AKC website states “ do not give dogs cooked bones of ANY kind” not just chicken bones. Only offer dogs raw bones.

Its because cooked bones can splinter easier and get lodged in their throat or cut the stomach. But so can raw bones and its more dependent on the breed and age of your dog and how they chew.
