@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors bummer, we all have those days for sure-especially with lake trout! I will be patient this summer. I never miss a video and re-watch almost all of them! Be safe and keep the awesome content coming!
MAC "I'm going to guide you into a rock" CLAYTON " You took me to a pike reef" 😂 Congrats Mac you played it well lol. Another fun video to watch even if it was a grind lol. A Northern Manitoba grind 30+ pike later 😜
Clayton big fan of you and all the boys. Me and my brother in law are going up to northern mn to chase big pike but on small lakes. We know these small lakes have 38+ inchers in them but we have struggled to find them. On a small hidden lake how would you go about finding the big pike. The lake is basicallly a bowl max depth 28 feet and bit of a bowl with a small saddle on both ends. Any tips on location or style of fishing would be great!
hmmmm likely those lakes wont hold a LOT of big Pike but they will hold SOME, the biggest thing will be just putting in a pile of time, casting high % areas... Like shallow flats 5-10 feet, if the lake is a big bowl another thing you could try is trolling the main drop of with some bigger baits, and you will likely come across a bigger fish eventually :)
Great video was at Viking lodge a few weeks ago great crew I’ll be back again hopefully next year fishing and weather was a little tuff but we got onto some nice fish and got a decent amount of eaters unfortunately lost my prop on the last day and they sent mac out after me and got me pulled in great guy I’ll hopefully be pulling the old Lund back up from ND next year

Awesome video but as a guy who stresses about good fish release you really aren’t showing a good example on how to release fish properly throwing a 24 inch walleye like it’s a 14 inch one you can do better releasing the fish put some effort in making sure the fish is being released properly

What are the dead minnows are you guys using. This must be a no live minnow lake. I tried to read the package but couldn't tell.
Yes, no live minnows ... angling use of live bait fish is not allowed in Manitoba's Northern Divisions.
Hey, at least the fish were biting, even if it was the wrong species 😂

Nice pike. Just imagined the biguns you would have caught. If you were trying to get pike.
OR!! Maybe we wouldn't have caught any of them because we would have tried the wrong areas :)
@ClaytonSchickOutdoors would have gone out for pike and only caught 30 inch walleye. Then would have to drink a case of root beer.
