She’s not a criminal! Just very mature in one way. Obviously a smart kid. She needs to be taught by her parents. You just don’t steal other people’s money! Yes to her earning some of her allowance from doing household chores. She’s definitely old enough for that.
This is what happens when there are no boundaries between children and adults. She thought it was ok, and that she did a great thing when she should have known better not totouch that car. She should have been too afraid to touch that car, let alone drive it somewhere!
This kinda thing happens “with boundaries” your statement is ignorant. It’s happened for decades. Not the first and won’t be the last. I had clear “boundaries” but myself along with every other woman in my family are bull headed and independent oriented. This is easily something I would have tried to pull off. I learned to ride our horses at age 2 and ride a little Honda 50 by age 7. Out in the country learning skills. It’s about teaching what’s safe, legal, and allowed. It has nothing to do with boundaries. I’m 40 and a mother of 2 my 21 year old was taught plenty of skills and when they were acceptable to be used. Got her her first bow and arrow and BB gun at 8. Most all the kids in our family learn to hunt by age 8. So she was a actually late to the game. My oldest never paid attention to my driving. My youngest would ask questions, what’s that light for?, what’s that do? And she followed roads closely knowing exactly what was what direction. Some kids are far more observant than others. I just can’t get over how moronic your comment is. Edit: a good song/music video for you to watch would be Alan Jackson’s Drive.
@@katttmandoo Agree completely (except for the name-calling parts). Kids are curious, adventurous, and can be...dare I use the word...cunning. No matter how well-taught and/or well-warned some STILL are going to "test-the-waters".

everyone who came in contact with this child was completely unaware and unbothered by the sight of a kid walking around alone. No one cares about any one it seems. I never thought in a billion years we would turn into this! All the wars and protests and suffering to get to this point? 😔
Umm not sure how old you are but - Gen X was raised on notes to the grocery store to get items for our parents and grandparents. It was so normal to see that. Or maybe people thought grandma or mom was in the parking lot and just sent her in.
The store part alone isn’t as eye-opening as driving the car. Kevin shops in a couple of stores alone Home Alone. I’ve also seen kids get a few items for their parent who is waiting in the car, or check out for themselves.
i promise you i do not go out into the world wondering which child has irresponsible parents at home. do you want to know what color underwear I have on too?
… who was supposed to be watching her, the car, and the money??? Why does this kid know where all her parents’ important things are? My parents definitely weren’t telling their 8 y/o where they kept significant quantities of cash.
We don't know the circumstances, but an observant and determined 8-year-old child that is oblivious of serious consequences finding car keys and cash in mom's purse is not impossible.
I grew up in the country. Cow fields , corn fields, apple orchard. Us kids learned to drive young. (only in the fields) Even a stick shift. very young. 10 Y/O. But I grew up in the 50s & 60s
That is seriously impressive. Not only to drive a car at 8 years old but to navigate 10-11 miles to the Target! I walked several miles to school and the nearest 7-11 when I was that age but I couldn't dream of driving my way that far to a specific location. As a parent I'd be both upset and impressed with my child!
While this is concerning, that kid is hilarious. Would have loved to see an interview with her. Glad she’s ok and no one was hurt. Hope everything is alright at home, sometimes it’s not a good sign when kids are forced to grow up too fast.
Kids…this beats my 2yo unlocking the front door at 6 am and walking across the street and knocking on the door of our secret service neighbor who called and woke us up…yes he’s alive and well and a parent today
😂😂 We live in the country, but several years ago my son did the same. The neighbor was just a gifted high school kid up for his early classes, but we were equally embarrassed.
@@LadieKadieI’ve had that happen to me because my home boys little sister accidentally locked herself out the house petting a stray cat and her mom was in the shower, I had to go to school so I let her in the house and my grandma held her and walked her back home where her mom was of course scrambling around for her she was like 4 so she was terrified
That’s because 16 year olds are smarter than 8 year olds, and can comprehend that cars are dangerous and shouldn’t be taken lightly. The 8 year old didn’t know/care that she could’ve killed someone that day
One of my kids is like that, and did that. Imagine being young enough to believe in Santa Clause and still drive a car to Target.
She figured out Santa when she was 3, I'm sure.

