  • This is a quick video of my newest layout addition, Menards Saturn V rocket and gantry. Describing this as “O scale” is a little bit of a reach. I decided to build a small hill to attempt a little forced perspective. I hope you enjoy the video, please feel free to comment.

    This is a perfect companion for the Lionel NASA train set from last year. That's how I plan to use it.

    Looks great on your layout! If my math is right for it to actually be in scale (1:48) it would need to be a little over 7.5 feet tall. I have the HO (1:87) version, it would need to be at around 4 feet tall.

    Love the rocket (I want to get one too) and the video but isn’t that a Saturn V rocket overlayed with Jupiter by Gustav Holst?

      Thank you for the compliment, and yes that is the Jupiter movement from Holst’s “The Planets” .
