  • In this overview video, find out whether you should switch to Microsoft Edge. Edge has been innovating with many unique features that you won't find on any other browser. You can use the immersive reader to focus on the content that you care about. Edit & annotate PDFs using text, drawing, or highlighting. Create collections to help you plan a vacation, come up with gift ideas, or work effectively on a project. These are just a few of the features that we look at today. I've been a long time Chrome user and recently switched to Edge.

Yeah, because I stumbled onto a coworker's private file that way... With Edge and 365 (and also Windows), none of your file is private by default, most settings are very loosely focused on convenience instead of privacy.

If I was a techer I would tell my students never to use a browser they cannot access. If a student asked me what this means, I would point out at the fact that browsers which open up in small windows and refuse to expand are dead search engines. Dead search engines, exams and assignments should not be recommended as tools for education.

I always try to use the in built apps of my devices. So I have been using Edge for a long time now. Back when it originally launched it didn't have extension support so it was a no no for me but when it got extensions I started using it. It was okay for quite some time but the performance became really bad overtime. After the chromium version launched I switched to it after a few months and am happily using it since. I miss the quick set tab aside feature but the performance it hugely improved over the last engine. Some new feature needs to be improved but I think that will happen overtime as they always take feedback on those features.

@@metinhesenov Don't worry, Edge will suck those data when you go through it's repeated setup process. Microsoft is nuts that every update, which occurs every week weeks, would make you re-run part of the setup. It acts like a tutorial but really is the window where it rests all the privacy settings back to being in an activated state.

Hello Kevin! I'm a silent viewer/subscriber here. Thank you for this great video! I've been using Edge but only to read news from MSN which pops up whenever I tick on it in the taskbar. But after watching your video, I think I'm gonna try to use it, especially with my work from home. I can see that it's going to be more useful with all the tools and features you've shown here. Thank you so much! 👍😉

I uninstalled Chrome two years back. I never feel that I miss some features of chrome. Edge is faster than chrome and it has lots of features. Also, Edge is less RAM hunger than Chrome. I Love Edge browser.

    Good afternoon Kevin.
My laptop just can't run that fast, it takes 10 minutes to start an application.
Can you suggest something or make video on increasing speed and running it smoothly because it becomes irritating when we have any important work to do.
    Plz tell 🙏

Replace its RAM and replace the hard drive (if it has one) for an SSD drive.
      That should properly help. :)

Open the bottom cover, clean the dust, add some thermal paste on the cpu, install ssd, more ram. Transfer os to the ssd.
Disable startup programmes, disable telemetry, disable superfetch(sysmain) after installing ssd.
      You are good to go.

      For increasing laptop speed
      It depends on you
      Minimum ram should be 8gb
And still your laptop is hangin
Just remove cd loader and replace it with SSD

I made the switch a few years ago when they made the update to Chromium based. I honestly love it. It really feels faster. I have a pretty beefy computer with an 8-core processor, 32gb of ram and a RTX 3080 but I still feel it's faster than Chrome overall. I actually use the read aloud feature a lot especially with longer articles. It allows me to multitask while still consuming the article. Great tips!

I use Firefox as my number 1, Go To browser.
I also used to have Chrome installed, but Google becomes more and more icky.
I now prefer Edge as a secondary browser, but that is not saying much, because Firefox is active almost all the time, but Edge perhaps once or twice per day.
