I agree with what you’re saying, especially about women making themselves a priority and taking care of themselves. I just don’t understand why we only place the burden of looking good on women. Men age and gain weight and very little is said but a woman is expected to look like she’s 25 forever.

Stacey D. needs to make videos for men! Hearing from a woman's perspective.

For what it's worth as probably the only guy whos subscribed, open communication is key! Look I've made my share of mistakes in my last relationship and have paid for it. (Not cheating related) I'm learning and these videos definitely help me get a female perspective. Keep them coming Stacey!💯👏

Communication is not the Answer... Comprehension is.

I agree!! I always tell my bf it’s about understanding what I am saying! Literally can say so many things, exactly what you feel, but if they do not understand it, it means nothing.

100% agree with what you said. It’s important to love ourselves and put in effort in our looks.

Yesss!!! I’ve been seeing so many TikTok of women showing themselves before their partner and after and tbh it just makes me sad bc how can you let yourself go so much? I completely understand the heathy relationship weight but going from a size Xs to XXL is not healthy. Now the marriage is not only the one impacted but yourself. And so many people hate on those comments. But we really have to take into consideration the health problems that come with that. And I truly believe that as a women you should try and look your best, not for your husband but for yourself, bc yes we are supposed to love and care for ourselves before we can love others.

It’s like you knew what I was going through girl, my bf and i had this conversation last Thursday . He literally told me “how come u don’t dress up like u did when we first started talking” and I quickly got offended.. but i realized he had a point and Im changing some of my bad habits

I agree!!! When you start dating a man and you're feminine / get ready/ have a certain body type obviously he's going to like that. Men are visual creatures and their partners looks MATTER!! I don't think this is the same for women tbh, because we care more about actions and being taken care of. I personally think that "letting yourself go" aka when you stop being a feminine woman/ looking attractive to your partner that is the equivalent of your man no longer taking care of you/ providing/ protecting/ treating you kindly etc..

Oof that’s a hard pill to swallow but I get what you mean it doesn’t excuse a guy being disrespectful. But it is a way to save the passion and love in the marriage/relationship for each-other.

My husband reacted to a dress I recently got. He said he liked it bc it looks like what I used to wear when we first started dating. Then it made me compare the woman I am today to who I was, and I realized that I don't put effort in dressing as cute, sexy, fun. When I was single I did. So, I got the hint. And I've been trying to bring my sexy back (jt pun always intended). Then I picked his brain about it too. Bc we all have cycles in our lifestyles and sometimes they're not cute cause you're just busy. But I think it's important for us women to always put effort in our looks bc it just makes US feel good and it feels good to be wanted by our man close to the way it was when we first got together.

I wouldn’t leave my partner if he told me he needs a little bit more effort by me “getting dressed” or “done up” like I use to. I agree, routine and life can get in the way and it’s easy to “fall through the cracks” especially when you’re married. I’d take it as effort toward the relationship and although I’d be hurt I know it’d be toward a better marriage and overall relationship with my partner. Thanks for this video Stacey. Very reassuring and heart warming ❤️THERAPEUTIC if you will🤩

Ladies it goes both ways. What you did to get them, keeps them. If he looked a certain way or was so catering in the beginning and stopped, we would feel a way. Love is t a feeling. It’s action. It’s all about intention too. Do u have to look runway ready daily? No. But it shows self respect and love for him to even put on leggings, a tank a cute bun and mascara rather than stained plaid PJs. Remember, it’s not one sided. U should speak up to lovingly if he strays from things you appreciate.

I would like to see a video for the other way around. How would one tell your male partner if it’s something you didn’t like about them either it be physical or way they do things? I know the best thing is communicating but it’s so awkward especially if the person has always been that or done that but how could you ask or suggest a change.?
