This monster set is awesome! The kids are so excited. Have to finish the new layout now. My son has been asking all week to help make it. I did get it out of the box and run it some between the kitchen & daughters room. With all the cars it takes the who SPACE! You will love it!
Those railers are great for the kids! Any one with kids should get one... old kids too.

Great visit to Toy Trains and Collectibles to pick up that 'big box' you were waiting for, Chris! Really big consist in that set. I've never heard of such a train on any railroad before. Really awesome addition to your collection. I wonder how you'll plan to display it when it's not running on the layout. That's another video.

It's actually around 45.2 pounds lol I converted the kg on mine to pounds when FedEx dropped it off. Glad I ordered it, such a cool train.

You must be stoked with that train set. Like how you buy the whole set cheaper then piecemealing a set by far. I'd like to see a show on how many train sets you have. One day that would be pretty cool I will say it is an absolute beast. One more question are you waiting for any more pre-orders ? I am so happy for you nice job enjoy it. Congratulations on your latest aquisition Chris! And I saw your review of the Lionel Legacy SD45 in "CTT," well done! And tunnel clearance issues? I had that with a Lionel FM Trainmaster I picked up. No biggie, a few minutes work with a file and problem solved. (Relax everyone, I used the file on the tunnel portal, NOT the Trainmaster!)

Awesome set, the clearance car exposed some issues on my layout as well. I figure if I can run this set, I should be able to run just about anything in the future without clearance problems.

Pro-tip, if you glue a super small but high powered magnet at the base of the railer, it uncouples the cars as you put them on.
Lionel trains has turned into expensive junk. Once a reliable, proud company ... now a brand new box is opened and the truck falls off. It may be an easy fix. However the point is this: there should not be any fix necessary for a new item.

@@jimmytrains ya it’s pretty bad what they do. The only problem is, it’s to good to be true which Leeds to suspicion pretty quick.
What a useless train set. This is not the 1950s. You're not going to be putting together the rocket like a ten-year-old in the old days. As your Revenue train that would be something you would see once in a blue moon not on a regular everyday basis it's not even worth modeling. It's going to be a dud sales-wise and when the sets are sold at closeout prices then all the sudden it's going to be a collectible at twice the price no thanks
This set was originally a MTH rocket set highly collectable. Good luck finding one. Lionel capitalized on this added buffer cars and will be highly collectable. These are built to order so they will be scarce. Btw the rockets this sets represents are the boosters for the space shuttle not a 1950 rocket. "For over three decades, the solid rocket motors that have boosted the Space Shuttle and other American endeavors into outer space have been built at the ATK plant in Promontory and shipped by rail to Kennedy Space Center (KSC) at Cape Canaveral."
@@jimmytrains say that is the bad part people buying stuff on the margin taking it's going to be collectible. Collectors of people who have more money than sense because they play Silly money for anything and everything regardless of how much it is worth in reality. It's very expensive and it's pre-order because they weren't sure how many suckers would buy it that's why everything is pre-order now so you don't go into the train stop and look at something and examine it no you have to pay the manufacturer so he can have money to build it in the first place. If you have to preorder an item that shows that the manufacturers that have confidence in that item to make a lot job of it.
