    You need the bar extenders to put those grips on stock bars. And need to tighten the screws till the clamp butts up against itself. I’d bet you’ll like them. They’re great on my 90mph+ GP.

      I ended up ordering the same grips but used the end clamps that came with it and they work great! I originally used a different end clamp and that's what failed.

    Glad you're all right!! Back when I had my ski I could slide the back end around and that's how I liked it. lol

    Sounds like you decided to continue using the ODI Grips based on a comment reply in here (glad to hear). However, as a PSA I wanted to point out that you MUST use the Riva bar end adapter on the factory bar to make it round(not hex shape). If you do not use these, the ODI or Riva grip end clamps WILL NOT work/clamp correctly causing the grip to possibly fail like this! Unless you didn't show the part I'm mentioning in the video you installed these incorrectly and may still not be correct if these round adapters weren't purchased.
    Happy riding! 🤘

    The grips looked good. Sorry the test run didn't go as well as you would have liked. Catch you on the next one.

      Too bad, I really liked the feel of them. The main goal was to test the sponsons which worked great!

      Thanks JD! It was still a successful day. Got to ride all day and the sponsons worked perfectly, although I did adjust them up one notch, LOL.

    What a fall! Can't believe that grip came loose. I think I saw a gator in the background. lol

    The 2 degree was what my Kawa needed.

      It really made a difference in the midrange. It also helped getting the bow up.

    Yikes Tommy, glad you’re alright man! Tough brk w those grips on the first trip out…not cool!!!!
    Do those sponsons do anything for low speed handling or just up on plane? I had no idea these things existed for skis….2cool!

      @tommytsadventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Marc, could've been worse! Those grips were recommended. I won't be using that brand again. The sponsons help with traction during turns. I didn't really notice them at low speeds, but medium to high speeds you better hang on!

    Any results of the pump wedge?

      I haven't installed it yet. I'm hoping to do it this week and test this weekend. I'll definitely post the results.

      It was totally unexpected. I think it was the aftermarket end caps that failed. My new set works perfectly!

      What new set did you get?

    • @tommytsadventures
      @tommytsadventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@surfer8210 I read all the reviews on the ODI grips and there was nothing but high reviews. I ended up getting the same exact grips but didn't use the Riva End Caps. That is what failed. I used the end caps that came with the ODI grips, and it worked perfectly.
