i read the description wondering how long the "ben thinks he's a lunatic" would go, and then was delighted when he tried it on the first night and tom told him he was crazy lol
Tom's level of astute deductive reasoning is second only to basically every fictional or real detective of passing half-competence in all forms of media...but he's certainly the finest mind in the Yogscast.
Nilesy, finding out every night that he's still the cannibal: oooh this is such a good play! Kirsty, picking him every night just to fuck with him: what
It’s not really a good strat, Nilesy just threw over and over again by not giving his information first day, while he was being executed, and even still not doing so while he was dead and wanting no one to be executed that night anyway.
@@imdadirtydan It wasn't throwing, by telling his information unnecessarily it would make it impossible to execute the demon on that given day, he did his best to try and imply his information while still allowing the town to try and vote out the killer. Also, regardless of what he wanted at the start of that trial, it is always valuable to let accusations fly as it garners more information from how people choose to accuse and vote, waiting as long as possible allowed for the greatest chance of getting important info while preventing unnecessary town deaths. The only time he gave in was when he was absolutely certain the vote would not go the way he desired, which was an equally reasonable play. As for when he was being executed, as stated, everyone was talking. Likewise, the storyteller could have just as easily said he Couldn't say more because his execution occurred immediately upon saying he was mad.
I love that if he just broke madness day 1 and presented info, he'd have a confirmed Noble with solid info out there, removing poisoner from the board, and a rallying point for info to gather. Also, that Kirsty accusation of Briony was SO risky. That it worked out how it did feels like 4D chess, but it's ALL MEMES
Seriously. Earlier that day he said to Osie that he didn't think she was the drunk or demon when she died. Which means that her ping on Briony or himself was accurate and since he wasn't bad, it must be Briony. Yet he was just focused on his "bad social reading".
Ohhh I see it was his noble info that made him think that. Not a shoddy social read at all! So it’s because he knew that one of either Kirsty Ben or Briony was evil and the other two are good (or started good). And because he knows the minion is alive because he’s getting ceranovasd each night, that means two evil players are alive, and if 2/3rds of Kirsty/Ben/Briony are good then Tom must be evil. He hadn’t considered the fengu switch until Tom Ben and Osie helped him to believe
@@nibru-w8k That started to bug me a little at the end (not in a bad way or like some huge complaint like some people like to freak out over). It should have been Osie who pushed her info more because that would have settled all the information given. But Osie is so kind that she's willing to doubt her info because Nilsey was being so forceful with his info.

i loved Nilsey's reaction for the last night. "NO!! I should have told them.. smart play" while Kirsty is like "I know I could be strategic but nah, Nilsey again" it was indeed very funny
Just got to say hats off to Lewis for being an awesome storyteller. The epic plays of the village are good, but yet again Lewis, you just tie it all together and put a massive bow tie on it to make the whole story look and feel amazing!
Wow they almost got the execution until that Nilesy play! Too bad Tom was bringing down his social cred by writing about how smelly people are in books lol XD
Breeh saying Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch as his last word was frigging heroic. What a chad. Also, Lewis, please ban Nilesy from ever being able to say 'bad social read' ever again lmao Especially given his social reads were as effective as a catatonic coma victim.
Nilesy was going off of his Noble information but couldn't admit it because he was being cerenovused into claiming he's the Cannibal, so all he could say was that he was going off of a social read. And because he couldn't admit he was going off of Noble information, he couldn't properly corroborate it and realize it was outdated because of the Fang Gu jump. He played as well as he could, really.
@@fulldisclosureiamamonster2786 Yeah except he was being really forceful with it. He basically knew that Osie's information was correct but he was so hyper focused on his own info that he pushed away the answer that solves the whole game.
He knew he was being cerenovused every single round which meant Osie's information HAD to be correct.
SPOILERS Forcing Nilesy to continue the charade after dying was an S-tier comedy move, great move Kirsty 😂 And props to Nilesy of course for being able to still claim Cannibal with a straight face!
@@rythinpain That's not how the game works though, think about how people discover they are dead in the morning, so the storyteller clearly does not inform the victim.
