As an older sister of a bunch of adopted kids, the holidays are extremely painful for kids that don’t live with their birth parents. I came across a live called Family of 12 Unscripted that DD did earlier this year before the kinship placement.Everything that you have been saying about some of the inner workings of their lives, she directly addresses! It’s crazy. She was asked about the stalkers. She admits to letting her viewers know where their family goes because that’s their “meet and greet”. I was dumbstruck at this live. The big bomb was where she is going through her children’s ages and realizes that she is missing a 14 and a 12 yr old. She goes on to say she needs to find a sibling pair in those ages! It is heartbreaking for these children to be used this way. Thank you again for being a voice for the voiceless. 💞

"This is the tradition in our house: everyone picks out an ornament that feels special to them and then we all put them on the christmas tree to enjoy together; we'd love for you to pick out your ornament this year- you can put it on the tree if you'd like, or if you want to keep your ornament private just for you then you are welcome to keep it somewhere you feel it is safe." Let the children in your physical house know that they are important, regardless if they are your child or if the child is with you for unforseen circumstances. Let them know they are part of the family traditions, but also let them guide how much they participate in "family things". Children who are in Foster Care, or who have been adopted, are allowed to have their own feelings about their biological parents; the role of Foster Parents is to support the child and help provide a healthy and safe environment for that child to grow and mature-- including so if they one day the child wants to seek out their birth-parent(s) they will have a healthy support system to lean into should they need it while they process through the whole situation of unification as an adult. With one exception that I can think of, it feels like the family vloggers who make their content about "look at us, we adopted kids" have strayed so far away from what Foster Care and Adoption is about; foster care and adoption are trauma for every single child, as well the birth parents-- and family vloggers are silent on ways to support healthy Family Of Origin relationships (as appropriate) and support struggling birth parents as appropriate while a child is in Foster Care.
There should be a charge for peeing in the bed because it’s not just the sheets that get messed up. They are washable, however the mattress gets ruined. It’s very hard to get urine out of a mattress.

There’s a family in Alaska that did do a shopping trip at their local grocery store and donated the cart of groceries to someone walking in the door of the grocery store. They donated $322 dollars for their random acts of kindness that they do every December for vlogmas.

Yup, unit price tag. Tells you which item is less/more expensive, usually the bulk option is more expensive to buy, but has a lower unit price and is therefore less expensive by volume/quantity. And trial/travel sizes are the least expensive, but most expensive by unit price. Not always true though, so it's a good habit to always check unit prices while shopping. For anybody who doesnt already know this.

I’ve been friends with the same 4 girls since I was 14. We met in HS but they knew each other since Kindergarten! So I’ve been in the group for 27 years and some have been friends for 37 years. We’re actually headed to brunch to celebrate one’s bday at noon. I’d give up all the money in the world to have them and my two happy and healthy kids!! ❤️

I just made 8 freezer meals today. 4 I am keeping for us and 4 went to my daughter's dad and second mom to have later this month. I enjoy helping out whenever I can and we don't make 6 figures like she does. She can definitely afford to make meals for people with what she buys.

The Bells really do budget good and don’t waste either. The husband works a real and hard job along with the kids that are old enough. They own a farm and a lot of their food is stuff that they have harvested or whatever. And she cans her vegetables. She makes home cooked meals and they might not be super healthy meals, but they are made with love and care. And the kids also make meals too. I don’t follow their account but I like to see the videos when they come up on my Instagram.

