truly great.
This is such a great job thank you .
We could see God throughout history using people on different ages continents languages and eras to bring his message to humanity.Having the Bible in our hands today and be able to read it is such a miracle by itself.
Truly to be thankful ,I was waiting to know of how we got the BIBLE N THE JOURNEY THE WORD OF GOD HAD TO GO THROUGH TO REACH US. JUST CAN'T THANK GOD ENOUGH 🙏
I had no idea how much opposition the printing of the Bible has had for public use. What an effort by so many determined and chosen people. And Thanku for all your preparation to open my understanding. Love it 💞
What is so telling, is the effort to preserve and convey the truth vs the effort to deny and shut it down. If the Bible did not contain God's word, there would be no fight against it.
God promised to preserve His Word (Psalm 12:6,7).
This was fabulous. It makes me cry to think of how blessed we are, among all the people of history, to have the scriptures at our fingertips. My 10th great grandfather, John Robinson (1575-1625) was a theologian (and father of the Pilgrims) who studied the scriptures extensively. He believed the Lord had more to say to mankind, and that it would be given in America. Your lesson has made me appreciate the text he studied.
I cannot overstate how well done this video is! A labour of love! May the Lord bless you and this video. Thank you so much
I second that!

It has been an incredible journey studying the topic. Glad you like it.

It’s a pure miracle we have the written scriptures
Amen!
I guess. With translation errors and certain people putting in and taking out what they see fit based on their own agendas and biases, we need to Take that in account as believers. We are not a cult, so we shouldn't act like a cult when it comes to the scriptures. We should worship God, and not the book.

I really enjoyed this documentary. It was so interesting to learn about the different translations and their origins. An excellent production. Thanks so much for sharing this. Well done!
I know it's God's word! Because His Spirit speaks expressly through the passages😊
That's a fact brother😊, little clues left in Roman's help firm up my faith that we have the whole council of God, e.g. we have 27 books in the N.T. Canon, and Paul the apostle sent greetings to 27 people in Roman's ch 16😊, then 5 send greetings with Paul which could be symbolic of O.T. books in some way?
Thanks for including the timelines. Great presentation! Will listen again with pen in hand.
I am totally amazed!!!! I sent this fantastic video to many friends of mine , some of them pastors, theologians, Bible students. Its been 5 days and not one responded about how they liked it.Most of them are retired.I ve watched it twice already and plan to watch it many times.

Samarians just take a look they did not do their research very sad
This is my absolute favorite of the your ones I’ve listened to. It hooked me enough that near the end I switched from podcast to TH-cam for my first time with you guys… and I’m hoping to find time to watch it from the beginning now. There is just so much I wish I could retain! Another podcast’s (possibly a different episode of yours- I listen to so many it’s a blur) explanation of the King James process had already enlightened me with a newfound appreciation for the sincerity behind “as far as it is translated correctly,” that this whole long history here just amplified that so much. It will change how I read this year. You’ve also reawaken long forgotten curiosities from my linguistics minor, and at 2 am I had to talk myself out of reading more pages of really old bibles (haha). Thanks! This was a LOT a of work
Seriously, every translation you mentioned sparked me thinking “I want to read THAT one!”
That's great to hear! Between you and me, this one is my favorite too.
Wonderfully rich information. May the Lord Jesus bless the team for this work, Amen

Excellent job! Thank you for this well researched presentation.
This history of the bible has incredibly been tried, and tested with fire and proven true - particularly as it relates to the many translations and the many lives that were sacrificed to help bring the word of salvation, to peoples of the world.
It would seem then, that in light of the pressing of the word of God , and the intense oppositions and sacrifices of human lives that gave birth to what we have today ; the revelation of the word of God by the Holy Spirit is not only imperative but is extremely important .
For indeed, if there seems to be any lack, error or deliberate misgivings regarding bible , the Spirit of Jesus Christ is more than able reveal the Truth of God to those who seek Him.
I find this portion of history of the bible most interesting, informative and stirring .
Thank you.
This was spectacular.

Thank You guys, very interesting and educational as well as to understanding where abd how we got the Bible, now i know. God Bless.
Thank you :) this is an awesome and quite a detailed and extensive teaching resource (including the links and bibliography & notes as well is so helpful!!) for a layperson to utilize in order to learn and understand the history of just how GODs (יהוה )hand (All praise to The Most HIGH YHWH!!) placed HIS WORD (this is HIS story after all ❤) in a format so that HIS children (HIS lost sheep) would be able to have the instructions we need so that we are properly equipped to travel life’s path. HE has chronologically throughout history made sure that we had the instructions since Adam and Eve left the garden hasn’t HE? Such a kind, clever, merciful and loving CREATOR that we serve. May YAH bless and keep you for helping to share this invaluable knowledge with others ❤
Your word oh Lord is settled forever in Heaven .

Well presented. It is good to see that Mormons are learning more about the Holy Bible. When I grew up in the church, the Bible was pushed onto the back burner while the Book of Mormon and D&C were the only standard of truth. I was told that the Bible was corrupted so there was little emphasis on it even though we had the Joseph Smith translation. This presentation is very informative.
Hahaha. "The Bible is corrupt! Read this book that some totally not corrupt guy translated from metallic plates using magic stones in a hat!"
I don’t know what church you went to, but that has not been my experience with the Bible in the restore church of Jesus Christ. I have always loved and revered the Bible.