@@drewpeacock9087 Right. Alternately if there is another storyteller or admin running things it could be telling them, but generally I think its not that bad of a slip up
Ben's big brain powers are almost unfair in games like this. His only weakness is that people think he's as bad at this as he is at fps, but he just immediately figures it out.
So in round 1 there were 4 good guys who were acting as roles they werent (lunatic, pixie, drunk, mad noble) and then obviously the two bad guys pretending to be innocent, so 6/8 characters in false roles. What a wacky game!
Such a good episode. Lots of great plays and deduction. Sure, some misplays, but that's to be expected. Kirsty making Nilesy a Cannibal the last night made me cry laughing.
These are SO GOOD, my favourite yogs content in like 5 years, please never stop doing these. That moment where Nilesy sacrificed himself, allowing Kirsty's game long play of making him mad to pay off and save her own life from execution was so cool, so many layers.
I think it's really cool that you make your scripts available. It's very handy if I'm a bit confused on a role, since I can consult the script for this specific episode. It's also good for if I find a group in future to play botc with. The roles available in this script have some fun interactions that seem to heighten the deductive aspects and provide more opportunities for "Aha!" moments.
Nilesy continues to be his own worst enemy, he had all the facts especially with Osie's info and decided to stick with his feeling instead. Edit: loved nilesy having to go backwards after outing himself, he played that off hilariously
I only realized at the end that it was his noble info that made him think that. Not a shoddy social read at all! it’s because he knew that one of either Kirsty Ben or Briony was evil and the other two are good (or started good). @@ribby9069 Yeah, Pretty much. Though being familiar with the game to some extent, I put together what he was doing with "social read" pretty quickly, but it was wearing on me for a separate reason. He was basically going "I'm totally the Cannibal and I'm going to highlight it every chance I get, because I must, but I'm also going to highlight that I have info that no one told me, but that I super know must be true every chance I get." Had I been playing with him, my immediate thought(again, knowing the game somewhat) would've been, "Okay, he's mad. He's pushing his role super hard?" followed by, after several further mentions of the Tom thing "So why does he also keep pushing this 'read'? Is that actual info he got?" Not sure how a storyteller should handle that(I've heard some say they'd execute, as they are indicating strongly that they are lying about their role and other indicate that it'd fly, because it's not explicit, or that it'd be case-by-case)/if it's an issue, but the way he kept pushing the idea that he "had a read" something felt not in the spirit of things/like he could've been a bit more subtle..
@@anklysaurus3790 yeah an athiest game basically covers this option - you have to nominate the storyteller. There is a rule that on Athiest scripts if the storyteller is successfully voted as the athiest and the athiest isnt in play - Evil win - so its not just something you can rule out day 1 by nominating and executing the storyteller either. Would work with this group and Im sure Lewis would do some wacky things with it if they did an athiest game.
Wow I can't believe they pulled that off. With four entire rolls thinking they are either a roll they are not or having to pretend they are a role they are not I cannot believe that they won.
nilesy being told ben was 1 of 3 evils nearly made him throw the whole game lol the one on one ben and tom had at the start made him SO CERTAIN that tom was evil that he refused to consider the other angles was really tense at the end there i really thought briony and kirsty were gonna pull it off! also nilesy being forced to be the cannibal all game is probably the funniest fucking thing that could have happened, very good episode
Definitely lost them the game. The proper Cere play here is to Cere the Empath as something on their script that is hard to come up with several days of info, then poke holes in it until they break madness on final day, but also forcing them to act against their prior information and deny it. Then bring up to town, to the storyteller, if their voting choice with one singular ghost vote "fits" an Empath more than whatever they were Cere'd into. A good Town will just say "Empath is cere'd, ignore them", but they can't "ignore" their ghost vote. That stated... Doing something for the memes, for the lulz, is perfectly good, too. If you always make the optimal play, that can be meta'd, so every so often just doing something for the lols is also a good strategic long-term choice.
@@falsnamae3511 that'd do nothing, nilesy would just tell the town he was mad and then it'd be obvious that the empath randomly changing their story is just the product of cerenovus, and voting doesn't break madness would've made a lot more sense to kill kirsty and then pretend to be the target of cerenovus and then tom and ben would still be possible bad guys
Honestly, by that point, evil was pretty cooked no matter what they did. They knew there was a fang gu so the second the highly suspected briony dies Ben would immediately fall under suspicion, so she couldn’t jump to the other outsider. She was stuck with the hand she was dealt and a confirmed empath gunning for her head.
