Be Grateful to have a place/program like that...here in America they ignore those with severe mental issues and put them into jail/prison and they get no mental help 😔 some dont belong in a jail/prison either, and on top of that it only makes their mental health even worse. -❤-
@@sparkyfister you know you don’t have to be born with a mental problem to end up in a hospital without your consent, your mind could just decline, or maybe even not your mind,maybe you hurt yourself and couldn’t take care of yourself and had to be put in a facility to be cared for, Would you think then “Oh I hope someone deals with me.” “I hope they don’t have the attitude I had about, me not having to deal with them.” Hopefully nothing ever happens to you where you have to rely on someone else, but it’s always a possibility, learn to have some compassion for others. Your comments make you sound selfish, and I’m sure you must be a better person than that.

I feel sorry for the mental patients that have a hint of reality, and none of their family comes to visit them, so many in America have autism and are connected to their parents but because of their mental capacity can’t understand that they do something wrong and are sent to a mental hospital and then are never visited. The loneliness of not having their family and all alone and not understanding must be devastating to them. So sad. I understand that some people know right and wrong and need to be kept away from society, I’m speaking of the ones that don’t understand, and only know the familiarity of their family, but then one day they are taken away and don’t get to see them anymore. Being a sane person, I can’t imagine just being taken away from my family and not seeing them for long periods or never again.

yep. it was inhumane and unfair to operate appropriate facilities so they closed them all or most of them. then they put them in prison-a much more humane and appropriate environment yes these populations require constant management and yes controlled environment. these facilities need not be where people are abused.

If this guy is so worried that he may flip out if he isn't given a day pass, he probably shouldn't be given a day pass.