I bet that 8yo girl was a better driver than a lot of adults on the road.
Probably so
Probably better than my 83 year old father that’s for sure.
I bet she also parks btter than a lot of these a-holes too.
She hit a mailbox 😳🙄
@@crg5460compared to all other accidents of irresponsible adult drivers, hitting a mailbox is nothing.
I'm impressed as hell! How many times has the girl been to Target that she can remember the directions? Kid is definitely smarter than average! Got to see if there is a gifted program for criminals she can enter!
And she only hit a mailbox as well not bad
@@aubreypassey6086 Hey, that's better than many of the brain dead fools in my city.
She’s not a criminal! Just very mature in one way. Obviously a smart kid. She needs to be taught by her parents. You just don’t steal other people’s money! Yes to her earning some of her allowance from doing household chores. She’s definitely old enough for that.
Had me until criminals
The whole thing is sad. Shame on the parents. They should be investigated
wow, hide the keys ,she has lived this life before
In my day,we could drive tractors quite well at that age.
Less things to hit and slower speeds with a tractor.
I couldn't even walk alone to school at 8 years old.
😂😂😂
That’s just sad
Aside from the broken mailbox, I'm glad no one was hurt.

Michelle Tanner: My turn to drive the car.
Joey Gladstone: You know the rules, Michelle. Nobody gets to drive until they're 8 years old.
This is what happens when there are no boundaries between children and adults. She thought it was ok, and that she did a great thing when she should have known better not totouch that car. She should have been too afraid to touch that car, let alone drive it somewhere!
She could have been killed or killed someone.
I would be afraid of touching my mother's car and I'm 38. Those are some irresponsible parents by giving a little girl so much freedom.
Psychopaths are born

Wow! The fact that an 8-year old was smart enough to do all of that is viciously hilarious! 🙌🙌😂😂
What 8 yr old knows how to drive that distance ? How'd she get the $400 . What kind of park job did she do ? I have so many questions
Probably well to do parents who have little time for her.
it's how the parents raised her
This seems all innocent to some, but what if? What if she ran your sister, brother, mom, etc.....down. Someone needs to be accountable, ahem...parents!
Like in Springfield Ohio 👀
Exactly, she stole money, stole a car, illegally drove it and put herself and others in danger for selfish gains. She needs to be taught some values.
Seriously they should be fined at the very least and charged with child endangerment
I don't like my sister brother or mother so it's cool
Yes. Her parents should be criminally charged.
No discipline she's taking people's money driving illegally
everyone who came in contact with this child was completely unaware and unbothered by the sight of a kid walking around alone.
When I was about that age-maybe younger-my mom would let me go unsupervised a few aisles down from her. So it’s not unheard of.
Probably asleep, parents sleep too….duh
You didn't just know living there and all? Weird.
some kids are too smart for their own good
it was her babysitting money
SOMEBODY taught her to drive!
Yep
I grew up in the country. Cow fields , corn fields, apple orchard. Us kids learned to drive young. (only in the fields) Even a stick shift. very young. 10 Y/O. But I grew up in the 50s & 60s

That urge to shop is strong!
It’s 16 miles. I looked it up.
Wow. I’m impressed she could actually drive that far.
She had determination! Glad she’s safe.

I didn’t know how to drive a car at the age of 8! I thank the Lord for keeping her safe on the road.
For keeping others on the road safe, too.

Blame the parents
She was so busy she forget to leave a note about where she went.
Why is everyone in such a hurry for children to grow up
The parents need to have more conversations with their 8 year old… taking off without permission, stealing money, and stealing the car is WiLD 😅😮🤔
It's downright dangerous. Thankfully she only hit a mailbox. She could have killed someone.
A judge or children’s services need to have a talk with the parents!
I can’t believe she can drive all by herself she must have a old soul Glad she made it safe to her destination I’m very impressed

Driving is a huge responsibility. Should make you pause. Momof Ellen killed at age 28 by a driver on his phone
I don’t blame them. Driving these days is risky.
That’s because 16 year olds are smarter than 8 year olds, and can comprehend that cars are dangerous and shouldn’t be taken lightly. The 8 year old didn’t know/care that she could’ve killed someone that day
I’m not even mad, that’s really impressive.
One of my kids is like that, and did that. She never walked, she started marching with determination at 9 months of age, potty trained herself and her first sentence, at 9 months of age, was screaming "Bug Off!" to her sister. I was startled, thrilled that she said her first 2 word sentence, scared to death that we had a very long road ahead, and we did indeed have a very long road. That's why I don't judge parents.
Yeah, been there, done that. I know how you feel!