I saw a comment about this on the previous episode, but I'd like to reiterate that it'd be especially nice to have some sort of indicator on screen for folks who have "two" roles (drunks, outsiders that become Fang Gu, imp bluff roles, lunatics and their "minions", etc). I appreciate the editing effort that goes into these, probably more than most; so I understand that something like this that seems small can be a tall order to have it fit on screen and with the preestablished VUI without changing things. I think it'd be worth it to try though, as it can be really confusing. Just my two cents. Granted, most countries don't make pennies, so my opinion is essentially worthless.
@@okonkwojones It's easy to do, especially when you have a Fang Gu, two (or more) outsiders, a Pixie, a Lunatic, someone's been Cerenovus'd, plus the bluffs for both the demon and the minion. There's a lot of roles already in the shuffle, plus the roles not in the shuffle to use as bluffs, so the viewing experience can be kind of unclear during those moments. Which is part of why I'm parroting the suggestion, everything else that's gone into the editing on this is clearly in an effort to help keep things clear for the viewers. Plus with their custom roles, a slight change in the editing to help keep the secondary roles apparent would go a long long way.
@flibberfrogman5508 Oh absolutely, but I also think it's important to emphasize that these things are desired by people. Seeing the sentiment echoed from multiple people also helps reinforce the idea it's a desirable change and would be worth the work involved.
Bit frustrating none of the evils were pushing Ben, and telling the town that the Fang Gu knows exactly who the Lunatic is from the start of the game and can easily jump into them at any time, which would make Ben way more sus than Briony. Fun game regardless.
It was unfortunate by the point that that came out, that they kinda knew it was Ben or Briony, so if Briony had died, everyone would probably kill Ben. Which is why I wish Kirsty had used her power on Tom, and making him say he's the Fan Gu. It would have at least been a 50/50 and woulda been funny to see how he'd rp that out
@@FluffyDragonThe difference is there, that forcing Ben to become a Fang Gu would also Rob the town of a vote whilst giving the Demons one extra. Kirsty and Ben + Briony Ghost vote could be a power play to try and delay a round. And let Ben finish the game by killing Tom.
omg, even though all of these episodes have layers and complexity, i think this might've been the most confusing one yet! even knowing all the information it was so hard to keep track of who knew what that I just decided to wait for them to explain it during nominations lol
nilsey pretending to be the cannibal is so funny to me. he just interjects every once in a while to say he is the cannibal. "I have the librarian information but I am still the cannibal as everyone knows"
Boba and the evil team really needed to push the idea that the evil team knows who the lunatic is and jumped to Ben. Saying nothing and not trying to come up with a story is why they lost.
That last day was so funny. Spoilers: I think the most likely way to win at that point is to kill kirsty and have nilesy point the finger at sharky and palp? Was a very entertaining game even though it seemed like evil was on the back foot almost right from the start.
Yes, killing Tom was arguably a mistake there since Nilesy was so Sus of that duo - although having said that killing the cerenovus would have ended Nilesy's madness making it clearer that Kirsty was in fact that cerenovus (since no one else would suddenly start claiming a new role - unless Briony did which would be big brain!) This game is hard!
There were no good choices for kills there. Killing Tom eliminates the suspicion Nilesy has. Killing Ben was not an option since it was known there was 2 outsiders so it immediately implicates Briony. Killing Kirsty removes the option of them killing the minion as a way to win and frees Nilesy. I think killing the Minion might be the best play. I wonder if Boba could have made a play where she admitted to be the Fang Gu. I can’t tell whether it would be better to say that she jumped into Ben or Briony, but I think it would be entertaining.
Nilsey is playing SUCH a dangerous game here. For those who don’t know-If you are mad about something (like mad about being the cannibal), the storyteller can decide to execute you if you do ANYTHING they interpret as even IMPLYING you are something other than what you are mad about. And, the evil players can tattle on you. Early on, he is using a lot of double speak things that if *I* were the storyteller, I would have killed him for it. (Which is not necessarily bad for him, as a info role)
Sometimes intentionally breaking madness to confirm info is actually a great play because it's one of the only bits of 100 percent verifiable information you can get. But it's a tough call.
