That was a fantastic game and funny win. Ben’s bits are always funny to watch no matter which team he is on. Hope y’all are having a fantastic New Year and I look forward to more Blood on the Clocktower in Minecraft
Sometimes watching these games makes me feel smart. Like I know that I get all the information and I know every role. But like when I’m listening to the information given to people I’m like “oh they should be able to conclude from this that this is the result” and instead we waste 5 abilities checking Ben when we know he’s evil.
So why didn't Boba get killed like Sophie did at 38:57 ending the game? She clearly says that she is cerenovus'd to be a lycan while the cerenovus power is in effect, "i was cerenovus'd and so i had to say today that i am the lycanthrope". But seeing as no one is saying anything in the comments about it i assume there is an answer i just dont know so please inform me if possible, i dont know any external rules of anything just what they have explained in their BotC videos so far. Edit: And why did they not want to kill Ben who they all knew was evil the 2nd to last night makes no sense, the evil team gains nothing from Ben dying to my knowledge and just limits Ben to a single ghost vote, instead they waste a ghost vote to tie the Ben vote. I AM CONFUSED.
The Cerenovus's ability is "Each night, choose a player & a good character: they are "mad" they are this character tomorrow, or might be executed." Every time the word *'might'* is used in a character's ability, that means it's up to the Storyteller's discretion whether for it to happen or not. If Boba died from breaking madness it would've ended the game right away.
Blood in the Clocktower games with Tom need Nilesy to balance it out. Tom always seems to see the truth of everything in round 1, whereas Nilesy often ends up helping the demon.
In any world where Ben was good (that I could see at least) Boba is the demon If Ben was good that means that RT is either the Drunk or the Fang-Gu and just lying, however he cannot be the Drunk as he would have been jumped to instead of dying. So he is the Fang-Gu, and Pedguin is the Drunk so that he could see a dead evil player as good, however this means that RT must have jumped night 2 and so, since Ravs the Lunatic is already dead that just leaves that Boba us the Fang-Gu Also, I would 100% have lifted off of Boba if I was the demon there, convincing everyone that I'm a minion is far more satisfying of a victory then letting them think my minion is a demon, and they will probably lift onto a ghost because of it (like they do in this game)
Bam! Another great video, always happy to see Tom on the Main Channel. P.S. As the Ojo, it seems the best play is to always guess the wrong role. That way, the storyteller chooses the most important town role each night to kill since storyteller has evil bias.
Storyteller is meant to make it a close game. Which means the storyteller isn’t *always* going to help evil. If evil start running away with it (which is a little difficult to do in an 8 player game, but still) then leaving it up to the storyteller could backfire and give good more useful information to help reel evil back.
The Storyteller has an Evil bias as a rule of thumb, especially at the very beginning where they're greatly outnumbered, but ultimately they're supposed to help the team who's losing the most. They're like a DM in D&D, really.
The storyteller is advised to choose a bad kill for the evil team when the Ojo picks a not-in-play role. The storyteller also should not have an evil bias per se. They should be aiming for a balanced and interesting game. The evil team arguably starts at a disadvantage so the storyteller starts out more supportive of them.

Especially since lunatic has always been picked which while it is a good content role. A scrpit like this with a lot of info would of really benefited from the poisoner or a drunk..
Yes I think an extra player or two would make the game a lot less ‘scripted’. More chances for evil plays and confusion and chaos. Plus a couple games have clearly ended sooner than they expected.
I almost feel bad for Sophie on that first day. She didn't realize one of your invisible helpers was tracking her too. At least she took her punishment with grace. Also is that how the lunatic works with the Ojo? They tell a character but the demon is told a player?
The wording for Lunatic is "Wake the real Demon, point at the Lunatic, show the Lunatic token to the real Demon, and point at the players that the Lunatic chose. Then the Demon acts as normal." My understanding of this being specific that it says player means you'd tell the Ojo the player, even though Ojo picks character. There's no clarification added on the wiki, but character vs player is an important distinction usually.
@@tigrafale4610 One of the rules of this game is that players are never compelled to say anything they don't want to say. Breaking madness, whether by refusing to be mad or skirting around it by telling people in secret, is a perfectly valid way to play. The fact that the Storyteller may not execute the afflicted player(s) gives it quite a bit of utility as a bluff or a disbelieved truth, since being executed can be confirmatory. Admittedly, it is tricky to play with, particularly with extremely new players.
@@fulldisclosureiamamonster2786 yea but then she should expect to be executed. Also there's claiming in public and claiming in secret and the latter is not really in the spirit of the game imo.

Really enjoying these videos. But I do think these games would benefit from having more players and thus an extra minion and maybe outsider. Especially since lunatic has always been picked which while it is a good content role. A scrpit like this with a lot of info would of really benefited from the poisoner or a drunk..
Yea I feel like 8 is pretty much the bare minimum number of players. It's much more fun with a few more.
Yes I think an extra player or two would make the game a lot less ‘scripted’. More chances for evil plays and confusion and chaos. Plus a couple games have clearly ended sooner than they expected.
Very impressive from the town. Very, very impressive.
Being a member so worth it because of these
26:29 Pedguin!
I'm always amazed by Tom in these videos. He susses things out so fast!
Ravs underrated MVP of this episode but gg Tom for being the steadfast leader
Blood on the clock tower is the best series
Tom's time as a detective really plays well into this.
If this game doesn’t prove that Tom is the yogcasts best BOTC player, we are living in a simulation
Then the Demon acts as normal."
My understanding of this being specific that it says player means you'd tell the Ojo the player, even though Ojo picks character. There's no clarification added on the wiki, but character vs player is an important distinction usually.
Then she shouldn't be trying to circumvent the rules lol
@@tigrafale4610 I said almost.
Also there's claiming in public and claiming in secret and the latter is not really in the spirit of the game imo.
i need a game with Tom and Zylus being "forever demons"
11:49 I can't believe how quickly this round went crazy
Then saying ojo wrong was hilarious 😂😂
Last time I was this early RT was still the Drift King
We never get to hear what Pedguin's thinking in these videos
55:54 This is exactly why I became a member, for these games.
