  • In this video we check out the Jim Thorpe Fall Festival for 2021. You'd be surprised how Amazingly beautiful it is this time of year. I arrived by train on the R&N Fall Foliage excursion. The trip from Pottsville to Jim Thorpe took just over 2hrs riding aboard the RDC Buddliner cars. Once we arrived we had just under 4hrs to explore the town and see what there is to do at the fall festival. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of vendors, food choices and entertainment that could be found around town. So come along with my friend Jamie and I as we experience the 2021 Jim Thorpe Fall Festival.

    What an amazing town, and even more special to walk around it with all of the fall festivities going on! Even though I live close to town, I always avoided it at peak times because of the traffic and parking problems. Taking the train in was a real game changer, and we got to enjoy the train too. So much fun to see your take on our outing. I'll be editing mine this weekend and posting it over (probably) three parts next week. Thanks for joining me that day! Hope to do it again sometime.

    I so miss Jim Thorpe and I so miss all the great things they have up there.
    I always love how they did their fall festival and their Christmas decorations, especially during December. All the Christmas lights and Christmas tree looks so beautiful up there. I moved to Jim Thorpe when I was 13 years old and then when I turned 17 years old I moved. Even though Jim Thorpe is a nice little town and he gets so many people to come to that little place up there, I still cannot believe how quiet and peaceful, also relaxing enjoyable it is up there.

    Upon seeing Cousin It, Think we might know where zz top got their inspiration LOL 🤣😂.
    Awesome video, it's great to see a place that gets into the spirit of celebrations like Halloween and Christmas.
    Do you ever have any issues filming people and places in the US?. In Australia there is so much red tape, and so many permits we have to get to film people in a public place and also issues filming buildings and signs. It's at a point that we have to ask peoples permission before we can film them, hence the reason it's hard to film in busy places down here. It's absolutely crazy and gotten so out of hand in Australia.

    • @JPVideos81

      Only time it becomes an issue is inside a business or on private property, but it doesnt happen often.

      @thebushtelegraph8865 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JPVideos81 Its good to know that somewhere still follows common sense and absolutely awesome that you have the freedoms you have for filming in the USA.
      A lot of the filming permits and laws came into Australia around 10 years ago and some laws as early as 2004 and it's plain ridiculous. But there is still no outline in many of these laws that reflect those vlogging for you tube in public places down here, which is annoying, especially with you tube being such a big thing now.
      Always thought of how much of a nightmare it would be filming a street with more than 100 people in view, having to ask them all if it's OK to film them, then by the time we get through them...another hundred or so are in view...LOL. we arent fully up on it, but believe we could put a sign out to say filming in progress, but it has to be visible enough for people to see it, but out of the way enough to not be a tripping hazard. And then there is public liability insurance 🙄🤔....phew...it's as much of a nightmare as the halloween displays 😱. So we opt to film in places where there aren't many people down here.

    • @thebushtelegraph8865
      @thebushtelegraph8865 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JPVideos81 ah huh, we did some research, and we are in luck, we actually checked under vlogging in public places in Australia, which for some strange reason comes under a different section to filming and photography 🤔🙄, we are actually able to vlog in public in Australia without seeking permission of others we may capture in shot while vlogging. Turns out its their responsibility to hide their identity if they realise they may be in view of being filmed. Still nothing clearly mentioned about monetising vlogging videos and permits required for filming vlogs within public places though LOL....typical for Australia where nothing is ever written to a point of making complete sense, but then I suppose we are on the upside down and bottom end of earth LOL🤣 😂
      And to tell you the truth, we would look like the skeletons in the halloween displays before we understand all the gobbeldigook written in Australia's privacy laws 🤣😂🤣

      With the added weight of the additional cars, it's less stress on the steamer on some of the grades.

    I don't understand why they have a steam loco plus 2 diesels to pull 9 or so cars!! A steam loco should pull that with ease!!!

      I believe it was 13 or more cars in total, but I believe it's to put less stress on 425. But I agree, it would look much better with just her as the motive power.