I dont remember if other folks have done it and I just missed it before, but I appreciate that Kirsty was literally keeping all her lies/claims straight in a book so she wouldnt forget who she told what too. I absolutely would not be smart enough to keep track of that if I was bad
This is just consistently such a good series! You can also tell they've all gotten so much better. I was fully convinced they were going to lose until the very last minute.
This was genuinely one of the absolute best games of BotC. So much overthinking on everyone's part. I was shouting at my screen at the wild opportunities presented. Thank you for this game, y'all.
Originally wrote this as a reply in a specific thread, but actually, might as well make it more visible: Being familiar with the game to some extent, I put together what Nilesy was doing with "social read" pretty quickly. A lot of people seem to think it was guesswork or something, but it was actually indirectly playing off the info from being a noble. That said, it was wearing on me because it felt not in the spirit of madness. Madness is convincing people you are a role, but it felt like Nilsey was convincing people he was *mad* he was a role. He was basically going "I'm totally the Cannibal and I'm going to highlight it every chance I get, because I must, also, I'm going to highlight that I have info that no one told me, but that I super know must be true every chance I get." Had I been playing with him, my immediate thought(again, knowing the game somewhat) would've been, "Okay, he's mad. He's pushing his role super hard." followed by, after several further mentions of the Tom thing "So why does he also keep pushing this 'read'? Is that actual info he got?" Not sure how a storyteller should handle that(I've heard some say(in similar situations) that they'd execute, as someone indicating strongly that they are lying about their role breaks madness. I've heard other indicate that it'd fly, because it's not explicit/"they're trying, even if badly", or that it'd be case-by-case), but the way he kept pushing the idea that he "had a read" something felt not in the spirit of things/like he could've been a bit more subtle. If he'd said it once, or done something tricky, rather than repeating his line over and over, I wouldn't have minded, but it seems like if the Yogs weren't new to this pack, they might've figured it out real quickly.
I almost wish the ghosts were completely transparent and you could only "see" them by what *can´t* be seen through them like paintings and signs, its such a neat effect
I look forward to when the Librarian is the Drunk and sees a Drunk. Also when the Marionette is placed next to the Recluse. That'll be an absolute eye opener for them.
Been watching Yogs videos for well over 10 years and don't often comment but I have to say, these Blood on the Clocktower episodes have been absolutely fantastic. Long may they continue
It's been mentioned before but it'd be nice if the bluff roles (eg drunk, pixie, etc) had an additional overlay during conversations and the town meeting so we could remember who they think they are/who they' have to pretned to be. Just a small nit though, overall the production quality has been 12/10! So much work must be going on behind the scenes, thanks everyone for bringing us something so awesome!
Players are always given a choice with madness. The Cerenovus doesn’t “force” players to be mad. It makes it that they might be executed if they are NOT mad. Likewise, the Pixie doesn’t force players to mad either. It simply gives them an advantage if they choose to be.
Tom is a fucking mind reader. He's pressing his ear to Lewis's recording room door during the nights or something, how are his reads always so good? Fucking brilliant. Also Nilesy was hilarious. I was a bit nervous that he cancelled the vote right when they had the demon on the block but it didn't matter cus they put the pieces together the next day. Great plays all round Edit: also if a Cerenovus could pick themselves and reveal "I'm Cerenovus'ed" and end the day, nothing would stop them from doing it every day and ensuring their demon could never get voted out
Breaking Cerenovus madness only means you MIGHT be executed - it's Storyteller's choice. If you did it and got executed for it, you'd be dead and then unable to Cerenovus yourself any further. The only way to keep up the charade from beyond the grave would be if you had a Vigormortis for a Demon and got them to kill you - then you'd keep your ability (and also perma-poison one Townsfolk neighbour). Of course, you could always Cerenovus yourself, break madness and (hopefully) get executed for it, then spend the rest of the game claiming all sorts of random shit to make it look like you're still being Cerenovused. If you "break madness" and aren't executed for it, you can just say it's the storyteller trying to make you look dodgy or something.
