Late reply but no dark souls is not harder. Some would say its not even hard. Just requires patience and knowledge of situations. NGB on Master Ninja may be matched by some games I haven't played, but from experience Dark Souls is not one of them.
+Ethan Palmer Just keep playing man. NGB is all about learning the combat systems and unfortunately the only way to learn is by getting destroyed sometimes lol. Keep with it and sooner or later things will start clicking into place.

The times when he uses Ninpo: 2:50 Ninpo 1 11:00 Ninpo 2 12:20 Ninpo 3 13:45 Ninpo 4 16:00 Ninpo 5 16:12 He dies and uses a Talisman of rebirth and gets all 5 Ninpos back.
So how comes when doku uses the kitsu on Ryu , ryus health bar goes down and gets added to doku. Bu when Ryu does the same move the enemies life isn't added onto his.

I honestly don't see how this is possible without the low health UF. I struggled at this challenge even on hard. Look forward to trying it on Very Hard.
This challenge is one of the tougher ones in the game, you can abuse the platforms quite a lot though and make to really abuse the Kitetsu' health steal move. The low health UF is definitely the fastest way but due how low your HP has to be it's also the most risky.
0JoeButton0 On Sigma this challenge on Very Hard is just 100 Ogres. Very underwhelming, I don't understand the changes and why they lowered the time for the fiend challenges, many of them are impossible if things don't go 100% your way e.g. Peristyle Passage fiend Challenge. But conversely, the time that you get for Rachel's enemy encounters very often give you almost 10 seconds per enemy, which allows for a huge margin for error and yet makes it possible to get the time bonus.
I'm impressed with how strong the UF is on low health. After watching a lot of your videos, I came across a situation last night of facing Doku with a mere sliver of health. I had unlocked the UF, and felt like trying it out what I learned from your tutorials. Doku was down in 25 seconds. Holy crap!
This game is now BC on Xbox One. Had to check this crazy shit out. I passed this game on the hardest setting when I was younger. I always sucked with the wooden sword. You crazy! 😮
This game improved my finger speed. I learned how to kill with speed and accuracy. Only true gamers of this will know what I mean. Long live the ninja way.
The *Hard* version of this challenge seems tougher for me, all Ogres means you'll at least have 2 attacking you, making low health UF very risky (since their mace bash will remove health even if you block), as much as I try to manipulate the camera there is always one Ogre who tries to attack me after I'm already dealing with another, so *Very Hard* challenge having Berserkers on the mix ends up being benefitial for camera manipulation.
I remeber this chalange on very hard level. I tryed to fight only with katana. It was impassible to do. Now i see how easly you make this job. I'M impressed.

I nearly finished the game in ninja master but i had to sell my xbox, i still remember challenge mode, when i finally got a pc and i tried elden ring, i finally could tell how hard this game is compared to others, i mean they are hard, but ninja gaiden black and 2 are in another level, too bad the collection sucked was hoping to do a stream and see how rust i am, but this is probably my favorite type of combat in a video game

If you stick with it you'll get to a point where everything just clicks. I remember the first time I played MN I was dying every two minutes but as long you're learning from it you'll get better and better.
Yeah very hard is that first big leap from a game you can complete to a game that you really need commit to. At first I was having the time of my life trying to get past chapter 1 now I'm on chapter 13 trying to beat Alma, again! I am definitely gonna beat the game and take on master ninja.

+One3673241 Yeah it's the same for MN. The low health UF UT is the most powerful single attack in the game, the bulk of the damage in the sequence comes from that move.
+One3673241 Oh I see my bad lol. I think it's 3 >Y's and a UT with the DDB on master ninja. 2 will cause them to berserk and the third will kill. If I remember rightly though you can do it in two >Y's with armlet of the sun equipped if they don't block any hits of the DDB UT.

He's not modding, in fact this game is for the orriginal Xbox, and is back compat for 360 and one, that's pure skill you're seeing, you just have to really commit to getting good, and master the combat, know the enemies attacks, etc. But you won't be as good if you don't commit to it, it will take time and it will be hard, but you will improve.

If you try to just attack berserkers head on and not wait for their recovery windows then they tend to block you a lot. The only attack of theirs that can be counter attacked is the back swing when you're behind them. Just cause them to whiff and your attacks have a much higher chance of connecting.

If you mean the purple outfit then yes. What you need to do is save your game before chapter 3, then load that save and select the default black costume in the costume select. This will give you the purple outfit for the rest of the game.

Any save statue would work just as long as you do it before chapter 3. You only have to do it once but if you select another costume after that point you won't be able to go back to it.

If you're referring to essence I do that by holding in the left trigger (block) and then quickly letting go and pulling it in again very quickly. That way you can absorb one essence at a time.

That sounds much cooler than essence. I'm doing an on-landing absorb whenever I wind run (enemy jump) but you mentioning this gives me a good idea for a tutorial about this stuff as I realise it's something I do without thinking about it and tend not to explain it in videos.
Fun fiend challenge unlike master ninja which is very boring. But master ninja its useful for the spirit of the devils and very hard this challenge is worthless for just a talisman
This is not the Black version tho, It must be the original one for Xbox. You have the dark dragon Blade but still you didn't kill Doku, thus you didn't collect all the Golden Scrabs. That being said, very well played.
Meh not impressive when your health is low and you’re using the most overpowered weapon in the game spamming UT. I do this with the dragon sword/true dragon sword. Takes longer but it also takes more skill.

Yeah it is. As long as you can control the enemies on screen you can make things a lot easier to manage.

Giant Ogres and Berserkers did appear in Ninja Gaiden Black. But in Ninja Gaiden 1 did not.
Kinda figured that the Unlabored Flawlessness gains more attack power when Ryu's life is in danger...go figure...

what does it mean when the unlabored flawessness glows?
It signifies that you at the requried health to get the damage buff. When your health bar pulsates that means you will get the maximum damage boost.

You can come back here once you have the DDB if you want to, if you leave the encounter area though you won't get any points for the fight.

That sounds much cooler than essence. I'm doing an on-landing absorb whenever I wind run (enemy jump) but you mentioning this gives me a good idea for a tutorial about this stuff as I realise it's something I do without thinking about it and tend not to explain it in videos.
Fun fiend challenge unlike master ninja which is very boring. But master ninja its useful for the spirit of the devils and very hard this challenge is worthless for just a talisman
This is not the Black version tho, It must be the original one for Xbox. You have the dark dragon Blade but still you didn't kill Doku, thus you didn't collect all the Golden Scrabs. That being said, very well played.
This is NGB, I just did the challenge in chapter 15 instead of chapter 12 where it first becomes playable.

Meh not impressive when your health is low and you’re using the most overpowered weapon in the game spamming UT. I do this with the dragon sword/true dragon sword. Takes longer but it also takes more skill.
