Wow, this was a really enlightening way to explain how to express the light of Christ to people from different cultures. It makes perfect sense, really.
I love Christianity in its orthodox way, it's just perfect, the body of Christ ok earth. I want to learn more and more and be glad for all the love that God has manifest unto us. Thank you father for sharing with us more of the faith.
I like this approach to the concept of original sin!
A good example of the Great Commission is the conversion of the Alaskan natives.
We have many North American Saints from that Great Commission.

I have been a protestant for over 20 years and only recently even learned anything about the Orthodox Church. I see a lot of wisdom in perspectives in the Orthodox Church that I don’t get from Protestantism, however, I also see a lot of questions with orthodox theology, one of the biggest being the great commission. Seen how the orthodox church has barely spread outside the realm of the original apostles and how, I never even heard of it for 20 years.
Looking for answers, unfortunately, this video is easily demonstrable to be historically inaccurate .
First and foremost, take the speakers first example of protestant error in interpreting the great commission : the crusades. The crusades entirely happened prior to the time of protestant ism. The crusades were in fact directly endorsed by the Eastern Orthodox church in part and the western Catholic Church in whole.
With such an obvious and glaring error in what the speaker is saying, I don’t feel like I can trust anything else he said either
Likewise, I question whether blaming Christian missionaries for the boxer rebellion is true or accurate. It seems like you could also read church for the persecution by Nero.
And even his view of the orthodox church in China is false. He says there is no orthodox church in because of Protestantism. That simply isn’t the case. There is orthodox church in China and it has been there 200 years prior to protestant missionaries involved in the boxer rebellion. Chinese orthodox church is a product of the Russian orthodox church. It may not have any bishops but they’re about 15,000 members and a dozen parishes . Communism and not Protestantism has been the biggest hindrance to orthodoxy in China