...What would stop them is that the first time they did that they would be executed and die, and dead players don't have any abilities unless their ability says otherwise.
1:01:42 Tom arguing that he wouldn’t had missed the opportunity messing with Ben had me laughing! Honestly, this series is some of the best content on TH-cam imo
Why oh why did no one ask Briony about any of her other Fortune Teller info beyond Night One??!! She talked about "other pings" but I never saw her say them. Kirsty was a hoot with Cerenovus locking Nilesy.
It seems to happen a fair bit in these games, some people get away with not giving information or not 'trying to win' a little too easily. Boba after death was not pretending to help the good team, the same thing was true of Briony after the jump, which should immediately make both of them pretty suspicious.
I'm glad these are still going, even after spooky month has passed. Also I kinda thought Boba was a bit quiet towards the end -and wanted the good guys to win- so I hope she's feeling better
I think this game was deceptively tough for team evil. On the final night I hated the call to kill Tom but thinking about it all the options kinda sucked. A. Kill Tom, thereby clearing Nilesy's suspicion on him (with him still being Cerenovus'd he would know it couldnt be minion tom) B. Kill Kirsty, preventing her powerful ability C. Jump to Ben when she and Ben are clocked as the likely outsiders and Fang Gu targets almost certainly gets him killed.
I think the play would have been to kill Kirsty, and then pretend to be mad to be a different role. Making it look like Minion Tom changed targets after Nilesy's madness came to light, and that Ben was legit the demon. But that's a really tricky choice to make in the moment!
@@totallycarbon2106 Oh yeah, totally forgot about the no double jump, even without it killing ben is probably bad news bears for team evil. I think you're onto something with the bluff madness, definitely a really tricky line to find in the heat of the moment though.
Because the Fang Gu acts after the Cerenovus, when Kirsty dies any player she made Mad is not informed they are no longer Mad, they just wont be executed for breaking madness. So she could've kept making Nilesy Mad as far as he knows and kept Ben & Tom as possible bad guys to throw under the bus
sharky and palp for the win! nilesy always comes SO close to unraveling it all, second guesses something or someone, and pulls a 180, EVERY TIME. also the fact that he REPEATEDLY had to say he was a cannibal, and nothing more than your neighborhood friendly cannibal, totally definitely a cannibal! ... was top tier comedy.. which im going to credit kirsty for, especially cursing him even after he was dead! but really, everyone should have been sus on boba from the start, because she was being MAD quiet! i almost forgot she was even in the game! that in itself, ESPECIALLY as the demon, is a skill lol!!
What I'm learning from all of this, is that unless your role actually needs you to stay alive, there's not much reason to be all that secretive about what you learned. Nilesy got everything he could learn on night 1. If he shared that he was not the cannibal, he would have died, but could have given important information on what they were dealing with. (Unless he's literally required to pretend? But then why threaten him with death?)
If you're mad about something, you don't have to stick to it but there are usually consequences if you break it. If you're Cerenovus-mad as something, the Storyteller may choose to execute you if you break it. If you're Harpy-mad about someone, the Storyteller might choose to kill either/ both of you. If you're the Pixie, you only get the ability you were told about if you're mad about being that role (and if you were poisoned or something on Night One, you'll have been told the wrong role to be mad about, so good luck with that) but you could just out as Pixie if you don't feel like doing that. Meanwhile if you're the Mutant, being mad about being ANY kind of Outsider could get you executed (which at least can confirm you as the Mutant and therefore good). In this game, certain roles might have wanted to keep their info quiet, even if they were a Night One role - Fang Gu was on the script, so the Librarian could've potentially kept quiet about what they learned in order to not tip off the Demon. Suppose Osie had been evil? Breeh pulled her and Briony into a private chat immediately and told them both his info. If she'd been the Demon/Minion she would've immediately known that Briony was the Drunk and a potential jump for the Fang Gu. Even if the Demon wasn't a Fang Gu, leaving a Drunk "Fortune Teller" in play can be useful to sow some chaos as they get bad pings on people and try to get good guys wrongfully executed. Breeh could maybe have spoken to Briony and Osie in separate chats to subtly ask them about their role/info and see if they got anything that makes sense. The Yogs seem to be playing this as being generally very open and quick to share their info with multiple people very quickly so the evil team tend to hear about most stuff within a day or two anyway. Breeh could've also potentially kept his entire role quiet and maybe implied to be something useful to try and bait a kill from the Demon (so they didn't kill someone who gets ongoing info or whatever), but that might've made him look dodgy.