As someone who is literally losing our first house right now (after only closing on it the summer) it makes me so mad hearing how wasteful she is. So mad.
This is our biggest fear. This is happening to so many people right now. a lot of banks and lenders are f-ing people over too which doesn’t help. we’ve been putting off buying because of the interest rates and wanting a 1000 extra a month after bills is hard to do with the rates the way they are. I truly hope things can turn around for u. It also doesn’t help when bank pre approve people for homes they could never afford month to month.
That’s one thing that drives me crazy is when she throws stuff into the shopping cart and then throws it into the van 🤪. And the things that REALLY bugs me is when she’s packing her kid’s lunches and she’s throwing the stuff into each kid’s lunches box and even the sandwiches 🥪😱 it’s like she doesn’t care . To me it shows that she makes their lunches with NO love at all . She throws it all into the lunch box and then press down to zip it up . Those poor kids get a smashed lunch . And another thing when she’s cutting the sandwiches in half I would never use the same knife to cut a tuna sandwich and then cut a meat sandwich like she does for James and Alex’s sandwiches 🥪 😱. To me that just proves she doesn’t care . Nevaeh is a very sad girl if you notice she’s never around them. In the beginning she used to go places and do things with Alicia but now she’s in her room all the time and don’t forget they have cameras in each kids rooms 😱.

We do that also, we get an ornament for each child, and then a family ornament, so that when the kids grow up and move out, they take their ornaments with them, and mom and dad get all of the family ornaments.

Josh my grandmother who raised me passed 2 years ago actually only 2 weeks after my daughter was born. I so wish i had videos of her. Make those short cakes she made for your children every year so your children can have it as a tradition and its special because it was your moms recipe. With one exception that I can think of, it feels like the family vloggers who make their content about "look at us, we adopted kids" have strayed so far away from what Foster Care and Adoption is about; foster care and adoption are trauma for every single child, as well the birth parents-- and family vloggers are silent on ways to support healthy Family Of Origin relationships (as appropriate) and support struggling birth parents as appropriate while a child is in Foster Care.
There should be a charge for peeing in the bed because it’s not just the sheets that get messed up. They are washable, however the mattress gets ruined. It’s very hard to get urine out of a mattress.

Yup, unit price tag. Tells you which item is less/more expensive, usually the bulk option is more expensive to buy, but has a lower unit price and is therefore less expensive by volume/quantity. And trial/travel sizes are the least expensive, but most expensive by unit price. Not always true though, so it's a good habit to always check unit prices while shopping. For anybody who doesnt already know this.

The Bells really do budget good and don’t waste either. The husband works a real and hard job along with the kids that are old enough. They own a farm and a lot of their food is stuff that they have harvested or whatever. And she cans her vegetables. She makes home cooked meals and they might not be super healthy meals, but they are made with love and care. And the kids also make meals too. I don’t follow their account but I like to see the videos when they come up on my Instagram.

The bells are amazing!! They also have a 12 ft Christmas tree BUT they cut it themselves from thier land and her teens boys and husband brought it in and set it up. And it's so sweet and wholesome. She also actually edits her stuff. 🤣🤣

That’s one thing that drives me crazy is when she throws stuff into the shopping cart and then throws it into the van 🤪. And the things that REALLY bugs me is when she’s packing her kid’s lunches and she’s throwing the stuff into each kid’s lunches box and even the sandwiches 🥪😱 it’s like she doesn’t care . To me it shows that she makes their lunches with NO love at all . She throws it all into the lunch box and then press down to zip it up . Those poor kids get a smashed lunch . And another thing when she’s cutting the sandwiches in half I would never use the same knife to cut a tuna sandwich and then cut a meat sandwich like she does for James and Alex’s sandwiches 🥪 😱. To me that just proves she doesn’t care . Nevaeh is a very sad girl if you notice she’s never around them. In the beginning she used to go places and do things with Alicia

We do that also, we get an ornament for each child, and then a family ornament, so that when the kids grow up and move out, they take their ornaments with them, and mom and dad get all of the family ornaments.

Josh my grandmother who raised me passed 2 years ago actually only 2 weeks after my daughter was born. I so wish i had videos of her. Make those short cakes she made for your children every year so your children can have it as a tradition and its special because it was your moms recipe. Its amazing how smells and taste trigger happy memories and feelings. The other day i passed a bakery and smelt apple tart and it was like i was taken back to my childhood in my grannys kitchen.
