1. i started a community...how can groups find me???
2. 1 x community can hold 50 groups of 1000 users...does that mean you build a community of 50 000 people?

New members can they only be in the community without been a member of any whatsap group. Like they only interested for announcements only
I've created a community group with chat groups A, B & C. Whenever chat group A people text each other within their own chat, it pings a message notification on the community group instead of their own chat group A. This can be confusing as it gives the impression that the message was sent to the community group by admin. And implication is, all the ppl may be concerned if their messaging activities are also seen by others. And then also when there’s a new message on a group, you open the community first and then the group chat. How to get the individual chat groups' text stay out of the community radar and appears only in their own chat groups?

how to I allow chat between all the people in a group? I set up a small group and they are asking me to allow them to submit chats and they are not able.... I have an Apple.... I have watched a bunch of these videos and no one addresses this
Some questions: Joining a community is still based on a phonenumber, right? So when I make a community I need phonenumbers from all members? Or can I send invites by email for example?
And when I add members, can they see phonenumbers from other members like in the WhatsApp group option?
Why I am asking. I wanna start up a community with different groups for workshops. But the members/clients don't know each other so I wanna take care of their privacy.

Question - What is the situation about people seeing peoples numbers from other groups that sit within the community?
Just slightly concerned about setting one up and the privacy settings. If someone is in group A can they see that Group B exists? Can they see the posts in Group B, can they see the members in Group B?

Can you post from a camera or tablet feed directly to a WA group, Conmunity Announcement or indeed to a Channel (which I am currently using)
Can people chat within the group and post things? I want the individual groups within the community to be free and open for people the post things? Does it have to go through an admin within the groups?

can whatsapp community admins hide their phone numbers from the members. I don't want my phone number to be available to thousands of people and whatsapp would not let me create a separate account with Google Voice
So you that means whomever you add to a community has access to all the groups on the community? For instance if it’s a group and you have say a management group on the community , anyone on the community can got on that group?

Im trying to find someone who had been posting videos on TH-cam, but he switched to Whatsapp. The TH-cam channel was called Pet Goose George. Is there a way to search for him using Whatsapp. I'm assuming that he uses the same Pet Goose George name in Whatsapp. Thanks.
You can add up to 50 groups not 500.
So I have multiple groups for my online coaching business. If I add them to a community I don’t want people to be able to choose a group that they can join as I’ve specifically put people into different groups. I also don’t want people to be able to see what goes into individual groups unless they are a member. Is this possible?
Very helpful thanks Meg 😍. I just created and used my first community for Scouts adding in about 15 WhatsApp groups. Took a little while but worth the effort because now everyone receives new information at the same time as each other. I also used the QR codes to create an info graphic to make joining effortless.

i created test 1 n test 2 groups but in drop down menu i selected communities (android right hand side) but it does not show New Community or add Community. How do I make a community and announcement?
are you perhaps using a whatsapp business account? businesses aren’t able to create communities
Hi Megs, thank you for the info, very exciting as a school headmaster. A question I have is, can you have a closed group in the community that noone other than the invited members can access? If i have my Leadership team on it with information that shouldn’t be accessible by anyone outside of the group, is this a possibbility? Thank you again.

I would love to use this to better organise our school parents! If we created a group for each classroom, is there a way to "lock" the group, so only members of that group/parents of that class can see and access that chat?

Hi there, thank you for your post. Just as a matter of interest can I use the Community/group set-up as a way to follow threads and discussions.
Eg. I have run an online Bible Study and and currently using Google Meets and then I use my WhatsApp group for announcements and also discussions but as you would imagine it its difficult following threads of different questions asked and the discussions around these?
I remember a few years back coming across an app that was specifically developed around that scenario but that app has since disappeared like the disappearing messages 🤷♂

It looks like a "Group" function. Create a new group, add some users to it, & then message the group & everyone in the group gets the message. Is there anything more to it than that?

#feelingold If I am creating a community from scratch, and groups from scratch, would I start by adding my members to the group? Would they then by default be members of the community? I obviously want all members to receive the announcements, which ever group they are in. Or do I need to add them to the community, then they decide on the group they want to join?
For a second i thought it was a feature like a community on reddit that gives the possibility to meet new people. 😂
Great video! I have multiple groups which have some members overlapping (one or more persons are in more than one of said groups). If I create a community with these groups, will the overlapping members just receive one message or will they receive the same message the same number of times they each overlap from the different groups?

2. And you mentioned adding groups in the community on your tutorial with +/- 500 groups who administrators all of them or can you make admins as the creator
3. I like the group video function that will really help
1. There is an announcements channel where only Admins can send messages so they are not buried beneath all the reactions of people afterwards.