Wow they almost got the execution until that Nilesy play! Too bad Tom was bringing down his social cred by writing about how smelly people are in books lol XD
Nah it was the noble info that tricked nilesy- nothing to do with a social read
Thank you Kirsty for sticking to the bit. I am crying. So good. Sharky and Palp forever.
SPOILERS
Forcing Nilesy to continue the charade after dying was an S-tier comedy move, great move Kirsty 😂
And props to Nilesy of course for being able to still claim Cannibal with a straight face!
Lewis saying he'd "pass that information on" from Ben was an interesting choice of words lol
Yeah, easy to make that kind of blunder as a ST when talking with players. Luckily don't think it influenced Ben any further.
To be fair it could be interpreted as passing that info onto the person who is dying that the demon has just killed
@@rythinpain The person who died does not get told they died.
And Tom is an idiot savant who can just intuit solutions. The two of them together is unfair.
Deception exceptional, execution abysmal.
Man, it's been a shit week, but Ben beating around the bush how he is a cool guy had me loudly howling in my chair. This is amazing.
That moment where Nilesy sacrificed himself, allowing Kirsty's game long play of making him mad to pay off and save her own life from execution was so cool, so many layers.
lmfao at kirsty being like "why would ANYONE cerenobus Nilesy a second time?"
'I trust that you're the empath 100%.'
*1 bad ping off Nilesy and Briony*
'It has to be Ben and Tom'
I only realized at the end that it was his noble info that made him think that. Not a shoddy social read at all! it’s because he knew that one of either Kirsty Ben or Briony was evil and the other two are good (or started good).
@ribby9069 oh yeah I commented this before the end, knowing his info I do get it more
@@ribby9069 Yeah, Pretty much.
Is that actual info he got?"
Not sure how a storyteller should handle that(I've heard some say they'd execute, as they are indicating strongly that they are lying about their role and other indicate that it'd fly, because it's not explicit, or that it'd be case-by-case)/if it's an issue, but the way he kept pushing the idea that he "had a read" something felt not in the spirit of things/like he could've been a bit more subtle..
Nilesy taking a bullet to save the demon - hilarious
I feel like the only logical step for this series is to do one round where there are no evil characters just to see what happens
Town instantly wins, gg, the game is over because there is no demon.
Atheist game! :D
Nilesy was on the winning team despite being strongly aligned against them by the end! :D
Wow I can't believe they pulled that off. With four entire rolls thinking they are either a roll they are not or having to pretend they are a role they are not I cannot believe that they won.
nilesy being told ben was 1 of 3 evils nearly made him throw the whole game lol
the one on one ben and tom had at the start made him SO CERTAIN that tom was evil that he refused to consider the other angles
was really tense at the end there i really thought briony and kirsty were gonna pull it off!
also nilesy being forced to be the cannibal all game is probably the funniest fucking thing that could have happened, very good episode
Tom somehow stumbling into everything that is going on every episode is such a joy to watch.
Kirsty continually cursing Nilesy was such a god tier play. He was the MVP for the demons for going for Tom so hard, then 'wait it out' later on.
Best Yogs content in a long time. Happy to be a member to support this stuff.
It’s delightful watching everyone get better at the game.
Thank you Kirsty. It probably lost you guys the game, but picking Nilesy on the last night was the funniest shit.
Don't translate... 😠
@@falsnamae3511 that'd do nothing, nilesy would just tell the town he was mad and then it'd be obvious that the empath randomly changing their story is just the product of cerenovus, and voting doesn't break madness
would've made a lot more sense to kill kirsty and then pretend to be the target of cerenovus and then tom and ben would still be possible bad guys
@@bonyuki3872 I think the Fang Gu can only jump once, though, right? That's why Lewis had to make a correction in the previous Fang Gu game.
