- Brilliant takeoff. Lots of Channel 9 chatter after the crew announcements. It's too bad the crew made the announcement right after takeoff. Just curious.. Does the "channel 9" ATC feed also carry the trans-oceanic HF ATC comm also, once the flight is out of VHF range?

probably put his recording device right up to the little headphones. they actually produce sound at a decent volume like that

Smog was really bad when I was there. Then again, China makes everything, so I'm not sure what they can do.

even in HK, I don't think the ATC will use cantonse to communicate with a native HK pilot

I can`t believe that PEK ATC would use Mandarin communicate with China pilots
Mandarin is one of the icao languages, the others are English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabian....

The 747 does not have any individual entertainment system, the cabin is pretty outdated! They only have projector screens in each cabin...with boring movies....
why weren't they speaking English on the ATC? That's the universal language in aviation.
They were speaking a little bit of English.
You see in different countries except Japan they use their native language when talking to an aircraft from that country