I can't describe how much I love the full script website, it's awesome lol. Also super excited to see this game, hope ben wins 🤞
Update + Small Spoilers:
Oh god he's Lunatic lmfao
Yep, I forget immediately who they think they are.
It's possible the advice has already been taken on board but there's just a delay in seeing it from these being done some time in advance.
@flibberfrogman5508 Oh absolutely, but I also think it's important to emphasize that these things are desired by people. Seeing the sentiment echoed from multiple people also helps reinforce the idea it's a desirable change and would be worth the work involved.
Kirsty was the comedy mvp of this video
Bit frustrating none of the evils were pushing Ben, and telling the town that the Fang Gu knows exactly who the Lunatic is from the start of the game and can easily jump into them at any time, which would make Ben way more sus than Briony. Fun game regardless.
I'd never even thought of that! You must be quite good at these sorts of games
@captain_britain I love social deduction games, but BotC is still new for me
It was unfortunate by the point that that came out, that they kinda knew it was Ben or Briony, so if Briony had died, everyone would probably kill Ben. Which is why I wish Kirsty had used her power on Tom, and making him say he's the Fan Gu. It would have at least been a 50/50 and woulda been funny to see how he'd rp that out
@@FluffyDragon The ability only forces you to claim good roles, so no Fang Gu.
Something very weird like mayor, however...
Gotta admit, I was hesitant of the roles which forced people to pretend to be another role but it did end up being very funny.
omg, even though all of these episodes have layers and complexity, i think this might've been the most confusing one yet! even knowing all the information it was so hard to keep track of who knew what that I just decided to wait for them to explain it during nominations lol
The fact that Kirsty could have just made Tom or Ben change their story but still went for nilesy
nilsey pretending to be the cannibal is so funny to me. he just interjects every once in a while to say he is the cannibal. "I have the librarian information but I am still the cannibal as everyone knows"
Boba and the evil team really needed to push the idea that the evil team knows who the lunatic is and jumped to Ben. Saying nothing and not trying to come up with a story is why they lost.
The Tom and Ben dynamic in this is great.
That last day was so funny.
Spoilers: I think the most likely way to win at that point is to kill kirsty and have nilesy point the finger at sharky and palp? Was a very entertaining game even though it seemed like evil was on the back foot almost right from the start.
Yes, killing Tom was arguably a mistake there since Nilesy was so Sus of that duo - although having said that killing the cerenovus would have ended Nilesy's madness making it clearer that Kirsty was in fact that cerenovus (since no one else would suddenly start claiming a new role - unless Briony did which would be big brain!)
This game is hard!
I think killing the
Minion might be the best play.
I wonder if Boba could have made a play where she admitted to be the Fang Gu. I can’t tell whether it would be better to say that she jumped into Ben or Briony, but I think it would be entertaining.
Kirsty picking a double-dead Nilesy again was the funniest goddamn thing I've seen in a while
Nilsey is playing SUCH a dangerous game here.
Nilesy’s final day conversation was hilarious. Him trying to communicate through the constraints of madness 😂
I love that simultaneously Tom is great at the game (figuring out the lunatic) and terrible (never remembering who said what).
I never ever comment on TH-cam videos but I just want to say this is my favourite series in years and I love it
This series is SO GOOD! Love it
This was genuinely one of the absolute best games of BotC. So much overthinking on everyone's part. I was shouting at my screen at the wild opportunities presented. Thank you for this game, y'all.
Originally wrote this as a reply in a specific thread, but actually, might as well make it more visible:
Being familiar with the game to some extent, I put together what Nilesy was doing with "social read" pretty quickly.
Is that actual info he got?"
Not sure how a storyteller should handle that(I've heard some say(in similar situations) that they'd execute, as someone indicating strongly that they are lying about their role breaks madness.
Aw they're not broadcastung this one "live"? Last time was great fun interacting with Yogs and other members.
1 hour 22? you spoil us
GODS YES, I've been counting the days!
Boba's intro to this series being the demon is perfect lol
Saying that you're an "empty husk of a capri sun" is wild and I love it so dearly, gonna add that to my daily vocabulary
One amazing game after the next, this was brilliant
Imagine if Kirsty had told Nilesy to be the Librarian that last round, making him have to do a pixie play and forcing Tom under suspicion
I love that Ben almost always gets wrapped up in a confusing mess. Either the people he trusts are lunatics, drunk or poisoned or he is.
This is my favourite series, by far. The drama just makes it so good.
Great plays all round
Edit: also if a Cerenovus could pick themselves and reveal "I'm Cerenovus'ed" and end the day, nothing would stop them from doing it every day and ensuring their demon could never get voted out
Breaking Cerenovus madness only means you MIGHT be executed - it's Storyteller's choice.
I'm curious to see a game with the actual Lycan in play actually. Would be interesting.
cant wait to rewatch these in 5 years when ive forgotten the outcomes
Why oh why did no one ask Briony about any of her other Fortune Teller info beyond Night One??!! She talked about "other pings" but I never saw her say them. Kirsty was a hoot with Cerenovus locking Nilesy.
It seems to happen a fair bit in these games, some people get away with not giving information or not 'trying to win' a little too easily. Boba after death was not pretending to help the good team, the same thing was true of Briony after the jump, which should immediately make both of them pretty suspicious.
immediately telling tom about what ben’s role was so freakin funny, right away ben has almost no idea what his actual role is 😂😂
I'm glad these are still going, even after spooky month has passed. Also I kinda thought Boba was a bit quiet towards the end -and wanted the good guys to win- so I hope she's feeling better
This is honestly both the best gaming content and tabletop content that been on main channel for really long time.
im so obsessed with these videos, they're always so entertaining and really set up everyone for a perfect mix of comedic gold and logic
HUGE props for nilesy being so committed to being maddened
This game in general is like 70% false flags and I love it.
Nilesy was absolute gold pretending to be the Cannibal on that last day.
I love that the videos aren't cut into smaller parts!
I think this game was deceptively tough for team evil. On the final night I hated the call to kill Tom but thinking about it all the options kinda sucked.
A. Kill Tom, thereby clearing Nilesy's suspicion on him (with him still being Cerenovus'd he would know it couldnt be minion tom)
B. Kill Kirsty, preventing her powerful ability
She also couldn't jump to Ben - Fang Gu can only jump once. (The yogs admitted they made that mistake last time they recorded a game with the Fang Gu)
Meh its funny though and rythian won somehow @totallycarbon2106
@@totallycarbon2106 Oh yeah, totally forgot about the no double jump, even without it killing ben is probably bad news bears for team evil. I think you're onto something with the bluff madness, definitely a really tricky line to find in the heat of the moment though.
Because the Fang Gu acts after the Cerenovus, when Kirsty dies any player she made Mad is not informed they are no longer Mad, they just wont be executed for breaking madness.
So she could've kept making Nilesy Mad as far as he knows and kept Ben & Tom as possible bad guys to throw under the bus
It's crazy how every round of this game has been more complicated than the last.
sharky and palp for the win! nilesy always comes SO close to unraveling it all, second guesses something or someone, and pulls a 180, EVERY TIME. also the fact that he REPEATEDLY had to say he was a cannibal, and nothing more than your neighborhood friendly cannibal, totally definitely a cannibal! ... was top tier comedy.. which im going to credit kirsty for, especially cursing him even after he was dead! but really, everyone should have been sus on boba from the start, because she was being MAD quiet! i almost forgot she was even in the game! that in itself, ESPECIALLY as the demon, is a skill lol!!
I'm obsessed with this series
Love the metal gear solid alert sound when breeh guessed correctly about boba
I loved this episode so much! Keep em coming
The thought process behind this is amazing
Incredible episode. This series is amazing.
This has easily become my favorite series. Thank you for the awesome content and being the best group of creators.
Another banger episode, hope y'all enjoy
Nilesy almost snatching defeat from the jaws of victory second to last day
how the hell did Kirsty and Briony NOT vote for Tom that night?!?!?! That would have won the game!
Just started the video, I want to explain: For anyone wondering, fangu adds an extra outsider. That is why there is 2.
just when i was about to leave for work i saw this uploaded.
ive got something extra awesome to look forward to when im home!
